As someone that has played EATs since inception, Warshades work significantly better in my opinion using multiple forms than they do human only. It's not to say they can't be human only, they can't be, I've tried it before, they are just better triform. Stealth into a mob, pop Eclipse, sunless mire, dwarf mire, Nova, fly slightly up while attacking down to maximize your cone, and positioning of the AoE that has slight knockback, effectively turning it to knockdown. Then drop to human form styigan circle heal yourself and extract a little nictus buddy. Repeat. Edit: To give you a little perspective playing human form only, you'll live and die on mob density. You will stealth/superspeed into mobs using ink aspect/orbiting death, with fluff balls in tail, popping sunless mire/quasar and then unchain essence. While using stygian circle to refill health/endurance. You'll do more damage triform. Either way you go you need to build in mez protection as Kheldians get screwed in mez protection (although dwarf form is nice as a breakfree and buildup via dwarf mire). Good luck.

You can also go to the beta server insta 50, slot yourself out for free and try each power to see if there's ones that fit your play style and ones that don't, and use it to help you get an understanding of what each power does, what it looks like, and whether you see yourself using that for your own build. But doing the same for any set you're confused about, allows you to understand how things work when you team with others.

Make alternative IO sets to Luck of the Gambler
SeraphimKensai replied to nyttyn's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I am all for build diversity. Personally I'm a min/maxer and like making builds. That said, I usually don't need to prioritize global recharge too much unless I'm on a Dominator ( I make all my Dominators Permadoms, it's just what I've done since IO's first came out to help my 1st villain Ravenscar a Grav/Fire Domi). Hasten used to be a must have 6 slot power, as back in the day 6 slotting with recharge SO's would be enough to go perma-hasten. Then it became a 3 slotter after ED, and a 2 slotter after EB's. So with all the game changes we've inadvertently freed up 4 slots from Hasten. That said with IO bonuses it's not uncommon to hit several +5%, +6.25%, +7.5%, or even +10% bonuses. But each are limited by the rule of five of the same. The issue with the global 7.5% 1 IO bonus, is that it is limited to a defense IO, so it shows bias towards defense builds which can slot the IO in a multitude of powers. This forces non defense based characters who want to slot that IO for it's benefit to chase defense pool based powers: Combat Jumping, Hover, Afterburner, Stealth, Grant Invis, Invis, Weave, Manuvers, Vengeance. So non defense based characters are essentially drawn to Leaping, Flight, Concealment, Leadership, and Fighting. It reduces build variety as some might otherwise be drawn to another pool like medicine, presence, teleport, etc. So wouldn't it be practical in effort to reduce bias to have a +7.5% recharge bonus IO be available in another category as well. I would suggest if that were to be the case though to avoid running/jumping to avoid the power creep of someone just slotting them all in the prestige sprints. And for those that don't know, yes a 7.5% recharge bonus in say a sleep set, wouldn't allow you to slot 2 in sleeps, and 5 in defense to get 7*7.5%, you're still limited by the rule of five. Sorry for the long post. -
Please, one Nemesis invasion at once
SeraphimKensai replied to thunderforce's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The event is definitely kind of weird. Here I was soloing DE monsters up at monster island in PI and nemesis' army is spawning in on me. I'm like alright a challenge mode for when this Quarry I'm soloing gets vengeance inadvertently cast on it. -
Poison Guide - a guide to the most deadly poisons
SeraphimKensai replied to Frosticus's topic in Guides
I made a poison/rad the other day after I pvped against a poison/fire. I was surprised it was that effective. On Everlasting the other night. -
I want hockey skates now as an option for dual blades. So I can create Happy Gilmore.

In game at the P2W vendor buy the power analyzer. You can use it on an AV and view their resistances and every other stat about them.

This might not be a popular opinion but for me anyways, CoH attracted me based on the concept of being a superhero, the people I met in the game are what kept me around. I started playing MMO's actually with SWG back in about November of 2003, I was living in South Korea at the time, and moved back to the US in January. I played a lot of SWG at the time, but I had received a beta invite to try a new MMO named City of Heroes. During Beta I was blown away at how different the game felt to SWG, but SWG was still my main game, I mean I had my own outpost village on Naboo and had mastered 23 of the 24 classes. All trying to unlock that force sensitive character slot to be a Jedi. I played both CoH launched in the spring end of April if I remember right, and I mostly solo'd and struggled on an i0 Elec/Elec blaster. Playing both games was working out alright, but I wasn't fully invested into CoH, as I was also working full time and then some, plus SWG and a social life. But it all changede when the Jedi Trials Patch came out, and one of my neighbors started the game I recruited them to and did the trial to become a Jedi. Here they are waving their light saber around after about a week of playing, and I've been there for about 9 months still not having finished collecting holos to unlock that force sensitive character slot, and he became a Jedi without any effort. I felt like Vegeta struggling to become a Super Saiyan only to see Trunks and Goten do it while goofing off. It didn't sit well with me, and I quit SWG and rededicated my time and effort into CoH. I ran a Sister Psyche TF back when she was in Aurora's body, met a couple of people in an SG, got recruited, applied, and joined. Got placed on a team within the SG, and spent years in the game because of the people. The content instead while extensive is trivial at best. It's the people that make this game a home.

