Negative. It is incumbent on the game to provide whatever the developers code into it, preferably unbuggy. It is incumbent on the player to assess what the game provides regarding difficulty and challenge and compare that to the tools the game provides to compensate or overcome aforementioned difficulty and challenge and to then choose the tools and playstyle that the player finds most fun. It is not possible for every player of every game to demand the developers add/remove what they have coded in order to meet the needs of each and every one of those players. This is especially true for a game that died years ago and is only being developed part time in the spare time of a handful of volunteers. I am all for options. I like the tickbox option someone mentioned. I just take umbrage at someone saying the game has a responsibility to provide something beyond what it is coded to do. It comes across as demanding.

Set it up like you want it then type /wdwsave On your next character type /wdwload Sometimes it will 'remember' but that's the best way I have found to work around it moving around.

Seriously: Alt-itis, What To Do? A Discussion on Self-Control
EmmySky replied to tripthicket's topic in General Discussion
I started with one of every AT...two each of the VEATs because they have two paths...my Khelds are human form only. So....no...there is no AT I havent played. There are powersets I haven't played because I dont like swords etc. Overwhelmingly, I love sentinels. I have 24 of them. -

*wanders back into thread sheepishly* Yeah...its an even 80 now. I have no self-control. But I have started really getting in to (addicted to) base building to take my mind off alts! -
Putting someone on ignore is not hurting them in any way. Usually they won't even realize they are on ignore. The ignore feature also does not equate hate. Putting someone on ignore simply removes them from your feed, you will no longer see what they say or post. It does not alert them that they have been ignored.

So change his name to Loot Shardwalker 😁

As a work around, can you promote your alts to the level where they can use the bins?

Seriously: Alt-itis, What To Do? A Discussion on Self-Control

Hi, my name is Emmy, and I'm and altaholic. I am sitting at 78 characters right now. The only thing that makes me feel guilty or slimy is that two of them are DP/MC blasters. But one SJs and one flies so they play totally differently! Yeah I didnt even convince myself on that one. To avoid the 'rerun same content 200 times in a row' right now I am: working on one of my 50s, getting her other incarnates built. If there are no teams hiring I work on building my base. I also have toons on every shard so if its slow on one I can hop to another. 78 is such a random number I am trying to resist the urge to make more babies to make it an even 80. Or a nice round 85. Hell that's practically 90. I should settle on an even 100. See, there is that slippery slope! Resistance is futile. -
I usually use shards to make 2 copies if the T1 Alpha and maybe one or two of the T2 (depending on if the random number generator loves me or not). Certainly scroll down and see if components are quicker or easier to make with threads, but shards aren't completely useless. And once Alpha is T4, unless you want to craft multiple Alphas, they can conveniently be turned into threads. As long as you continue playing your level 50, regardless of the content, you will continue to receive random drops of shards and threads, so making multipe T4s for your incarnate slots is possible and sometimes useful for different scenarios.

I was gonna suggest down a hill and not up it but I see that's been covered by @ArchVileTerror. Excellent example!

I have been running my D3 lately and people ask what is D3? Dark/dark/dark defender. Just to be contrary I gave her ion judgement 😀

They are automatically set black. You can futz with the colors (just above where you screenshotted) and then you will see it. I never knew if this was a bug or working as intended but it always annoys me having to pick a color before being able to see if the title goes well with my name. Even if it is WAI maybe it could default to white instead of black?

I agree with all your points! My base has everything you need up front and handy. I am working on personal rooms. I have made a meeting room that segues into the cemetery (my son likes spooky). Once I finish rebuilding my cemetery, I have a large empty room that will become a maze/mystery escape. But still, every essential thing is in the entry and an addition 1x2 room with 2 doorways so its a big open 2x4 area. On live all my base builds were a 3x3 grid...small 2x2 room (9 of them) for the villain group and larger I think 6x6 or 8x8 (9 of them) for the hero group. It was logically and well laid out but I am trying to go a different way now. My SG is just my son and myself (lotta alts) but I have seen random people passing through who use it as a hub. I dont wanna confuse them so the front end will remain clear and easy!

Drag the characters around, one may be hiding under another.

Adding an additional admin-only chat channel
EmmySky replied to darkgob's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I agree. Definitely we still need to be able to be warned for upcoming maintenance or missing foorls. When I first attended GM contests they used broadcast in the zone....if a new channel cant be managed maybe they could go back to that? -
Yep thats the one....tons of folks showed up so I am sure you can fit lots in for a contest and/or party!
-
There was a costume contest and party in a base on Indom a week or two ago...I know they had 3 leagues going but I don't know if they were full leagues.

As for order, I think you cannot start a Posi 2 if you havent run Posi 1, although you can join if someone else starts. Also some trials, like Cavern of Transendence still require you open the contact before you can start it, although you can join someone else's.

Back waaay old school...before IOs existed, a respec would return vender price for enhamcements left in your bottom portion. I dont know if that was changed on live or here on HC. Since IOs cannot be bought from a vendor there is really no way for the game to return your inf on IOs. If you move them to your trays during the respec you can sell them on AH or store them in a base for future alts. If you have just a few to change you can use an unslotters and move the enh from its slot to your trays and sell or store it. Good luck!

Is there another way to play? Scrapperlock for life! Granted, my sentinels think they're tanks but they still go full boar ahead and damn the torpedoes! Yesterday, on a brute, I was scrapperlocking a lil too hard on a DFB and realized, as I tasted sewer water, I shoulda waited for the actual scrapper to finish leveling.

I play heavily with binds because I hate using my mouse. D is a red, F is a yellow, G is a purple, H is an orange, J is a break free, K is a blue, L is a green and Z is a wakie. They are all listed to use the largest available first. A is a bind to combine insp into reds and consume one, for my tank farmer who can always use more damage. My bindfile is exactly the same for all my toons so by now I know where everything is and its muscle memory. 😁

I can confirm that if you are the right level range, David, Jim and Stephanie are on the 'Find Contact' button. I use that a lot for the teleport to contact option, especially for hazard zone contacts. You do have to wade through a boatload of First Ward contacts once you hit 20, which is why I dont use it as much after Jim and Stephanie, too much garbage to skip by. Maybe they could clean that up and streamline it so they are easier to find?

Whenever there is a tree with a low fork I jump/fly between the two trunks (usually). I also slot alphabetically and numerically. I may be slightly obsessive compulsive but its NOT a disorder....it is the epitome of order!
