Outside of Rad's damage aura, do you put procs into PBAOE toggles

Thinking of building out a non-granite stone dude... it's still an end hog with Cardiac, but yeah.

I happen to like 4-slotting Scirocco's Dervish in damage toggles (acc/dmg, dmg/end, acc/dmg/end and proc).  Unlike most of the other PBAOE sets, you don't have to slot recharge that's wasted and you get decent bonuses.

Posted

I don't add procs to toggles. I can't think of an example where the math would have worked in my favor. My builds will either opt for a set bonus or straight boost (possibly a HamiO) instead of hoping for a proc to fire.

Often the slot itself can be better invested in an attack, if the desire is to see the proc at work. YMMV.

I am particularly fond of buf fand debuff procs in toggles.  Willpower's RttC takes a Dark Watcher's Despair recharge slow.  Invulnerability's Invincibility likewise gets Chance for Buildup.

Very interested in how the second one works.

Get a lot of enemies around you and the Chance for Buildup goes off a lot, sometimes even doubling up.

Chance to proc (on you) once for each target affected by the toggle, every slightly more than 10 seconds, per standard PPM math, with a 10s "recharge" time.

Haven't tried it on Homecoming but did do it on live. Spines/Dark with 8 procs spread over 3 powers. Quills, Death Shroud and Cloak of Fear. It could have fit 10 procs but wanted the +E/N def set bonus from Eradication.

It was pretty good, an uptick in overall dps. It was fun seeing a flurry of proc damage every 10 seconds. Each target within range averaged about 2 proc hits whenever they triggered. If toggles are all active when entering a mission, all proc timing zero, and begin triggering at the exact same time (and every 10 seconds after).

Looking at Quills... 15s recharge, 0.924 cast, 0.52 e/s cost. Can it be proc'd up, cast, shutoff while the next power animates, then reactivated again with no 10s proc cooldown? Wondering if it can be constantly used like a small proc bomb.

Proc-Bomb Ground Zero.  Tried this on my scrapper after a short thread here.  Haven't looked back since.  90% fire rate even if you manage to enhance the ba-jeebus out of it's recharge. (It doesn't taper off until after ~105% enhanced recharge, iirc).

I was thinking this would pair very good with Super Strength since Rage isn't a very good mule for the proc.

It works good in tactics in my SR/SS - But it means having to take leadership and I hate taking leadership.
