Currently playing around with 2 builds. I was of course thinking FF myself but I really do like Trick Arrow all around good mix. In both builds Endurance is covered with all the bonuses. My current rule of thumb ( that was given to me by another poster LONG AGO ) is recovery has to be 2 points higher then usage. I haven't seen anything bad about Time either.. It has been pretty much stated for a Mastermind Time and Traps are pretty much the 2 goto Secondary especially for Defense cap. -
Following comments not directed at you but you mentioned it and I figured I would comment on the same thoughts Proc building on a full team, Yea I get it. You killed the mobs X amount faster.. Maybe you finishing off an ITF 10 to 15 minutes faster. My simple question is, is it such a BIG DEAL ( Maybe it is for some players. Maybe they only have a limited time to play and every minute counts ) to finish something that much faster ? I think you said it best ( and you are not the only one ) that certain Arch Types with certain powers will benefit much more from Procing then other builds. For me after messing around with this.. I can say this type of build can benefit from Procing. Petless Whip Traps mastermind.. Just look at the Mu Mastery powers. Again I can see the value in certain powers. Thunderstrike 214 vs 393 Plus if Force Feedback goes off you get the following benefits; Triage Beacon goes from 71 to 54 seconds recharge. Burnout goes from 716 to 527 Acid Mortar goes from 35 to 26 Poison Traps goes from 31 to 24 Thunderstrike is on a 12 second recharge. I do not know how Force Feedback +recharge (FFB+) works on attack powers like this. 2 PPM does that mean I will need to wait 60 seconds on Thunderstrike for FFB+ to reset ? I could put it in Trip Mine and loose some DPS as well. That is a 7 second recharge but will go down to 5 if FFB+ tics. Post the build.. Not saying it is not true. I just don't want to work with MIDS or doing searches for Proc builds on the forums to prove your point. I did some slight messing around with a few powers and the results were not impressive.. The Proc power did a few more points of damage but recharge was 4 seconds longer.. defense set loss.. ETC.. I get it is one power out of a full build.. But having a build and then doing an alternate set to look at numbers takes seconds in MIDs to review..

This is going to be your road block.. Endurance.. I Power level all my Petless and semi petless ( last pet only ) mastermind builds. I tried doing it the old fashion way but I got to 28 and just couldn't handle the frustration of it. Incarnates is what balances it out. This is my Merc Pain I am still working on.. It was Contra Game Theme.. Bill Rizer and Lance Bean was the Pet.. Edited because I had unleash potential on so it inflated numbers.. Don't like posting a build like that as it appears false. Also I think Unleash Potential has changed.. So the MIDs numbers are incorrect.. If you could also get Smash and Lethal maxed along with range that would be good as well. As you can see endurance is an issue. 1.48 use over 2.58 recovery.. Recovery should be 3 points over use.. So it should be 1.48 over 3.48 at a minimum. The unique IOs get you some added endurance but it is not added in the MIDS numbers.. But still not close to 3.48... You need World of Pain Perma.. If you could do it without hasten that would be good as well this way WOP could be auto.. But I cannot figure it out ATM.. Ideally you would want Range/Melee or Smash /Lethal with S/L resistance cap and it would be kick good. I can do this on trick arrow and they are fun builds.. Ignoring the title to some degree, any primary and secondary that can get you an effective defense cap based on the Arch Type is going to be strong. The highest setting in the game is 8/4 You have a 1 to 8 = equivalent number of players on the team 1 to 4 = how much higher level the mobs are compared to you by levels. So 4 would equal 54. 3/8 is usually the sweet spot, meaning you can kill the mobs fast enough to be effective. 4/8 might be a bit slower. We are talking Time VS Exp and Money gained. So Range cap Arch Type with maybe smash and lethal resistance capped is great. An Arch Type with all its defenses capped is great. Even a Ranged Arch Type can obtain this with Super Reflexes, Ninjutsu, Traps. Then add incarnates on top of this.. That is just like extra sprinkles and whip cream.. My Signature has links about the game mechanics. Game mechanics is the KEY ! You need Mids Reborn to help you build out a character and to see these numbers and give you ideas on how to create them. The good thing here is the wheel has been invented. Here is a good example of this. Several People posted their own iterations of the build in the thread. Then SmalltalkJava made some improved on the build. There is a thread on Kin DP Corruptors and Darkir improved on that build. The only thing you need to understand game mechanics to know what a good build is.. Because people do post bad builds and talk as if they are magic sometimes. Or you see some PROC build but it is all theory on the damage output but wouldn't survive an attack back. Its like going out for business vs going out of business. Here is a perfect example you can see how they talk about the attack chain, I could give 2 sh!ts about the attack chain. For me that is becoming too involved.. My simple thoughts are I will click whichever power is up based on the mobs I have in front of me. AOE, CONE or single target. But I also understand the validity to it as well. But that is my limit where I start hearing Blah, Blah, Blah...

Any Sentinel with Super Reflex will give you Defense cap. A Range cap hoverblaster works. You will be able to run 8/3 for sure.

I like the build. But its a bit endurance heavy with 2.6/1.67 Though the procs might bring him close to 3.67 So any incarnate with some endurance redux would benefit him and get him to what is needed. But it will kick ass on 8/3 setting without a doubt hoverblasting.

