  1. Hard no. Ice is already top tier s/t damage without a snipe, so this would be overpowered. Would be down to consider adding a snipe to Sonic though.
  2. Probably a good idea, but sad and telling that a power’s preferred state is doing nothing. Makes me wonder if it would be better off as a power built-in to pet classes somewhere rather than a pool power.
  3. I send myself messages to [...] powers and see their info. Often use local chat if alone, or send tells between two accounts, but a self message feature could be good for that too.
  4. With its AoE powers. S/T powers are not the problem. Forge is good. Painbringer is good. Temporal Selection is good. All come from good sets. The current state of healing as opposed to buffing/debuffing is not so good. Fortitude and Adrenaline Boost are working great; focus on the powers that aren’t. I’m curious what the buff on the RA’s would look like if they scaled them down to match however much they’d have to scale down the recharge to get them perma (presumably with some work required like with Eclipse or Domination).
  5. Fortitude and Adrenaline Boost do not need buffs. No vote there. More comments on other possibilities later maybe.

If the vendor name wasn’t so on the nose, misconceptions would spread like wildfire and people would start assuming that Pay2Win products should be every bit as much a part of the balance conversation as inspirations and enhancements. When in fact it’s highly debatable whether or not the devs shouldn’t just nuke these vendors from orbit and erase them from the game entirely. The name as is keeps the products in their place.

  8. And it’s why you have to be particularly cautious about giving people anything in the first place. If it turns out to have been a bad idea, you’re likely to be stuck with it anyway.

  10. I prefer that powersets be origin neutral as often as possible and that the conceptual work be done by the player with costume choices and with their imaginations.
  11. Well, it has some numbers that don’t make much sense. Where else does a tanker resistance toggle for only two damage types give only 25% resistance as opposed to 30-35%? Defense toggles are suspiciously low by a couple points as well. My new stone tanker is doing just fine though. Got whooped by Lord Recluse this week due to nigh non-existent energy resistance but no other big issues noted. The Regen + Max HP + Either Res or Def isn’t too bad all together.
  12. My point was that we’re finally at a point where it doesn’t have to be a Granite based set, so more in that direction pls IMO.
  13. Yes, you can now both jump and have toggled status protection with stone armor for the first time ever, unless I’m forgetting something about the launch days. Why else would I have finally made one.
  14. Fair point but just keep in mind when asking that the only way this will ever happen is as an OAS power. Otherwise it’s asking the devs to rework every power animation in the game for mounted combat.
  15. We’ve just been given the ability to play a mobile offensive Stone Tanker for the first time after however many years. And now this. If I wasn’t on my phone and on the go you’d be getting a shiny mob-with-pitchforks GIF.
  16. Do they? I think they just need to bump the values up a smidge, now that I’ve played a Granite-less tank. Brimstone should be 30% not 25%, etc. Otherwise feeling just fine now.
  17. I would prefer trick arrow or storm summoning here. More debilitating and more offense, with the big tradeoff being dark or rad will give you a self heal. But if you use inspirations that’s not an issue. Rad is totally fine but my gripe with dark is being slow on the offensive end. A couple weeks back my Ill/Dark solo’d a level 54 AV, but it took forever 😞
  18. I wound up skipping Shiver on my Dark/Ice that was made after one of your threads. Wanted too many things between the Primary, Pools, and the ice blapping powers. Was already planning to be in melee often.
  19. Yeah I looked there too. But even stronger than my belief that Uberguy did not make a typo is my own memory of this power... holding things.
  20. Also, the implication that only melee characters chill in melee is incorrect just sayin’ 😉 I’m 99% sure you’re reading it backwards and it’s mag 3 except for an extra mag 1 against robots. I can test and see if it holds minions / lieutenants though if you’d like. Anyway, the only metric in which TA is not amazing as a debuff set now is raw -regen, but its debuff to debuff resistances and its massive resistance debuff will do just fine for AV’s. Teams aren’t as dependent on -regen as they used to be. At least not at incarnate levels.
  21. Correct, I believe, but others could verify. And I’m not at my computer right now, but am seriously wondering what power I’ve been using if EMP Arrow is Mag 1. I have to check that. I doubt it.
  22. I’m pretty sure that actually IS how it works. Defense has DDR but there is no Resistance equivalent because resistance also provides resistance to resistance debuffs (say that five times fast). EMP Arrow is great. The resistance may be situational, but you can’t discount the AoE hold. For that reason, it can never be perma. Focus on using it to safely set up all your other debuffs (or for -regen if against an AV specifically). The resistance buff is just icing on top of all of that. Trick Arrow is now well into the “Very strong, do not buff further” class of powersets.
  23. My Stone Tanker sans Granite is more proccy. I don’t think you need to go so hard on set bonuses and mitigation when you could have better offense.
  24. I could get on board with Dwarf forms (not a lot of incentive to these powers when you have perma Light Form / Eclipse) and Dark Pit (because it’s so lame otherwise). Otherwise, I’m worried about overpoweredness (melee powers + Whirlpool) and the rule which shall not be named (Telekinesis).
