  1. It's just that Storm is a lot of fun to play. The more I think about it, being paired with Mercs has almost nothing to do with why it's my favorite.
  2. It's explained in the post you quoted but... This is the Necro pet slotting that's enough to allow them to fight nonstop for 15+ minutes without running out of endurance. +33% end reduction in Zombies and two +3 heal/end HOs in Dark Empowerment. I love it. Zombies in TV/films are depicted as undead monsters that do not fatigue. It kind of fits that Necro needs little to no endurance slotting.
  3. Mercs/Storm. It was my favorite even before the changes. Close second would be Thugs/Storm with perma Gang War (Long GW recharge, it will fall to third). Third is Necro/Dark. All my other MMs pale in comparison. Bots/Traps, Demons/Thermal and Beast/TA. Still haven't gotten a Ninja pairing that I like to 50.
  4. The build could use the Shield Wall unique for +5% res to all damage types, and Reactive Defense unique for +3%/scaling +res. Range is alright in Fearsome Stare but really not necessary. Drop those for SW and RD uniques. Imo, Shadow Fall is worth slotting with some +dam res since there is a lot of energy damage in incarnate trials. It will help get N/T res to cap. Can probably get +75% S/L res if Box/Kick and Tough are taken. I would probably sacrifice Soul Tentacles and Oppressive Gloom to pick them up. Slot the purple set into Howling Twilight and use it frequently for an AoE stun. I went the Scorpion Shield route as I wanted to be softcap to S/L/E with one Darkest Night activation. Certain unique IOs work on pets when slotted in their upgrades. Enchant Undead: Impervious Skin +regen applies to pets. Dark Empowerment: Miracle, Numina's, Regenerative Tissue and Panacea. Dark Empowerment is a pretty good to slot up. Heal IOs improve the pet's self-heal. Heal IOs also raise the pet's max HP which in turn, improves their regen. Endurance improves the pet's end usage. I don't feel the MM attacks are worth adding procs to. Their chances to proc are low and the build may not have the endurance to spam them frequently. A lot of people will disagree but don't bother slotting the Lich for -tohit debuffs. The MM has Darkest Night and Fearsome Stare. All the pets have -tohit with a lot of their attacks. Fluffy also has -tohit as well. Slot the Lich like normal for acc and dam, Cloud Senses proc and mules for pet unique IOs. Or with some acc/mez and dam/mez HOs to improve it's hold/immob/fear. Regardless I think your build will perform well. Alot of stuff I mentioned is just my own personal preference or playstyle.
  5. StJ/SR, NB/Regen, Sav/ElM and Staff/Stone all seem pretty top tier to me.
  6. +Damage bonuses can be built higher. I had +60% at one point on my SR Stalker but settled on +52% in favor of more survival. That includes +10% from Hybrid Assault and +10.5% from Leadership Assault. Sets to look for: +2% - Red Fortune, Adjusted Targeting +2.5% - Performance Shifter, Gaussian's, Touch of Death, PVP IOs +3% - Mako's, Obliteration, Overwhelming Force +4% - ATO 1+2, Apocalypse, Soulbound Allegiance Still has a lot of damage procs, unique IOs, softcap def, perma Hasten and enough recharge to run a top attack chain.
  7. The build is missing the Steadfast +3% def unique. I recommend building for more +recharge just to get Tar Patch and Howling Twilight up as often as possible. More Luck of the Gambler +7.5% and split Superior Mark of Supremacy for multiple +10%. Five slot Howling Twilight with Absolute Amazement. Numina/Regenerative Tissue are not very useful slotted in Maintenance Drone/Upgrade Robot. MD can trigger Numina's on itself but is unaffected by the +regen/rec. Protector Bots can trigger RT on themselves when they heal a target but would be more useful healing their bot-mate for a higher amount. Theft of Essense proc is useful in Twilight Grasp if the build has endurance issues. Overwhelming Force KD IO is great in Battle Drones. It gives all their attacks a chance to KD. Most of the Assault Bot's attacks knockback anyways. The Sudden Acceleration KB-KD IO would be a good replacement. The +regen portion of Impervious Skin works on all pets if slotted in Equip Robot. Protector Bots has a +13% def bubble (Unenhanced) to M/R/A and S/L/F/C/E/N (No Toxic or Psionic def). It lasts for 4 minutes and recasts it when it wears off. It's +def stat doesn't show on Mids' so your defense numbers are higher than they appear. The build may not even need Scorpion Shield. Without it, defense numbers will be around +25-30%. Add the Protector's +13, they will be at +38-43%. Add Darkest Night and/or Fearsome Stare, and the build will at equivalent softcap def. Regardless the build will probably perform well if no changes are made. Good job, man.