I only see a proc build working in a group setting. Mobs attack back, so there is no Alpha strike and I killed them all, thus I don't get hit back. I can't see or I have not seen a build that can handle a 8/4 or 8/3 setting that is proc'ed out. Mind you again I can understand if you are Proc out one power and the Primary and Secondary are set up well to be able to get Range, Smash, Lethal and maybe max out Smash and lethal Resistance. But those Primary's and Secondary's are few and far between if even possible. I know Defense cap and resistance cap. I know you just can't pick any powers in a build to be able to achieve this. I know sometimes you have to slot out powers like Kick to get Melee, S/L or Range defense cap on a Blaster. It's a power I will hardly never use but it's 4 to 6 slotted for a set bonus. The only way I could see this being maybe an issue. You can slot Range Defense cap. Have some decent S/L resistance. Have a Range Nuke on a very good recharge. Again I can think of some Over powered concepts with this and dual boxing. I can see a Kin maybe involved. But I cannot see someone proc'ed on a several powers and soloing 8/3.. Again when the Proc crazy started a few players posted some theoretical proc builds with the potential numbers.. Players were in AWE.. discussed how they were gonna start creating the build, ETC.. I look at the build and see no defenses.. I post and ask in sheepish way not to be confrontive because I even I know I can be sometimes.. Nonetheless the player admits/concedes or clears up any misunderstanding that you would have to Eat Purple inspirations before the nuke for defenses.. End result It was only good every time the Nuke was up and then you better hope you have players that can offer you defense buffs because there are only so many purple inspirations you can make during a mission. Let us not even discuss Incarnate and some harder TF and AV fights.. I know the OP mentioned even KB > KD is going to be looked at. I honestly do not see that at all. It has ZERO effect on the damage a power does. That sounds like more of a knee jerk reaction on either side. I would love to see what the Devs are talking about in all honesty.

You could do this if they added more power pools and almost made tertiary set with just a large set of powers in them and just like other powers they increase in ability as you level so there is no level requirement for them. With this they would have to make power customizations as well. EG Healing Drone is the name.. But it can look like a Tech item, A magical items, an elemental item, a small robot, small fairy, But you are looking for just one character to branch out. The problem will be that you are still Baked into your Arch Type. Even if you had all Fire Tank powers you still wouldn't get the Tank inherit benefits. Taunt aura, hit points.. ETC.. Also they would probably have to stick to builds system they have now. Which means you would need IO sets to make up the defenses and resistance numbers you need. In many ways this is what Sentinels I believe where suppose to be like the tanker blaster ( Tankmage )

This what I am running There are definitely changes that can be made. You can take out Adrenal Booster and put in Blinding Powder and remove one slot from Toxic Dart and 3 slot it. Its a fun build because of defense cap, so I am running 8/4 or 8/3. 8/3 is always a bit faster. My usual opener. Kuji-In Toh for the Boost to regen and recovery. TP via speed of sound. Hail of Bullets. Smoke Flash Lotus Drop Corrosive Vial Then mix up the attacks based on what is still alive. Some cones if I can pick off more than one. If one or two purple cons still alive I move onto next group if close because they will chase me down. Unfortunately I can't work Fold Space into the build. But I might respec back into it as even I didn't look well at my old build vs the new build.. -
The 2nd Beast Mastery upgrade casting range is shorter than the first upgrade by almost half the distance

Basically looking to hide the salvage storage in walls and put computer display in front of it but be able to access the storage. Currently different variations I have tried failed. I can hide the storage but I can't click through the item in front of it. Don't know if it can be on the outside of the base or do I need to create a wall. I have no issue posting pics or videos.. I just respeced out of it but can jump on test and redo the old build. I've been trying to line this up for a while with no luck. I wouldn't mind seeing some screen shots myself to see what I might be doing wrong.. -
No still broken.. Only gives the buff nothing else.. even the Proc doesn't work.. That will be a game changer when it is fixed..

Been using Cross Punch and it is a miracle if I hit more than 2 targets. I've playing and looking at it for some months now it just is not hitting many targets.. Maybe the cone is too narrow ? I almost have to walk backwards a few steps to try line up the mobs to get them in the cone. But again it pretty much 2 max.. Getting 3 is like a "Did you see that" moment. But it seems like it can hit up to 5, which I find IMPOSSIBLE.. Even on gray con mobs that don't run this isn't happening..

This is what I am running ATM.. I am feeling there is room for improvement but ATM I am just not seeing it. My head isn't wrapped around the build. But I am doing 8/3 on it.. Oil Slick I wish the recharge on Oil Slick would be a bit faster. Just slotting Damage and Recharge specific IO only shaves a few seconds off Oil Slick so not gain. I would have to look to add more recharge IO sets bonuses and at the same time try to keep the defenses up. Fortify Pack I also wish Fortify Pack Recharge were a bit faster as it is the only pet heal and it is noticeable when activated. I try to hold off on Fortify to sort of have it going from the middle of the fight of one group to the start of another group. Power Boost does what it says it does. Seems very useful.
