  1. I either solo or prefer duo/trio small teams. A mid-sized 4 or 5 member team isn't bad either, especially if we're all on Discord together to coordinate. (That's the way I run with the family SG on weekends-) I'm not a huge fan of 8-member "full teams" outside of league content. I find huge Leagues entertaining, just from a pure chaos-and-spectacle point of view.
  2. Heard this one this afternoon on the radio... and pretty much instantly added it to my playlist... Lizz Wright's "Barley"
  3. Seed, huh? Have a Seed, Or two. 😝
  4. Just gonna leave this here.... LunchBox Labs
  5. *looks at her forum avatar* *looks at her character list* Nah. I don't have any favorites.
  6. Yeah... no. The lack of "open world" PvP is one of the reasons I liked playing City. ... And having it pop up in random zones (via Rifting-) is a big part of why I eventually walked away from Aion. It wasn't fun. It was a pain in the ass.
  7. The badgers on Liberty grumped about mine every time I brought them out. It turned into kind of a running joke. 😆
  8. Oh, dear... It's a suggested return to the era of "No squiddies need apply". 😝 You remember those days, right? That not-exactly-glorious era when people would get very, very grumpy whenever a player with a PB tried to join their TF or their team? Because they knew that having that squirmy seafood special along meant having to deal with extra pain in the rear? And all in exchange for a team-mate who was.... well, typically seen as Really Not All That. Warshades faired a little better, but those were not fun times to be playing a glow-ball. PBs will probably never be popular picks, even after the tweaks and reworks... But getting rid of those cysts did help the situation. I didn't see nearly as many groans after they were kicked to the curb.
  9. This isn't going to be a popular post. I've been reading this thread with some interest, as someone who tends to play Magic Origin characters almost exclusively... and who, in the Live days and on Paragon, had both a dragon (Brightfires, my original global's namesake and a City spin on my late-1990's Shadowland BBS Shadowrun character-) and a certain Strange Old Vagabond (A tattered, dottery old hobo Divinity who'd been abandoned and forgotten by his followers, and couldn't even remember his own name. Hardly the kind of scary, all-powerful being you guys seem to expect every "role-played god" to be-). After reading it all, I know that I'm more certain than ever I made the right choice when I decided to walk away from roleplaying on Homecoming. You may not all have intended it quite this way, but the thread reads as if your "community consensus" is that Magic Origin characters and their players are, basically, unwelcomed on Homecoming. We're all highly suspect, mostly unwanted in shared stories and typically apt to be pegged as BadWring god-modders, poor role players, obnoxious attention-hogs or some combination of all three from the get-go. People that you'd really prefer not to have around, in other words. I've already bowed to your collective preferences by exiting-stage-left as far as roleplaying here goes, but for the sake of anyone new who wanders in or for those people with magical characters who have stuck around... no matter what kind of thing they're playing... it *might* be worth taking a step back and thinking about how unwelcoming the tide of "OMGMagicPlayersAreBADROLEPLAYERSOutToSpoilOurFun"-posts can read. If I hadn't already thrown in the towel, I absolutely would have after this.
  10. Kaikara still says that the worst thing about Paragon is that there are no Nick's Weenies to be had. She's checked every zone in the city and found them all sadly lacking in chili weenies. It's a pain having to go all the way back home to Saint Martial just to find lunch.
  11. Nope. Having to grind iTrials was never fun. Adding emp merits as a vet level reward was one of the *best* things that was done..., right along with gaining iXP in regular play post-50 and getting rid of the reward time-gates in DA. Not having to run BAF-after-BAF-after-Lambda-after-TPN-after-endless-rounds-of-the-first-bit-of-Magi is a relief, frankly. I know I'm far from the only one who really doesn't miss the annoying, boring, repetitive pain in the ass that incarnating a character was back in the Live days.
  12. Or some luckless Midnighter... "Go to Dark Astoria, they said. A ~great opportunity~ they said... Yeah. Great opportunity to get my face eaten by monsters!"
  13. I like this idea... and I'd put it in DA, myself. Like someone else pointed out up-thread, there's more of s Circle presence there already. They just don't seem to spend a lot of time in the War Zone.
  14. I may not play very often anymore, but still... It's worth tossing in some seeds to keep the hamsters going.
  15. Obviously, your particular set of angels are the naughty, rebellious sort.... You know, the ones who defied their boss on the whole humanity-thing? Or they aren't really "angels" at all. They just look the part. (What? You think humans are the only ones who cosplay? Or who enjoy pulling one over on some gullible mortals? 😝 )
  16. My wolves and lionesses resent being tagged as "evil" just because the game calls their pack leader a "Mastermind". Come to think of it, said-Mastermind would probably be pretty ticked off by that herself... <_< The argument that we can't have goodie-goodie minions because somehow "All Masterminds are EEEEEBBBIIIL!" is a little silly. There are no purely good or evil ATs. There never were. Even when we were trapped making our Masterminds red-side plenty of roleplayers had characters that never twirled a single moustache. 😝
  17. Mine is a Madness Mage. So... yeah. Spiky, scary armor and glowing eyes when he's in "Serious Business" mode. When he isn't in serious business mode? He's just some cute, auburn-haired guy with round glasses and a tendency to be a little overdressed for the pizza joint he's checking out. XD
  18. We are, it would seem, completely boggled.
  19. There's no way that Cantus will hit 50 by the 22nd (Not unless I take to playing City of Farmville with him, anyway. 😝 ), but currently at 39-and-a-half, he is coming along well.
  20. I've had great fun with both my Psi/Energy Stalker and Psi/WP Scrap... Boggle does seem to be pretty much useless, though. I never have figured out quite what that's supposed to be good for. o_0
  21. Yesterday Cantus discovered Meteors. Much to the delight of Officer Four Legs, the Donut Baron and Jurassic Bark. (Yes. He's running with three dog-toons. The family SG has kind-of a theme. 😝 )
  22. KInMelee on a Stalker... Just to see what the set is like with a real build-up and more controllable crits.
  23. Only if I can also have a Purse Melee attack set to go with it. (Yes. I want to slap Hamidon around with a purse. It would be glorious.)
  24. For my much-beloved Dark Defenders' sake... *imagine I'm posting Pere's J-Ranger picture here*
  25. ** Tavaris the Death Mage grumbles something about "We don't speak of what happened the last time I went to Saint Martial Mutual to make a deposit..." **
