  1. I once-upon-a-time forgot that Scir could fly... Was on an STF with some of the Ouphs. Had a bad pull and ended up with all four of the patrons at once. I was on my main, my rogue stalker Grey Kestrel, and when we decided to split up the quartet, I had her get Scir's attention and lead him off. Our scraps took Mako and Scorpion, so the tank and the squishier folk could deal with GW. Kes held her own pretty well, but it took the rest of the gang a little longer to deal with the others than I expected, and eventually he did get lucky with that sword enough to wear her down... So I figured "No worries. I'll kite him." Forgetting completely, like I said, that THE GUY CAN FLY. XD Kes takes off... and... yep... instead of gettting some recovery time, he just followed right along after her. There was some cursing involved. And a facepalm. XD
  2. If a legacy version is left as-is, that's fine, If the devs want to build something completely new, that's also fine. The point is, however, that some of us do actually enjoy the AT as it stands now and would prefer not to see it scrapped. That's something I've said "elsewhere" before, when the subject came up. My opinion hasn't changed.
  3. To be fair... for Rogues, at least, you can damned near find yourself dropped from a TF or Ouro arc by proverbially sneezing. Bits of the game are really flakey about mixed alignments. (Which is exactly why I ended up with two identical red-side/blue-side versions of my main. It gets old fast. <_<) Maybe it's time for someone to dive into the spaghetti and take a look at the whole mess.
  4. Kai (in any incarnation) just looks at them, shakes her head, sighs and says something about tentacles and souls and "they never learn"... right before showing them the top five reasons why it's generally a poor idea to annoy a Death Mage.
  5. And mine was a general statement in reference to the "OMG NOT THIS ARGUMENT AGAIN" sentiment expressed by others. If you're really bothered by that... Ignore lists exist on the forum, too. XD
  6. The Uncommon salvage thing is still making me MANWHAT?! a little... But as long as people keep buying at that price, I guess I'll keep throwing whatever Harry drags out of the cosplayers out there for them to buy. 'Still bloody weird, though.
  7. I'm a Rogue player. I was a rogues-in-concept player years before rogue-as-an-alignment existed. XD Aside from that, as a writer... I'm a damned good editor. (Which is to say, I have absolutely no talent as a writer at all.) I am not the villain you're looking for.
  8. That's an... interesting... idea. But no. Not unless the drop rate was increased enough that anyone would have a reasonable shot at getting them regularly as drops. Which I suspect isn't at all what the OP had in mind.
  9. Out of pure curiosity, why do you think they should be priced so much higher than the Winters? Given what purps tend to sell for, that seems pricier than they deserve. (Then again, I *also* think the merit conversion price of 100m for them is absolutely absurd, so- *shrugs*)
  10. KB has its time and its place in the game. If you act like an absolute asshole about it, though... Like that Peacebringer I mentioned up-thread (He was very obviously waiting until those of us on the team with location-based patch powers had dropped them right under the mobs gathered up on the team's Brute to blast the whole lot to the four winds, and, as I said, got his man-panties in a royal twist when called on it-) then... Yes. You're likely to get yourself ignored as either an intentional troll or just a hopelessly bad player who's unwilling to figure out WHY using KB the way you are just isn't a Good Thing. o_0 Learn when and how to use your KB as appropriate, and it's unlikely anyone will have any issue with it.
  11. Not everyone farms the same way... AFK vs. Active, for instance. Speed-builds vs. zen-mode. Fire vs. S/L. People who farm for fun. People who farm for maximum returns. People who farm to PL rather than to chase INF. There's just not one Universal Farmer.
  12. In my case, it's probably easier for me to adapt to your schedule. Being a freelancer has its perks. XD (The Sanctum doesn't really need a tour, but getting to "the rest of the base" from the main structure isn't obvious.)
  13. The Badgers would come after you with torches and farm tools, you realize....
  14. For a blasty all-about-the-damage character, I'd stick with Fire myself. That said, my own /Bio was built with something else in mind and is Dark/Bio/Dark. I off-tank with Tavaris. He's not much of a damage-dealer, so clearing a map solo is slower than proverbial Christmas... But there's very little goons can do to stop him. I joke that being in his way is basically like being caught in the path a glacier. XD
  15. Yeah... and that dev post is EXACTLY why I'm worried about the whole AT being completely ruined in the name of "fixing" them, to put it bluntly.
