  1. I'll be honest, if I run into a morality mission that doesn't fit my character... at best it's a bad dream. They're written as mini stories, not geared towards anyone's character. I have *no* problem with ignoring what a morality mission (or any other) had me do if it doesn't fit my character (as many don't.) My characters don't go out and take down Hamidon several times a day, after all - RP and backstory is put on hold for that, it's just game-is-blasty-shooty-punchy-fun-time. That said? A simple (or complex) realization - that "what I'm doing is not really helping" (whether it's "stopping crime" or "I don't feel better about me or what I'm doing") can be a good point for a turnaround and contact. I've had that happen as a simple realization, and I've had it happen as "ran across someone in the same situation that set me on this path, and they asked me to kill them instead of rescue them, because they couldn't live with it." And everything in between. It's definite reason to reach out.
  2. I don't think (just from my read of the OP) that it's a "to do this to change from one to another" idea, but a "I have a certain organization I want and would like to reorder without hitting the tailor multiple times" idea. 🙂
  3. Easiest way is to just quit worrying about the numbers. If you want numbers, open Excel. (Or Open/Libreoffice, or Quattro Pro or whatever. I'm not picky.) If you want to run around blasting things and being hero/villainy, open COH. 🙂
  4. For thiese: - Maybe. - They've said repeatedly they would not charge money. "License" does not necessarily mean "yes you can make money on this." - I'd expect, while some fetters may be off, they'd still need a larger team. "License" doesn't really mean they're now a professional development company - they're still a group of volunteers. - Hard to say. - See answer about charging. Personally, I wouldn't, because the team here has shown they are interested in good, solid development, not throwing things at the wall to see if they stick (and don't break the server. Just because it's spaghetti code doesn't mean you have to throw it at the wall.)
  5. While yes, you can save and load costumes and use that to change what's in what slot, I wouldn't mind seeing this.
  6. How about one going the other way, for the more modest - a changing room appears and hides the character for a second or two. 🙂
  7. No. "There was once an old castle in the middle of a vast thick wood' in it there lived an old woman quite alone, and she was a witch. By day she made herself into a cat or a screech-owl, but regularrly at night she became a human being again. In this way she was able to decoy wild beasts and birds, which she would kill, and boil or roast." - Jorinda and Joringel, Hansel and Grethel and Other Grimm's Fairy Tails. (What. I felt like being contrary.) 🙂 All right. In seriousness, yeah, Dark Pit kind of shares Clarity's problem of "it'd have been useful earlier." I don't really feel boost range *fits* with everything, but would have to chew on just what to replace it with. (Or not. Sometimes a "just take it" power comes in handy if you want to ignore it and throw the slots in something else afteward.)
  8. They've always been rather general. It's a holdover from the "we're not giving numbers" days.
  9. On most of the wording of the announcements, and GM commentary on the threads that have come up, it's been "While Homecoming is working on becoming legitimized." That (which can also be read as "the talks with NCSoft") is the only solid piece of information we have. GM Tahquiz also mentioned it being "against the TOS of various streaming platforms" in their post. Unless HC or NCSoft say something additional, everything else is speculation of various quality.
  10. I'm fairly sure the Eden critters are just "monster" level, as I recall. (Edit - yep, just looked. "Monster," not "Giant monster.")
  11. I'll thank you not to assume, or judge my (or anyone else's) characters and their abilities, or try to blow off the fact I don't want or need permadom with putting it down as "roleplaying." The first is a bad idea, the second is not your place, and the third, the way your statement comes across, is just smacking of elitism. Honestly, that entire post comes off as talking down. I've played more than my share of doms on live and here. I'd say I have a good handle on the AT. (Yes, that does include knowing what "Domination" is. You don't need to define it. That's part of that "talking down" I mentioned.) I've never felt the need or desire to perma domination (or anything else, for that matter.) If I *had* felt it was required, I'd have been pushing the devs to fix whatever was so broken with them to require it. If you *prefer* running that way, if you *like* it, great. Knock yourself out. Have fun. Do your thing. But that doesn't mean it's necessary as a general rule.
  12. Absolutely not. I've been playing them since COV came out. It's not needed in the slightest.
  13. Er. Perez already has its own (the Kraken.) Crey's Folly already has its own (Jurassik.) THey don't need to be populated by monsters - if anything, people would spend even *less* time in there, then. Plus they'd be nothing but an annoyance when you get sent to them to do missions, whether from tips or as part of an arc elsewhere. What would bring people in is actual content. Arcs related to the zones. They already *do* have backstory. There's plenty there to explore that could be delved into as story arcs.
  14. Well, at least one or two people are doing poolboys (mostly power pools versus primary/secondary.) Also people need to not freak out about and/or learn to use knockback.
  15. Just pretend it's #11 on the menu and comes with noodles or veggies and rice.
  16. What is their point? Same point as any other AT: Playstyle variation. Some people like playing with control. Some people prefer to blast at range. Some people prefer doing support. Some people want to be in melee. No other justification is needed.
  17. I don't honestly care about builds, so the inf would just be spread out among even more alts.
  18. ... you're aware you can make a poll on the forums, instead of going to a mystery site, right?
  19. ... does it start selecting team members instead of firing off powers when you're in a team?
  20. ... And in public, too. Tsk.
  21. They won't have the option IIRC before 10 anyway. Hopped on test - Jump to level 10, train level 2, no option for a "second build." (which is not what's being described as missing, anyway.) Leveled to 10. Second build becomes available. Went in to level up second build (to see if it happens right away or not) - got what's in the screenshot. So, yeah. THat's an issue. However, logging off (to character select) and back on, while still on the second (empty) build, brought the power selections back up. Going back to the first build had no problems. Waiting, then selecting build 2 (still unleveled at that point) came up fine afterward. Further testing - First test was on a bio/bs tank. (Magic origin, staying as consistent there as possible.) Got the empty screen. Second test, ar/dev blaster, did not do the same thing at level 10 when going to the second build. Third test, bio/dark tank - same thing. Blank leveling screen at level 10 when going to create a second build. (picking only primary/secondary, since that's what I did with the blaster, first bio tank had a power pool as well.) Fourth test - bs/bio brute. Same thing when going to the second build. Edit: Checked my 13 katana/bio scrapper on live. Didn't have this issue. So, if anyone else wants to test - check anything with bio armor, only have to level the first build to 10 to check. If you want to check other powersets (other armors, maybe,) on test - from what I see so far this is just bio armor, and only if you level and try a second build right away without restarting / going back to logon.
  22. Had to think about that - I wouldn't argue with more NPCs. (Might need to do something to sort out "utility" versus "flavor" NPCs in the base window though.)
  23. Just out of nitpickiness, some temporary powers will go there, as well. (And Kheld powers when shifted, but you're not describing a Kheld from the sound of it.) Things like the acids/grenades in Lambda show up in there. I'm not sure what they'd do (other than show up in the big power list) without that.
  24. Newly added Upheaval 2004, since I wanted something controlly. Think she'll be joining teams mostly - earth/rad is not a *fast* soloer...
  25. Don't think I've been on. If so it was back around 2 AM...
