Huh, just had a thought. With the new Combat Teleport, will this make Telekinesis OP? An auto-hit Hold. And you can just teleport to the target and gank them, while they cannot counter-attack. Or, what about Fold Space? Snag them with TK, then FS them back to you. Hmmmm.... thinking about re-activating my Mind/Psi.

Ugh, you think so? The only thing a Widow has going for it is double leadership, which really isn't that exciting.

Savage, hands down (pun intended). I have a melee-only Dark/Savage that is a beast.

I know it is a pipe dream, but I would really love to see more secondaries proliferated into Dominators. There are a bunch of ranged sets that would make for fun Dominators. I'd love to do a Mental / Dual-Pistol theme. /Archery would go with a bunch of different primaries really well. Oh, and come on Water! That's just pulling from Blaster. I mean, they pulled Savage from the melee ATs and added in a few weird ranged powers. Why not Staff or Broad Sword? No real point to this post, just killing time and brain cells for fun.

What Incarnates were you running on this? Any amplifiers? I want to try on my Fire/Fire tanker.

This is exactly my plan. She already uses regular Teleport to do this, but with instant-CT, it is going to be even better. I might even pick up TP Target

I don't think there was anything else going on. And no 5th, they were just pontificating like they like to do. No reticles that I recall.

So, I'm running around Brickstown, and I decided to stop for a bit of afternoon Council bashing in the street. There I am facing 2 whites and a yellow, and all my pets just decide to take a personal day. As in, they did not do anything, just wandered around following me as the council bashed on my face. Even when the council attacked the pets directly, they did not fight back. I tried confusing some council to take up the slack, but as soon as I confused them, they also stood there doing nothing. I'm not sure if my traps pets were attacking, because I can barely see them, anyway. But the Illusion pets were definitely not. Anybody ever encountered this?

Focused Feedback: Teleportation Pool Revamp

Yeah, this is what I've been saying. For meleers, it is going to become one of those "gimped if you don't have it" kinds of powers. Once it drops, I'll drop my teleport binds for everyone to use. I currently use regular Teleport on my Scrapper for combat movement, and even with the long cast time, I have to be careful not to kill-steal everyone by getting to every target ahead of them. I have a /Savage Dominator that is even worse, with her abuse of Feral Charge. As far as PVP, I cannot even fathom how they are going to balance this. It just seems like it will be so OP. And most battles will turn into Teleport chases (which actually sounds kind of fun, but eventually boring). -
If you are determined to keep Emp/, I am going to join with the recommendations to dump /psy. Take one of the higher damage secondaries, like Fire. But, if you really want to ramp up your kill speed, I recommend changing the primary to Dark/ or Poison/.

Who you think you schooling on wormhole tactics? Boy, I been wormholing stuff since before you were born. -
It took 8 paragraphs to say that there has been little new content and people get bored doing the same thing?

This would be acceptable. Increase the accuracy, too. Even just allowing the TP mag to be enhanced, like you can for KB, would be a step in the right direction. -

As a long-time Gravity mainliner, this is some nonsense. It really takes away from the uniqueness of Wormhole. Now half the tanks and other meleers are going to be teleporters. I tolerated everyone mocking Wormhole for YEARS back in live. Nowadays people finally appreciate it a little bit. Then, it gets nullified. (And don't tell me about the stun blah blah blah, lots of powersets have Stuns, that's not the exciting part). And so, Fold Space is available at 14, but Gravity still doesn't get it till 26? Even worse nonsense. Yes, I realize FS can only pull the enemies to you, but that's what WH is usually used for, anyway, so the limitation there is minor. -
This is why I never pop it in combat

Grav/Storm, of course. Both grav and storm bring decent damage early on. By 16 you have Lift, Crush, Propel, Crushing Field, Gale, and Freezing Rain as decent damage. Plant/Dark is good, as well. Dark is defensive, with a good heal. Plant has Seeds of Confusion at level 8. Fire, of course, is one everyone recommends for good damage. I am not fond of the playstyle, but it is good at damage. Remember that playing solo, it is better to consider Debuffs than Buffs for your secondary. -ToHit & -Damage helps you survive, -Def, -Res helps you speed up your kill rate.
-
Not sure about Greycat, but for me, when I play a controller, I have preferred to have more direct control rather than rely on the pets. But, now I want to try an Illusion.
-
Ah, this is all excellent news. I've never played an Ill/ controller, but have been looking for something other than the old standard of /rad or /kin to pair it with. I had just about decided on /traps and this thread sealed that. Just to confirm, setting traps does not break S. Invis, does it? Also, do the DEF bonuses from G Invis and and S Invis stack on the caster?
-
Definitely all controller MLTF.
-
This is interesting. Do you have to press the button twice to get it to drop at you when you have no target selected?
-
Yup, and there I was saying, "slot all your attacks for damage." Ran into every single one of those biases, and crushed all their doubts after running with them (pun intended). Actually, I get a kick out of doing what everyone says cannot be done. I do miss the bigotry a bit. Got into some epic forum battles back then. I think one of the big changes between then and now is that so many other games are getting away from the "holy trinity" form of character-building, so people are less tied to that mindset.
-
I remember back in the "good old days" of live, I was nearly the only Grav/Storm player around. And most everyone had biases against it. Nowadays, it's one of the most popular combos.

This makes a LOT of sense. Actually, I kind of thought it was, but I never really checked.