  16. As someone who actually spends a fair bit of time playing Sentinels... I still say all they really need in general is a balance pass on their damage sets. Currently the various sets are very, VERY uneven and some are definitely better tuned than others. If Psi and Archery, for instance, handled as well as DP, Fire and Dark? That would go a long way towards improving things. AR is a different beast. That one needs more tinkering than the others... The reduced range and such really hit Assault Rifle harder than they hit most of the other primary sets, and it's going to take some more serious revamping as a result.
  17. Those of us who actually enjoy tossing our characters into the middle of huge hordes of angry cosplayers (among other things-) for fun and profit will still do that. We just don't see as much of the "profit" part as we used to... The fun? That's still there, and that's why at least my particular sub-set of the farming population is unlikely to give it up any time soon, in spite of the loss of INF or the superior return ratio of marketeering.
  18. I dunno… I've said many times that my MM Amtes' demons were enough to make a saint curse. I definitely understand the urge to set loose that 'Inner Sailor' we all have where those yahoos are concerned. XD
  19. Big family... *tons* of cousins...
  20. I'd absolutely love to have a version of Psi Melee that used the blade FX for everything but tossing everybody around and boggling them. The punchy-fist bits work for some characters, but having the option to go all-in on the blades would be a much better fit for others.
  21. Mr. Coyote and I used to duo a lot in the Live days... Just about anything can be done that way, honestly, depending on the characters. We did all of the Task Force Commander TFs with a Dark/Dark Defender and a Titan/SR Scrap. We did Doc Q with two Stalkers. We did most of the hero-side regular mission arcs with all kinds of things (His Fire/Energy Blaster and my WP/DB Tanks were just great for that. XD), and did complete Praetoria runs all the way though Night Ward with others. Red side? That too. A Nightwidow/Crab "Blastermind" pair we had were probably the most fun there, though the Thugs/Pain MM and DB/WP Stalker were a blast, too. The point is, almost anything is possible. Just get out there and give it a try. XD
  22. You've heard me say that before, too. XD "DarkityDarkDark" is how I used to refer to Nemissary, that first crazy Death Mage of mine, all the time. (ETA: And Yes. Void's Thorn has Nemissary's ridiculous build. No way I *wasn't* going to go Full Ludicrous given the amount of fun I had with Nem back in the day.)
  23. I have one character with three different avatars.... Kaikara (KM/Bio/Dark Stalker), my main, started out as a Rogue. The majority of her friends, though, were Heroes. After a few months of having to constantly side-switch just to play with them, I got fed up and made a character called White Thorn. White Thorn is also a KM/Bio/Dark Stalker. She's Kai's "heroic alter ego"... The name and disguise Kai uses while she's running around with her goodie-goodie pals in Paragon City. The character has identical power picks and exactly the same IO set-build and Incarnate powers as the original. She's just natively a Hero rather than a Rogue. The third version is something completely different. Void's Thorn is *still* Kaikara, but she's a Darkity/Dark/Dark Defender rather than a Stalker. She represents a version of Kai from some point in the future... A Kai who completely embraced that darkness-between-the-worlds that she draws her magic from, and in so doing became something of a living extension of it. She's a Void Walker. No longer entirely human and not exactly the same person she was before... But close enough to unnerve everyone who knows/knew her. They all have similar costumes. Kai's is in classic Death Mage colors. Thorn's is bright white. Void uses the spectrum body in flat black with a completely black outfit and wispy black aura.... She's meant to look a lot like a shadow of the other two. XD Otherwise? Nope. I have a few that repeat either a primary or secondary set another character has, but none of the rest of the gang duplicate both the way Kai and Thorn do... and none of the others are alternate avatars of the same character the way my "multiple Kais" are. Costumes are a little different, My Oranbegans all have outfits using the Circle armor bits, they just all use it in different combinations and colors. My four Nova Primeva time-travelers all have matching Temple Guard uniforms, too... But beyond that they all have other outfits that are very individual.
  24. I think I have... Maybe three people? Four?... on gignore in-game. One was a player who got his jollies by intentionally trolling his own team with his Peacebringer's knockback, and got nasty when called on it. I ignored him because I would rather not play with a jackass. The others were either jerks in team/league chat or on one of the channels... racists, misogynists, and that kind of thing. IIRC one of them was very into rape jokes. Otherwise, I'm pretty forgiving. I don't ignore people over general disagreements or just for having abrasive personalities. It has to be something SO annoying that I can't imagine anything else they might say as useful or entertaining.
