  1. If you want to be on the control team, be sure to pick up a Hold. There are several available in the Epics.
  2. I agree with the Ill/Storm idea, but realize that /Storm is almost purely damage, with nice debuff and bonus control. Do not add any KB>KD to any of your attacks. Let the KB work for you as mitigation. Slot everything for damage and you should pretty much sail through most content. But, yeah, don't team with it because your teammates will hate you.

    Ice/Nature

Expect to have pleeeeeeeeeeenty of time to enjoy the scenery in missions. Plenty. As in, this is going to be a safe, but slow combo.
  4. If you are quick and have a good Kin handy, you can even stack them for a bit.
  5. Interesting, I've played with most of the patron pets except Coralax and had quite good experiences. After I lock down the field, there's not so much worry about them dying. For me, they usually run out of time before they get killed. They are just a nice little bit of fire and forget help.
  6. Listen, everyone, if you to cheat to win, you still win. Shamefully, of course, but let people play the way they want. Another way to achieve the same result it is just to play at -1. Things die so fast, they won't have time to mezz you.
  7. I have a War Mace/Ninjitsu Scrapper that ended up being WAY better than I expected. I like the nice array of tools from WM, with good AOE, good ST, KD, and Stun, it really allows you to take care of nearly anything you face. And the damage is, yikes. It also balances between cast time and damage, which I like. Though, I think Battle Axe is a good alternative. Ninja seems overtuned to me. It comes with built in stealth and movement. It also has healing and end management that do not rely on a ToHit roll or having enemies nearby. Also, the KB resistance is on an auto power. This is important because if you get detoggled, you are still immune to knockback! This has saved me more than once. It also has a really sweet T9, which lasts three minutes! Plenty of time to manage whatever problem you are having.

    Titan/Rad Build Help

Following. I levels up a TW/Rad ages ago, but I have mothballed it for now. TW is so slow and Rad is so clicky that it interrupts building momentum. I would love to bring it out. Look forward to seeing the comments. Heh, this is exactly why I built mine!
  9. Can we set up a separate thread to discuss/promote this?

    Berzerkers

Not when I'm Tanking. I am (almost) always first to the next group (unless I get lost). Unless someone skips ahead and leaves the team behind. If that happens, I leapfrog them. I figure if they think they can take it, they can take it. If the team, in general, gets ahead of me, I pick up my pace. But, basically, there should never be "wait long enough for the tanker."
  11. I can see that. What about the Regen boost? Is it significant enough to make a difference?
  12. Dark/Savage. The thing is, once you go Feral Charge, it is hard to play anything else. I kind of wish I had got with Fire instead of Dark so I could have a damage toggle while dealing out all that melee damage, but the Dark is a lot of fun and fits the theme well. Honestly, I tend to just go berserk with her and forget to actually control stuff, which can be bad. But, she is so much fun.
  13. Singularity is the clear winner.
  14. Think of them as good skipping powers to fill out your Pools. I always like to have a couple "ugh" powers that are clearly good to skip to make room for Leadership or Fighting or whatever.
  15. Well, there is a lot, but first things first, stop slotting things for mezz duration and start slotting them for damage. Your duration is plenty long already. Same for debuffs, swap those for damage sets. If there are powers you cannot slot damage sets into, look at damage procs to make it do damage (not your defensive powers, of course). Dump the Fighting pool and pick up Leadership. You have good Def, good ToHit Debuffs, and a great heal, you really don't need Tough and Weave, especially if you are going for damage. Dump some of those LoTGs that are barely doing anything for you and slot up Obliteration. Slot up Recharge on Soul Drain. Lastly, look at your sets and your global recharge bonus. Now that we are slotting mostly damage sets, look at the ones that add to your global recharge. Get that up, so those powers come back quicker. Work on all that, and you should be grinding stuff down in no time.
  16. It sort of depends on what you mean by "fast endgame." If you are talking about the real peak speedsters who tear through MLTF in like 7 minutes, then a Controller is not the thing to take at all. Optimal team for those is 5-6 Scrappers, 1 */Cold Corruptor, and 1 or 2 Blasters. If you are talking about just regular steamrolling through Radios or TFs, then something with a lot of fast-cast -Res, -Def, -Regen is going to be your best bet. Team buffs are also nice, but with Incarnates, they can get a little pointless. Primary is less important than secondary, but something that keeps mobs grouped up is best, along with some damage, so like Grav or Fire, maybe Elec, but it's a bit weak on damage. In steamrolling teams, I recommend against Plant, though. It gets most of its damage from Confusion, and a fast team burns down the enemies too quickly for that to have much impact. Though, procced-up Creepers can be pretty hardcore. Also, slot everything for damage, nothing for mezz duration, and look at your damage procs and how best to apply those for maximum smackage. Get that recharge rate up above the 170s, too. And you are going to have to work really hard on End management. I know this sounds a bit down on Controllers, but I say all this as a Controller primary, (Grav/Storm). I run in these steamrollers a lot, and I have been on a few of the peak speedsters run. And, yeah, I see how I am not contributing as much as some. Every now and then, there comes that time when things go really, really south, and the Controller pulls it out by unleashing all their tools at once, then they are happy you are there. Other than that, as long as they are cool that you are along for the ride, then just do the best you can.
  17. Are you familiar with the Storm set? You mention this is your first Corruptor, but have you played in a Defender, Controller, or Mastermind?
  18. Singularity can tank AVs, too. And the damage is better than Earth.
  19. Scrapper. Or possibly Fire/Cold Corruptor.

    Berzerkers

I agree there are a lot of people who play the tanker AT are bad at traditional tanking. I also agree that endgame content/builds are pretty EZ and rarely need a decent tanker, or a decent anything. It's just button mash as fast as you can to win. However, in lower-level content, competent playing is more important. Last night I was rolling with my new L33 Rad/Dark with a bunch of other 30-ish teammates. In that case, especially where many people will be under-enhanced, it makes a difference. But, really, if someone wants to be a scrapper and abandon any responsibility or expectations, why not just play a scrapper?
  21. Hey Tanks, haven't been on a TT in a while. I'm liking this talk about doing an all-tank Hami. Is that tonight? If, so, I will bring my F3. If not, my budding Rad/Dark (L33). What shard are we on?
  22. Oh crud, I keep forgetting stats can go negative.
  23. Isn't this unfair on characters that spend some power on -Res debuffs?
  24. I meant, don't most of them have TP resist?
  25. You can reliably get WH to TP a purple boss?