  8. Vengeance can't be cast on a dead pet but pretty sure pets get the buff when it's used on a fallen teammate.
  9. Unable to open the build for some reason. I have a NB/Regen Stalker with +965% regen and at one point, made a MID's build for a Kat/Regen Scrapper with +930% or something. But is easier to achieve with Divine Avalanche helping with +def, but I'm sure you can scrounge for more. Rule of 5. We can slot 5 of one type of set bonus. Anything above 5 will not benefit the build. Just from the screenshot, it looks like your build has five +10%, two +12% and two +16% regen buffs from set bonuses. Two slot Numina/Overwhelming Force for more +12%. Take Dark Blast/Summon Widow for two more +16%. Also two slot Pounding Slugfest for +8% regen. Two slot Power Transfer for +6% regen. 2409 is Scrapper HP cap. Won't be able to get more than that. Even if base HP + Dull Pain + IO set bonuses + accolades = 2700 HP, the build will still be capped at 2409. If you're way above that number, alter some IOs to get just enough to cap yourself. Take into consideration accolades if planning to get them. I think your build would benefit with Hasten providing +70% recharge. It could free up some slots to chase for more regen or def. Also consider taking Physical Perfection. It will provide more +regen in the end, but will lose Shadow Meld.
  10. I would say it depends on your build and playstyle. I skipped the Medicine pool and have no regrets. To help compensate, Power Transfer proc slotted in Stamina, Physical Perfection and Superior Conditioning plus Panacea proc in Health. They heal an average of 14.90 hp/s on top of regular regen. On my build, it works out to about 32 hp/s total. Three Power Transfers + one Panacea, in one minute (19:56) healed for 1041.44 hp, about 17.36 hp/s. The next minute (19:57), they healed for 852.04 hp, around 14.20 hp/s. Final minute (19:58), healed for 972.52, about 16.21 hp/s. It seems higher than 14.90 hp/s but I did a 30 minute test in the past and the average was lower than this 3 min test. Advantages: 1. No endurance cost. 2. No cast time. 3. No interrupt time. 4. For Regen enthusiasts, they're not effected by -regen debuffs. Drawbacks: 1. Heals less than Aid Self. 2. Untimely, random when the heals happen. 3. When getting pummeled, there's a good chance when PT/Pan heals, it won't be enough to make a difference. 4. Four dedicated slots without set bonus. Slotted Preventive Medicine +absorb and took Rebirth Radial Destiny. Also Reactive Defense unique to stack with SR's scaling damage resist from Agile and Dodge. Also Spinning Strike's KD effect can be useful at times.
  11. I would probably build for softcap S/L def or +32.5% to S/L/E. Then build for +recharge. Just to get Regen/Rec Auras up as often as possible. Also to get Fort's recharge down to 20s or less so it can be cycled between pets to give them perma softcap def.
  12. Click options and Switch to Advanced Mode.
  13. FF is pretty amazing on MMs. Played around a bit on Beta. Slotted Deflection/Insulation + PB + Clarion Radial + slotted Dispersion will softcap any/all pets within range to M/R/A and S/L/F/C/E/N. Add slotted Maneuvers + Edict + CtA will get them above incarnate softcap, +58.5%, to the same positions and damage types. That's alot of def for a minimal amount of power picks and slots. Might be overkill for defense pets like Bots, Ninjas etc. Great for resist pets like Necro, Mercs etc. I'm going to probably try pairing FF with Ninjas. Get pets to incarnate softcap and build the rest as my first Scrappermind. Or maybe just walk around lazily in the Personal FF.
  14. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on Netflix.
  15. I love my Mercs/Storm. Having the extra power to slot pet IOs (Tornado) is helpful for slotting Merc pets to their full potential without sacrificing any pet uniques. It's surprising to see how much mitigation knockdown can provide and Storm has an endless supply of KD powers. This combo was able to breeze through +4x8 Council before the i27.5 changes.
  16. Slot the Overwhelming Force KD proc in the T1 pets. Also slot ATO 1 and 2 (Command of the MM and Mark of Supremacy). I think they're all slottable at level 10. Control the pets, don't let them run around unleashed, all willy-nilly. Passive-Attack My Target. Hit an enemy that's aggro'd on another teammate, help defeat them faster. Focus down one target at a time. Envenom, Weaken, the hold power. Cycle antidote among all pets every 90 seconds. Hit targets further away from a tank. If a tank has aggro, most AoEs will be focused around his location. Keep pets out of AoE range, in the tank's vicinity to help avoid splash damage. Fortify Pack often.
