I am running eradication in mine for set bonuses

Resistance but I have it IO tot he gills so my s/l without DA is 47% 43% melee capped s/l resistance then you get the =tohit debuff from your aura and -def and +recharge so it kind of stacks up nicely

I did Katana/Rad and it works real while together

Katana/Rad are great together I enjoy it more than Katana/WP which is also rock solid. DB/EA pair up great dm/sd as mentioned there are a lot of great pairings depending on what you want out of the build

One can dream I would love that type of update to Fire Breath -
I don;t take travel powers I rely on sprint always on and combat jumping or hover and for in between missions ninja run/athletic, steam jump ad temp travel powers like packs

I don't think FE is holding Fire Melee back from being fixed. Fire Armor on scrappers is trash and is probably the worse armor set we have available to scrappers. Shield is superior and it buffs fire melee really while so FE is irrelevant imo to any conversation on fixing fire melee. My first wish for fire melee is Fire Breath to be usable just because of how cool it is but the cone is so narrow and animation time so long for so little results. This from a person who tried to make it worked because he use to be able to do the old triangle on the original shadow maul and hit three targets. -
As a scrapper Mez protection is something you just should no worry about; I have only seen it matter with Ghost Widow on the STF and those buff does not solve ghost widow. Damage, recharge, defense , HP, regen and resistance are things you chase as a scrapper depending on your build.

I like to reply about fire to understand I played a lot of fire attack on live my main became my fire/shield I also got a fire/reg to 35 and before incarnates when we first started the pylon test I was top 10 with fire shield; I currently have a fire/rad retired for katana/rad like that paring better but now working on fire/wp. Here is the thing I learned palying all that fire attack and leveling. Breath of fire is terrible so it is worthless and does not help with aoe I tried to make it work maneuvering my toon to maximize the cone yep better off taking scorch. The other thing I learned with the dots you need to switch targets a lot to leverage the dots and speed up taking out groups while you cycle in fire circle sword. The only thing i can come up with to help fire is Fix Fire Breath to make it's aoe better and reduced the dots on the attacks for scorch and incinerate and give them the midnight grasp treatment a base damage with some extra dot damage. -
Yep my dm/shield use athletic run, jump pack and jet packs because of my super tight build

I put both in my build shadow maul and tof so when in groups and we are running tons of mobs I can cycle those two aoe attacks it been nice on hami raids

I always run in between builds since I tank sometimes with a group as a scrapper so I build extra survival ability into my builds here is what i am running a little different than Murcielago. One with the shield is the most skip able ; I [personally just use it at level 49 to drop one of my global defense IO's

Skipping grant cover is a mistake on shield it is roughly 25% of your Defensive debuff resistance

Empathy was the red head step child all the way back when I started playing in I2 early. I would agree anout early levels where it can shine before the powers selection start to whittle away at it's usefulness. Yet the invention system still pales in comparsion to pre ed numbers and no pentalty. 6 slotted hasten yea perma hasten was a breeze, tanks and scrappers running perma unstopable, perma elude; regen scrappers tanking hami because IH was a toggle and the regen % where through the roof; no aoe caps when farming was dumpster diving, portal footstomp farming. Empathy has been the red headed step child way before IO's.

I just don't like the no crit damage mechanics it just does not feel scrapper like something about criting even an over kill crit is just so satisfying. I will say I am very bias on crits but I been playing scappers since i2 and I guess it is just in my scrapper dna about crits

Go Dark Armor and only turn one aura on there you go original Dark Armor scrapper could only toggle on one aura until I3 yea it was dumb when everyone else could toggle on multiple there you go super old school that is also when cof was a mag 3

I was working on testing it unslotted on my level 50 it looks like the base damage will be close to soul drain in total but over 5 tics Shadow maul is still the better power but the question is what do I drop to fit it in to the build (I still have some more testing to perform) this was just what I could squeeze in this morning -
I played DM for so long I was able to leverage the older Shadow Maul when you could get three in the triangle but I am old school i2 guy that played dm on several toons over the years

Ok i loved the previous change to Shadow Maul but TOF is a damage power do we have numbers yet Now a melee targeted AoE with a 10 target cap (16 for Tankers) Now deals negative energy damage over time Fear duration reduced by roughly 50% Cast time increased from 1.17s to 1.97s Only the main target will be affected by the Fear and ToHit debuff Now accepts Targeted AoE Damage sets

Have you thought of spines since you get two ranged attacks in throw spines and impale or claws you have focus and shock wave
