  1. Have we considered putting this in "Ears" instead? This way we don't lose Detail 1 OR Detail 2?
  2. T2 is Storm Kick. Bonus defense on tanks and brutes.
  3. So does this mean that "get over here" powers might become possible?
  4. I like the weapon-free options for Stone Melee. More customization is always better. I think the logical next questions are (with standard code rant and volunteer time restraints already inherently understood): 1) can we get weapon free versions for the other sets that have random swords (Fire, Ice, PSI) 2) can we get weapon ONLY versions where weapon attacks are options for non-originally weapon attacks (An all fire sword option for Fiery Melee, for example). Thank you for all your hard work.
  5. Oh. Island hopping! Island hopping is fun. It's like a game of the water is lava!
  6. Well I usually rock infilitration two slotted with winter's gift and sprint with the stealth IO, which makes me pretty undetectable. The running speed is a little too much though, I'm SR and with Infiltration and Sprint running, I'm at the old speed cap of 92 mph running, which is hard for me to control. I thought it was cool to be at the old run speed cap without super speed, but it's not cool after all. It's a bit too fast for me tactically. I guess the option of putting the stealth IO in Infitlration exists, and turning off Sprint would probably save me some END. But it's the old speed cap! lol.
  7. I like the jumping mini-game too. I started with super jump, then I used Ninja Run, and now I use Infiltration, and learning how to time, angle, and understand hitting your landing target is something I've spent idle hours on over the years. There's something just lovely about hopping from rooftop to rooftop in King's Row or parts of Peregrine Island. Especially when you land behind an unsuspecting sniper with Crane Kick queued up.... I actually may strip out Winter's Gift from Infiltration and just put in a jump set. I'm re-learning why I turned off speed boost at null the gull. I seem to have lots of trouble maneuvering about at high running speeds. Sure it's nice traveling between missions, but in caves and tight office spaces, I suck at it.
  8. Still digging it. Thanks.
  9. Does this mean that the resistance kicks in faster? If so: Awesome. Then the oft-overlooked second trick our pony does just got better. Can we consider adding the PVP Toxic resistance to PVE also, and with bated breath, PSI damage too?
  10. I dunno..I think we're a little too negative.... Kalinda sighed, looking at the fallen Fortunata at her feet. The fifth or sixth this week. They had all been assigned to work on Project: DESTINY, but something was now horribly wrong. As they would attempt to gaze into the near future, they'd instantly cry in pain and fall dead, with only a bare scrap of information shared among their psychic link before they were cut off.
  11. Any of you involved in any illegal activity? 'Cause I could sure go for some!
  12. 100% thought this thread was gonna be about Freddy Krueger.
  13. I'll try that too, thank you for the advice.
  14. I'd really appreciate someone's generosity in releasing my main's name Aracknight on Everlasting. We lived on Virtue back since I8. My one regret about finding Homecoming is that someone snagged the name on the roleplay server. :( It's my global and my forum handle, so if you're out there, take some pity on me :)
  15. I love the Infiltration power. I love it, love it, love it. Before it, my MA/SR Scrapper used Ninja Run + Sprint with a Stealth IO as my travel power, and it would eat my endurance quickly. With the advent of Infiltration I got comparable speed, jumping, and stealth using one power instead of two. And after two slotting it with Winter's Gift, If i activate Infiltration, I move at roughly 78 mph for both running and jumping, and if I activate Sprint it pushes me to 92 mph running. So essentially, i get the old speed cap, the old jump speed cap, and invisibility level stealth with Infiltration and Sprint, for less endurance than I was using it for, meaning i can just leave it on now. So, faster, higher, stealthier, less endurance. It is an absolute win on every front for me. It does come with some out of combat Defense, but as a soft capped SR, I tend neither to need nor notice such things.
  16. A million times this. Add that animation to toxic dart from experimentation too since its the same basic thing.
  17. Oh, I'm on your side. One of the very few things I enjoyed about Champions was the swingline power, and one of the very few things I enjoyed about DC was....acrobatics? Where you have a grapnel, can climb, and glide? I forget the actual name, but I'm sure you all get what I mean. I think that not having this is one of the few holes in the "comic book travel powers" tropes that we adhere to, outside of vehicles or things to ride. I think they are working on some "knock towards" powers instead of knockback, and a "Get over here" power a la Scorpion from Mortal Kombat sounds dope too. I think there's some animations that can be used already, there's Dark powers that have a "pulling towards you" sort of animation that could be recycled, and i know some minion summoning powers, especially arachnos and Lord Recluse seem to have them rapelling from the sky, so there's got to be some resources available for it.
  18. Hmmmmm. Not too different than I imagined it as a thought process. I like the entangle of binding. Yank I picture as a ranged Air Superiority, using knockup instead of down, complete with the -fly. Swingline I figured would be the same "mechanism" as the jump pack. You go up until you let go, just without the timer. Swap I'm not feeling as much, but I think "Slingshot" with a Spring Attack teleport aoe attack might work better. Grounded I don't like. I always actually pictured using a swingline disabling your KB protection, since you have no way to brace yourself when you're in the air. In before the complaints of immersion breaking when you're swinging from "nowhere." I want this though.
  19. I play as if sunset was the snap, and due to some unfortunate math all of the Co* universe fell into the 50% of everything that vanished. I also, without referencing it by name, play as if the Avengers' actions brought us back. Per a piece of my bio: "It's like someone, somewhere snapped their fingers and said "Everyone. Comes. Home." Per hcwiki: Homecoming: City of Heroes has been in operation since April 2019. Per google: Avengers Endgame release date: April 26 2019 Coincidence? I think not.
  20. I think that a lot of us are returning players who had a pretty deep understanding of the game before. I won't lie, my focus when I first got back to Paragon last summer, after crying tears of joy at the Atlas Plaza zone music, was to get my main back to 50, getting my enhancements all set up, and unlocking my incarnate slots. I was a competent player who didn't need to relearn how to play *that* character, and when I accomplished that, I went back and did all the story arcs through Oroborous. And then I switched alignments and did all of them redside too. I had a blast earning 1500 badges, going through content, and exploring, primarily solo It also made all those expensive ass IO's easy to get because I got so many merits from the story arcs and exploration accolade badges.. Maybe others are on a similar path. Get back what they lost at sunset in a group, and then enjoy the slow ride down memory lane through flashbacks. You can never tell I guess, and at least the city is good enough to support a variety of playstyles, with none of them being "wrong."
  21. Give people the wrong time when they clicked on me so that they are late to things.
