I've been playing a ?/Martial Arts Dominator recently. [Trick Shot] is a chain power which takes Universal Damage and Ranged Enhancements. It looks like the ranged enhancement procs may only trigger on one of the targets (not necessarily the original target) is that correct or am I just not catching that it is triggering on multiple opponents sometimes?

If the suggestion was /altinvite all or /altinviteall, then you might get some traction. /altinvite all or /altinviteall would invite all your characters on that server to that sg leader's sg unless they are already in an sg. However, I don't honestly think that is needed either.

What are players not understanding? Are you indicating that you really don't know? My guess is at this point that the most new players are going to play on Excelsior or Everlasting if they look at the server population before making a character. If they are looking at bubbles on the log-in screen alone, they are most likely to make a character on Excelsior. If you don't understand why that is going on ... If you are a new player and trying to explore the game, you aren't going to be farming to 50. I play on all the servers. I don't play level 50 content (well, hardly at all) and I don't do raids (they are just a light-show and no fun for me). That being said. When I'm on Indomitable, no one is in the LFG looking to team up ... ever unless it is me. I think I managed to get some DFBs and Posi TFs going during the early days of COVID, but no one else was recruiting for low level stuff. No one was even recruiting for farming to power-level up the players that want to go that route. If you are only actively recruiting for end-game activities then you are not fostering new players on the server. I don't want to kill a server, but server transfers are free and you can always move back and forth between servers. There is no real reason to stay on Indomitable if there aren't people to game with. It isn't like Reunion where the server is more beneficial for Europeans over the other servers due to its location.

I think this is a relatively low priority in regard to quality of life issues, but that isn't to dismiss your post as you thought about it enough to post about it. Today people are all about instant-gratification in gaming. When City of Heroes came out it was about exploring the world and building up to a feeling of being super-heroic. With limited travel speed at lower levels, THE CITY was a really big place, and it could be a challenging to get from place to place. Often you would want to travel together as a group to get from mission to mission - especially if you weren't flying. (Flying/hovering was like the pause button. You really didn't even have to fly up very high to be far enough away from enemies that none of them were threats. This often wasn't the case on the ground, especially in hazard zones with random patrols). I think that some have already pointed out that the trams had separate lines and you had to travel from one tram to the other or to a ship to get to some locations. There weren't base teleporters. Mission and Team-Mission teleport weren't a thing. If you could get there faster, it was kind of on you to have recall friend to help pull your slower teammates to missions. (People weren't rushing ahead and entering into missions before the whole team was assembled to enter missions. Lots of courtesy and teamwork back then - not so much exemplar-ing down back then). So where am I going with this seemling long rant? It's all about the journey, exploration, and teamwork. I like flying, jumping, and running around THE CITY, but even I get stuck in that "get to the next mission fast thing". Really for me, that's more for my teammates than for myself. Other people are in a rush, so I try to help them out - you know, being a hero. So you have already pointed out some things that can help the situation. I think these are the main things that help. If teammates don't have the powers to move the team around quickly, then try to help them out with the influence so they can. I don't suggest pushing it on anyone, but suggesting it or talking about it to prod them into talking about it so the opening comes up to offer influence to help them get the powers would be the way that I would go. If people aren't interested, I want them to learn and explore the game and enjoy doing that. If you are the first one to zone into a large part of THE CITY, it is the friendly thing to do to call out which tram to use. "The mission is on the north side" or even just "North". Help out your slower teammates instead of leaving them in the dust. If you are really fast, that's great, but prove you are a hero and help out others less powerful than you get Teleport Target. Once those three things are covered, you have the basics. The recharge times on large teams will make most of this always available. The next level would be the Bases and Oroborus portals. It's easy enough to setup or get access to a base with teleporters to all the zones in THE CITY. The dayjob for parking at a sg portal and patroller (parking outside/gaining patrol xp) give you access to not only charges of base teleport for yourself, but also sg portal that your whole team (anyone actually) can use. Both Talos and IP (and some others, but Talos is the nexus for me) have base portals next to a tram, so getting to a tram from a base can be very fast. (It may seem weird, but it is often better to go to Talos and take the tram instead of going directly to a zone from the base). Oroborus portals is most useful as a method of getting to "board train" missions. They recharge fast, and it should be obvious how quickly you can give this power to teammates. Once again, none of this is to dismiss your idea. The game is about being creative. But the game is also about exploring THE CITY and enjoying the journey.

You don't need set IOs or even IOs for that matter to play through the content (either solo or on teams). If you are new, just use SOs. SOs are fine. If the content seems too difficult, you need to change your playstyle or set the difficulty down by changing your notoriety. (click on the little bubble on the right side of the chat entry window) Once you get to level 50, you will start getting a decent amount of influence and you can think about slotting up with other stuff at that point. don't forget :: - Yomo's Give-Away - https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/20275-yomos-whizbang-potpourri-extravaganza-of-a-giveaway/

What are your tips for managing a large character roster?
UltraAlt replied to oedipus_tex's topic in General Discussion
Spreadsheets. One is for characters. The other one is not so secret. My character spreadsheet gets updated about once a month, but I think i have been slacking. Each server has a tab. I list the character name, level, archetype, primary and secondary powers. (characters are sorted in the character select menu by supergroup - sg leader is in the top of each supergroup listing) Color code the Heroes and Villains by the text color of their names. (sorry no Praetorians) Color fill the name and related boxes with supergroup colors (I have multiple supergroups on some servers). Total the # of characters, combined levels (a 50 is a 50, I don't bother with veteran levels), and archetypes totals per archetype per server. Then total all the that information for a grand total area. Pretty much the same way I did before the Sunset, but with less servers to keep track of. -
Vampire movies, powers, themes, and my Nicolas Cage resentment...

Presence - Fears and placate + unrelenting (rise from the grave!) Concealment - Stealth, placate + phase shift (go noncorporeal) Dark powers? Sure Go Gangrel with Savage Melee. (someone around here wrote the book on it) -

Yeah, saw that, but was too tired to go back in and fix it. Beasts - Devouring Earth, Hydra?, Swarms

It's a bird! No. Is that a plane! No there in the water! Is that Aquaman?

Easiest way is with mastermind pet customization - powers stay the same but the minions look different Ninjas - Pirates, Sky Raiders, Knives of Artemis, ? Thugs - Pirates, Warriors, Malta, Council, Red Caps/Fir Bolg? Zombies - Spectral Pirates, Circle of Thorn Spectral/ghosts, Banished Pantheon, ? Robots - Clockwork, Praetorian Clockwork, ? Demons - Circle of Thorn Spectral/ghosts, Banished Pantheon, ?

Well, I always go with what fits my character conception for that character.
