  1. Same. I plan to start doing more arcs as my chances to team seem to be evaporating, so name me one of your arcs and I'll run it.
  2. I think that's part of the problem right there: players can't speed run, farm, or get the highest rewards from "the other stuff," so few people bother with it.
  3. Those two you mention are indeed meant to be pretty short. My general design philosophy is not to stretch stuff out needlessly, which often means I'd go for whatever "tiny" map I could find and try to not clutter it up much with unneeded spawn, and the leg of the story those two tell is organically (to me anyway) pretty short. But that's me and might tastes, I can see how it might otherwise come across as jarringly short or something. Again, thanks for your input, I've been considering a few tweaks based upon it.
  4. Eh, I still don't play that way, too boring, and I do just fine. But I know I'm in the minority on this issue, the AE in Pocket D always has a number of folk there.
  5. Not to sound Snarky ha ha, but I think he's about right. A new player go walk around and check things out, or they can zap about like headless chickens with 3 kins on their team. I guess maybe I'd try and find a way to encourage them to not fall into the "farm to 50 and then slot after two hours" path, so that they get the chance to realize there's more to the game than just that. I wouldn't like penalize them "your first toon must level normally" or anything, but... it's something to think about.
  6. The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter was also a good placer to start looking at making sort of sideways fairy tales.
  7. Savage Melee/Shield. I've thought to make an Elec, but then it would feel too similar and I'd probably wander away bored as I don't farm. If I farmed I think I'd have one of everything by now and no longer play.
  8. I dislike having to rush from one foe to the next on melee toons, so I made stalker with four different combat TPs, three of which also do damage. That was pretty lazy. I love it.
  9. The Fir Bolg and Tuatha might be my favorite groups in the game because they don't make me feel like I['m fighting some doltish weird street gang, and because they just look cool. They're also barely have any backstory or current story at all to be annoyed by, but I'd like to see people try at least. I made a toon with lots of TP specifically GM hunt during the Halloween event last year (and will pull him back out this season too), so lemme tell ya, the pumpkin pie guy is still on the menu. Lots. Often. Come the season, go to the Motel Hell, help out the MM leeches parked in the center of the parking lot spamming one power steal drops and XP from the rest of the group, and pretty soon you'll also be hopping around the map to have a slice of pie, guaranteed. Even with those despicable parasites, I still find it a fun time.
  10. Curious to know which two you thought ended abruptly. I have my ideas but don't want to name them for spoiling them ha ha. If it's the ones I suspect, yeah, they were meant to be short, partly to help the whole thing go by quickly.
  11. Who said anything about burning books? "Canceling" feels a bit extreme as well. I mean, you can say whatever hateful thing you want IIRC, but you have to take it when people point out that you're being an absolute tool for it. Here, seems like a sensible enough rule to keep the place from going to the dogs. "Stopgaps" do help worse from happening and ion this case, can also signal what the mindset of the people running the show want and expect of its users.
  12. WASD, space bar for jumping, maybe the mouse for flying direction; have been known to use F to follow a melee opponent, on occasion. I don't have the time nor inclination to set up multiple other buttons and then try and remember which control what on which toons six months later. Simple, gets the job done.
  13. Very oddball writing, probably not for everyone. I think it's "playable" enough? I don't have a crew to test it with as a group, but solo especially at less insane-o difficulty settings I did pretty well. As stated, you won't actually have to fight any GMs although a few do show up in non-combat roles.
  14. Doms are great because you can get a bit of everything, melee, ranged and control. That's a feature not a bug! That said, some power sets do better ranged or better melee, or can be skewed towards one or the other if you so choose via secondary pool powers, for example.
  15. But we want it NOW! 😃
  16. Not a bad idea, al;though I do like how they sprinkle the avatars around, like they're still here with us getting ready to run another TF...
  17. I think you overestimated what I was saying there. I had an idea for a Christmas Carol-based villain MA arc, but turns out someone else already did one, a good one in fact. Now, I could just go ahead and do it anyways, make it my own way, but now... the feel is just "wrong" to my sensibilities. It's not that I simply CAN'T or anything, I just feel like a I want some new-fallen snow to leave my own tracks in. Think of it as an artistic choice. I could do a Carol as well anyway, or, I could just devote myself to some other wacky idea anyways that no one else has really addressed yet (like Symphony Control ha ha). I'm more drawn to that path. (And I would bet there's something in the back of dev minds about staying original instead of introducing an also-ran into the game knowing it would become a tool ion the "my server is better than yours" idiocy.) People can decide to not do something for all sorts of reasons, but there's no hard and fast law, no. Ultimately we won't know till the devs speak up. Maybe they just wanna avoid too many fart jokes ha ha.
  18. I think the Fig Bolg and Tuatha don't have much going right now. Look up Fir Bolg or Eocahi if you don't believe me, the former is literally a stub and the latter barely two paragraphs long, one repeating the other. I speak as someone very biased for the Croatoa groups though.
  19. I think that might be part of the reasoning to NOT focus on getting a working set out of it, "it's already been done over there and we're not trying to copy anything, so we're going to do our own thing over here."
  20. Lots of classic comic book characters just have powers and don a skintight circus muscleman's outfit and are ready to go. "Powered armor" wasn't a thing much for classic comics. (makes me wonder who was the first, and how the numbers of them in comics might chart growing over time too)
  21. Everyone Loves Council, this fall on CBS!
  22. I actually have a couple of characters with Wormhole and somehow just could never get a feel for it. I much prefer jumping into someone's face than making them jump into mine. Just a matter of personal taste I guess. 😃
