Can We PLEASE Dispense With the Dancing Warwolves?
Coyotedancer replied to EyeLuvBooks's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
If possible, make it two rescues and give one of them a "+stealth" aura power like Steamy Mist... So that the other hostage (and maybe they themselves, too-) constantly loose track of the hero rescuing them and have to be re-collected any time said-hero gets more than two feet from them. -
Require Two Level 50 Characters to Get XP in AE

Not everyone chases badges, much less accolades, Solar. They're a bad basis for judging how skilled or experienced someone may be. I'll also point out that not everyone routinely runs through taskforces. They're not universally familiar content that every single player knows well. -

What? No more giant ranger-pic? 😆 -
I'd rather have my custom title back... 'Still kind'a grumpy about losing that with the forum update. 😖

Lvl 50 Boosts, Retcons & Incarnate Recipes
Coyotedancer replied to LightningDrone's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
We've discussed things enough times that you know I'm not some newbie who has no clue how the game works, Per... You just wanted to be a snark because you don't like the idea. It's okay to be honest about that. In any case, we know from past threads where set/AT-respecs have been requested and discussed that it actually isn't possible given the way characters are handled, so you have nothing to worry about. It's not going to happen without major rewrites, and we all know how likely THAT is. -

<_< A character list the size of mine and you think I don't know how to make an alt... Jeezus H Christ on a pogo stick. I know that being a deliberately obtuse snarktopus is just SOP for this forum, but seriously. Being able to respec a power set wouldn't be a BadWrongOIMGAwful Thing. -

I don't know... While I'd say we really don't need an "insta-50" button of any sort, being able to do a Full Respec that allowed changing a primary or secondary power set would be nice. -

Oh noes! People aren't playing the game the way you want them to! How terrible! How tragic! Whatever will we do?! -
I remember that early on the devs decided to halve the rewards that AE mobs gave, but I thought that was in comparison to the former rate of the AE things themselves rather than in comparison to whatever average non-AE critters produced.

I only have one Vig, and it's never happened to her... It's not something I've run into with any of my Rogues, either.

They're obviously Up To No Good...

Your New Year's Resolution: Move to the Rogue Isles

Kai says, "That's because the muggers here have learned to be afraid. It's really hard to tell if a lady with a purse is just a civilian or if she's a Night Widow going shopping on her day off." -
I ended up buying a modest number, just to finish filling one of our enhancement bins and to have a few left over to keep around for bet-hedging's sake.

Because sometimes we all need one... Tower of Strength from The Mission And something from Arai Akino... The music was, arguably, the best part of the anime version of Kaze no Tairiku.
-
'Gonna miss Hera... A most excellent person, with most excellent taste in music and Tanks.

Sorry for apparently wasting your precious time trying to answer the question... Sheesh. 🥺

The possessed scientists are the result of the Circle messing around with body-snatching people. They're basically Thorn Casters cruising around in the bodies of unlucky Portal personnel.

Mine tend to have their day-to-day "working" outfits (Which is basically spikey Oranbegan armor for the majority of them-), a Just-Some-Average-Civilian street-clothes outfit or two, and maybe a more formal (or informal, depending-) Social Activities look for clubbing and such. Some also have Specialty outfits. Kai has one that's her motorcycle leathers and helmet. Several of the Ordis Chronos time travelers have Nova Primeva Temple Guard uniforms. Bahir has his "Beach Bum" would-be surfer-dude outfit. Semnai is a little different... She has the usual Oranbegan, Civilian and Formal outfits, plus a very vintage-Emma-Peel style black leather cat-suit. But she has two different copies of each. One with Xhelethe, her red Thorn Blade, and one with a different, mundane sword. Why that one little switch? Because Xhel is also a player character. She's a distinct personality all on her own, has very definite *opinions* and there are just some enemies that she wants no part of being used on. Hydras, for instance. ("They are GROSS!" she says. "I do not want their goop on my blade!"-) She isn't shy about making her objections known, In those cases, Semnai sighs and switches weapons. It's easier than arguing with a cranky demon sword.
-
Don't forget the various and sundry Demons running around, too. Sonata made a deal with the Wailers for fame and fortune. The Warriors tried summoning the Envoy of Shadows to make a deal for power... We all know what the Circle's history with the demons was all about... There's nothing to say you couldn't be an Abyssal power-broker character. "Hey, Hero. I could give you a little boost... You know, just a bit of an advantage... to make sure you're up to Saving the World. Payment? Oh, nothing much. Just a bit of your Essence. A year or two of your lifespan.... Small price to pay for what I'm offering, really."

Now that ASF went live, what do you think of it?
Coyotedancer replied to Albion's topic in General Discussion
It works, but it also prevents you from doing some other things with the characters in the meantime, unfortunately... We only play together on Saturday afternoons, so that might be a bit of a complication if it took us several weekly sessions to complete. I'd see some definite push-back from MiddleCoyoteNephew in particular over being locked out of running AE arcs on his own with his go-to favorite. In the end, this just isn't a great content choice for us. But it doesn't have to be. There are plenty of other things for us to zark and fry and throw rocks at, after all. -

As I said, it's not just a difficulty issue. On the base difficulty, I'm pretty sure we could take the AVs given enough time... It's the length of the thing that's the killer. It was almost more than I was willing to stick with, and they're much less patient than I am. They just don't have the attention span for that kind of slog. I'd be hearing "Are we almost done yet?" a third of the way through. Probably even sooner if the death toll was particularly high. 😝 Like I said, as a mission arc we could do in chunks? It would have been fine... But it's too much all in one go. -
What do all your characters have in common?
Coyotedancer replied to Itsyagirl's topic in Roleplaying
Magic as an Origin. Rather they're Oranbegans, mythical beasts, Rularuu "bird things" or mystically-touched mortals of one sort or another, they all have Magic somewhere in their design. With some it's obvious (The Aegis of Serenity is a living spell, Ironhorse is an animate suit of armor, and Carwyn is Tuatha-) and with others it's less so (Kai and Ajda just look like everyday average college students-), but... yeah. Mystical sorts all the way down. Even Olympia (Code Merlin), the time-traveling Technomancer.