  17. It's a strong build. Depending on your playstyle, the build may have endurance issues. Chrono Shift's end buff lasts for 30 seconds. Only the +rech portion lasts for 90 seconds. Taking that into consideration, when running Group Fly and the typical toggles (Scorpion Shield, CJ, Hover, Assault and Maneuvers), end gain will be around 0.7 end/sec about 72% of the time. I recommend getting Hasten, Chrono Shift and Serum to perma. The build is missing the Steadfast Protection +3% def unique. I consider Time's Juncture to be one of Time's better power picks. Even if softcap, the -damage debuff is equivalent to +res to all damage types, for MM, pets and teammates, from targets affected by TJ's debuff. I think it would be slightly better to slot Kismet +acc in a toggle rather than Farsight. Always active VS clicking to activate. I do not believe Kismet will apply to pet or teammates when slotted in Farsight. There are a lot of slots invested into Tactical Upgrade. Maybe swap those slots with Maneuvers. I feel like the build is starving for power picks because two travel power pools was taken. Leaping and Flight. I recommend dropping one unless you have a theme in mind or if this is also a PVP build. Consider dropping Mace Mastery, PB and Scorpion Shield. Softcap S/L/F/C/E/N is achievable without them as I have it on my Thugs/Time MM. Though I have no travel powers (Except Ninja Run) and used IO boosters and Clarion Radial Destiny to get there. Maybe go Mu Mastery and pick up Charged Armor. Drop the Leaping PP and take Boxing and Tough. Can probably hit +75% S/L resist with them and some IO slotting. Energy res would get a massive bump up as well. I'm a big fan of frankenslotting MM pets, especially Mercs. It raises their damage output a considerable amount. But the build will lose IO set bonuses making the MM overall weaker. With perma-Serum and Farsight, pets can slot for minimal accuracy and endurance. A lot of focus can be put on +dam, procs and pet uniques. Regardless your build will kick-ass if no changes are made. Good job!
  18. Blind luck. I didn't really look at CoH for years, occasionally checking the odd Titan, FB and Reddit group to reminisce. Just happen to browse the sites when the secret server was revealed, next day the Discord meeting thing happened. I joined in, listened to the whole thing, code released. It all happened so fast. I think after that Discord meeting, CoH was back a few days later.
  19. Go Muscular Core or Radial (If the extra end is needed). SR can hit softcap pretty easy and Quickness provides +20% recharge. Getting perma-Hasten and enough +rech to run some of the best attack chains can be achieved with IO set bonuses.
  20. Click the circle on individual powers to toggle effects on and off.
  21. Tested and the heal amount seems to increase with IOs. With +99.1% heal IOs slotted in Maintenance Drone, it increased from 267.72 unenhanced to 532.5 enhanced. Tested with a secondary build, Group Fly and taking heavy damage from a fall at max height in Atlas Park. The Maintenance Drone's max HP of 1349.33 does not seem to change with IOs slotted. It seems to heal a max of 4 times before self destructing regardless of slotting or amount healed. The amount the MD heals for remains the same regardless of how much damage a bot has. I mean it will heal 532.5 hp if a bot's hp is at 75%, 50%, 32%, 1% etc. Tested by falling from different heights in AP.
  22. No, I haven't. I have a few ideas for the build but just been busy. Work on new characters when online. The few changes didn't really make me happy. It sat unchanged and it fell by the wayside. Easiest change would be to drop CJ and Slowed Response for SS and BO. Replace the BU proc in Enforcers with a LotG 7.5%. Dropping CJ, Slowed Response and the Mace Mastery PP for SS, BO, Bonfire and Char. Use Clarion Radial to compensate losing PB. Skip the Epic/Ancillary PP completely because I want to keep Slowed Response. It will lose one or two +7.5% recharge bonus if I go this way. Play around with it. I'm sure you will come up with something that works.
  23. Pretty close to capping S/L/F/C/N/P resists if Cardiac or Resilience Alpha is taken. Also L/M will be at softcap def if Divine Avalanche is used every 10ish seconds. Add it regularly to an attack rotation. Use the Set Bonus Finder to help find what's needed. Definitely add the ATO2 unique. Be wiling to use IO Boosters to help get there. Be willing to compromise to get the more important stats higher/capped. Dark Regeneration benefits from accuracy. Added Resilient Core, Activated Divine Av, and switched a few IOs around. 24. I remember back during live, an SG teammate used to Power Thrust enemies off rooftops, quickly TP Foe them back to his feet, and proceed PT them off again. It was hilarious and I had to recreate it on Beta! Range Boost and other bonuses to increase range are a must.
  25. Haven't tried it but I think the Beast/Sonic combo would be pretty legit. Bursts of brilliance when Lion's Roar activates for +6% def (unenhanced, x2 Lions) but they last for 15s with a 60s CD. Pet's def will be at around +26% M/R and +41% AoE without Lion's Roar. That includes pet inherent def + pet unique IOs + heavily slotted Maneuvers. Only half the pets (Lions and Alpha Wolf) get Lick Wounds to heal themselves on a 60s CD. Dire Wolf has a heal on a 120s CD. Two T1 wolves have no self heal. Their resists will be spectacular. Capped at +90% to S/L/C. Around +75% to F/E/N/T and +35% to P. That's with the pet inherent + IO unique auras + heavily slotted Sonic Barrier/Haven/Dispersion. I sort of want to recommend Thermal instead of Sonic. Less resists but heals in a more controlled/timely manner. But regardless you can probably make Beast/Sonic work well.