As a former hockey player, I endorse this request x10. Also as a Titan Weapon option, because let's face it hockey players are Titans.

I have a lvl 50 bio/staff tank basically you can adjust your forms and never run out of endurance, or do more damage, or be more resilient. You get 1 of each at the same time, and their effects aren't mutually exclusive so it works really well.
-
I just rolled a spines/bio that I'm still slotting out, but looking at it's build I made it should have a ton of survivability and AoE damage. I like Rad Melee and if I didn't roll spines I would of looked at that. I don't really care much for fire melee. Ice is better than fire solely for ice patch.

Honestly doing something like this would create an interesting influence sink for the economy, while allowing YOU to be the BIG WINNER, as we know you are the luckiest person in the world. Honestly even RP'ers might want to get glammed up and head over to the luxurious Golden Giza for a night of great fun, just remember what happens in St. Martial stays in St. Martial. Let it ride for your chance to win big, and live the high life.

How would they know you're not a mutant hunting sentinel?

seem to remember a 12 min Positron one task force

I haven't really used a stopwatch, but I fly through on my brutes/stalkers pretty quickly solo. As there's no defeat all's. -

Help me deal with Quantums, please!
SeraphimKensai replied to Wolfboy1's topic in Peacebringer & Warshade
Take superspeed plus use a stealth io, your now invis. Targeting macros help. Also the lvl 18 melee attacks that PB/WS get are great at getting rid of quantum's. -
I have a fully IO'd SS/SD Brute and honestly it was end heavy until built, but even built the damage seems subpar compared to other potential combinations. Also the -defense on rage crash really hurts defense based characters like shield more so than resistance based characters.

Let's fix up the Golden Giza, and let players wager their influence and reward merits for the chance to win more playing slots, poker, blackjack, roulette, etc.

Discussion: Disabling XP No Longer Increases Influence
SeraphimKensai replied to Jimmy's topic in General Discussion
That's why I suggested seeding the market via evil socialist practices. It will keep things from moving to my old 6.2 billion influence PvP builds. Also restricting influence income rates, inversely gives real money traders potentially more customers as time=money. -
Discussion: Disabling XP No Longer Increases Influence
SeraphimKensai replied to Jimmy's topic in General Discussion
Honestly to keep the economy balanced for farmers and non farmers would be to socialize the market and seeding enhancements at fixed rates as opposed to letting big business and greedy hedge fund brokers corner the market as opposed to punishing the people stuck working overtime to try to make ends meet. -
The best farmer money can buy is a rad/fire/mu brute.

Brute Elec/Rad Good FARM/Solo? L4 Advice, Please :)
SeraphimKensai replied to jester15x's topic in Brute
Rad can get some pretty decent resistance numbers, its a little tougher than some sets to defense softcap but definitely doable. Rad has some great layered mitigation. But where it really shines are Rad Therapy and Ground Zero which can both be 6 slotted with various damage procs to each have a 90% chance to fire, so you show up with a couple of mini nukes to help clear mobs quicker. -
6 slot Ground Zero with damage procs, you can make it a mini-nuke with a 90% proc chance assuming you don't slot it for recharge.

I have multiple Incarnate/Io'ed Sentinels at this point: Rad/Rad, Elec/Fire, Water/Bio, and most recently an AR/Regen. Like the poster above I have only skimmed through some of the previous posts. I enjoy the AT quite a bit given the 4 Incarnate Sentinels I have. That said I do agree that the AT does need some attention. Ideas to help Sentinels: 1.) Standardized Damage Modifiers for Ranged/Melee at 1.0 (this would be a slight improvement in damage overall). 2.) Rework the Sentinel Opportunity. Rather then tie it to the tier 1 & 2 attacks to trigger on 1 target, how about two click powers like how Dominators pop domination, One is a 90 second pbaoe Damage/ToHit Buff for the Sentinel and nearby teammates/leaguemates. The second is a 90 second pbaoe Defense/Resistance buff for the Sentinel and nearby teammates/leaguemates. That way the inherent is more useful for the Sentinel/teams as the buff would last longer. Obviously the numbers would have to be balanced/tuned, and then the increase to the Sentinel damage modifiers would give Sentinels a slight improvement on damage, to help tune them.
