  1. It might be too difficult to implement full dragons, but you could do something like this: 1. Shriek (per the sonic attack power) 2. Summon "draconoid" or lizard/snake-man (use the snakes enemy model) 3. Scream (as per the sonic attack power) 4. Grant Mystical Equipment (1st upgrade power) 5. Shockwave (sonic attack) 6. Summon Harpies (use the harpy/avian-like Talons of Vengeance models) 7. Siren's Song (as per the sonic attack power) 8. Summon Minotaur 9. Grant Legendary Equipment (final upgrade power) *I was debating using some powers from water blast, spines/thorny assault or plant control instead of the sonic ones...
  2. Here's a very quick Rikti set: 1. Psionic dart 2. Summon Rikti Soldiers, (3rd one summoned is a Guardian who can buff allies). 3. Mental blast 4. Improved Gear - 1st upgrade power 5. Psychic scream 6. Summon Headman Gunmen 7. Summon Portal - The portal is targetable/destructable, and summons Rikti Conscripts every few seconds 8. Summon Chief Mentalist 9. Elite Gear - Final upgrade power *I went with the psychic blast powers because the Robotics set already gets the energy rifle attacks.
  3. Does this work in reverse, like if I wanted a much closer picture of my character? Also, can you change the height of the camera? Thanks!
  4. Mastermind sets are, from what I understand, quite difficult to implement. Regardless, put together and present each power of the set, and outline some mechanics for how things would work...
  5. I suppose it's a matter of how you look at things and what criteria you are using. A blaster's entire primary is basically ranged attacks, and several secondaries have no or few significant melee attacks. I'm not discounting the playstyle, but I just view "blapping" as an optional/alternative way to play the AT...
  6. Well, I meant it partly in jest, but also partly as a "hardcore mode" foisted upon all players... 😉
  7. I wonder what the feasibility would be to utilize the tech that "kills" then resummons the MM pets with all their buffs while zoning, to allow the MM to "collapse" or recall their pets then quickly redeploy them...
  8. None of those have a fear or disorient toggle. While energy has a stealth toggle as well, it's schtick *is* energy management via energy drain and energize. I think part of the oddity with the set is how they game the PBAoE utility powers to the melee set. I just rechecked, and DA has 7 toggles vs EA's or Elec's 4, to boot...
  9. The question is how to make new content challenging without just giving enemies more HP and higher damage numbers. Can the AI handle more complex power allotments? Can enemies use tactics?
  10. Whatever is going on, it seems inconsistent. For instance, I rolled up a fire melee/bio armor brute, and enemies would run away. I also recently rolled up a demon/nature mastermind, and if I get into range to use the melee whip attacks, the enemies approach me. Is it possible there's some odd "switch flipped" with regard to taunt mechanics? *shrugs*
  11. [tongue in cheek] Simple solution! Add a "disable IO set bonuses" option and cap all enhancement bonuses to that of a +3 SO! That ought to make things tougher for a good many people. [/tongue in cheek]
  12. Dark armor is a set with many tools in its belt. Not all of these tools are needed in every circumstance. You need to weigh your ability to keep going in a fight against the benefit all those tools provide, and turn some off when they aren't needed.
  13. Well, I'd wager that a good chunk of people's satisfaction is tied to the reward one gets from defeating enemies. It's cool and all to see an enemy struggling against your holds/mezzes, but they yield no rewards until defeated. Similarly, you can mow down all those grey-con enemies with little to no risk to yourself, but again you get very little from doing so. I wholeheartedly agree that a good balance is what's called for, being "in the pocket" as you say. The difference here is that pretty much anyone can deal damage whereas content gets to a point where the current mez system is nearly useless or actually a hindrance to defeating the enemies and getting those sweet eckspeez, hence why I mentioned the "sliding scale" mez system...
  14. Actually, I wasn't. Maybe I'll play around with it. Thanks!
  15. How do you find the integrated keyboard? Using an external mouse or the touch-point? Have you tried running any programs off of the micro SD card slot? I'd love to know!
  16. The GPD Win 1 probably should have spent more time in development; The flash storage is basically permanently glued in, the micro SD card reader will randomly stop being recognized, it won't power on with the power cord attached, and the screen must be on in order for the cooling fan to run. I haven't played with the GPD Win 2 personally, but they switched from the Intel Atom architecture to the M3 one, included a removable/upgradable M.2 drive instead of NAND storage, and doubled both the RAM and SSD storage. I was playing a lot of older Steam games and emulators on my GPD Win 1, and for those purposes it was quite good. I recommend Victor Vran and #killallzombies since they made the most of the dual analog sticks. I payed a little over $300 for my GPD Win 1, but I don't know if the 2 is worth the over $700 they're asking for it. The keyboard was very small and button layout was far from ideal. There's also the GPD Pocket 1 & 2, and the GPD Mini to look into, all of which attempt to satisfy a different niche, so they may be worth your while. As of late, though, I've been more interested in finding good, smaller, used full-fledged laptops that I can reimage and upgrade to my own liking, than buying anything new...
  17. Well, that person asked what the smallest computer is that will run CoH, not one with dedicated graphics. Heck, I was able to, (albeit with everything turned way down), to get CoH to run on a GPD Win1, and it'd run even better on a GPD Win 2, and those have a 5.5" and 6" screen...
  18. Quick question: I'm not able to check on my computer ATM - is the only animation option for jump kick from the leaping pool that hand-spring-like one? I'm toying with a build that could use acrobatics, and while I'm not against taking SJ, I was debating taking CJ + jump kick instead, so I'd have another filler attack. Thanks in advance!
  19. Perhaps Hamidon's link with/connection to the individual DE creatures is so strong that no outside influence can usurp his control beyond the few seconds that a direct control power applied externally can, even if said influence is directly inhabiting said DE creature's body, or maybe Kheldians need a non-plant/non-crystalline body, (though that would still permit the lesser devoured)...
  20. What you'd likely run into, then, would be several "dummy floors" that only consisted of the elevator vestibule which was blocked off with some rubble/debris/locked gate/etc. Personally, I'd love to see maps be 1 continuous map/zone, be they vertical or horizontal in nature, where you could take the stairs or elevator, or simply fly up to where you need to go...
  21. I have an older HP Elitebook 2170p that I bought used and refurbished. It has a dual-core i5 and I upgraded it to 8GB of RAM, and it runs CoH decently, (I use the -usetexenvcombine switch to make it run even smoother, but remove the command when creating a costume so I can get the best image possible). It's an 11.6" laptop with integrated graphics. I needed the portability more than the sheer processing power, and I am pretty forgiving regarding what framerate I'm playing at, so take that with a grain of salt...
  22. Nova and Dwarf forms offer a lot for taking just 1 power. The inability to activate other powers is a tradeoff that you must weigh when taking/using said power. You can work within those confines and still manage a high degree of functionality, however...
  23. It's the like old adage; A dead enemy can't kill you. It's great and all to be able to keep an enemy locked down, but it's even better to take their piece off the gameboard and move onto the next group. I chalk a lot of this movement up to how binary the hold system is; Perhaps if mez effects worked on a sliding scale from doing nothing to being completely locked down, then such powers would be more useful...
  24. That's exactly what he'd want you to think!!!
  25. Ooh I got another: water blast/bio armor sentinel-type.
