Anyone have items that could have been included in Issue 28, Page 2 that they feel should be in Page 3?


Examples:

Ouroboros > Mercy (There is access to Atlas Park but not Mercy Island)

Alternate animation for xyz

 

Not necessarily:

ACME gadgets Power Sets complete with "Bop!" "Bam!" "Biff!"

Whips

Clown MMs

No legs “hover disk” leg options.  One of the freaks has this from a soecial event or newer mission.  Missing legs but has a waist with jets coming out the bottom.  Seriously cool for tech theme/robot/freakstahs

  • MM Primaries.  MM's have the fewest primary sets of any AT by leaps and bounds. Imagine if Blasters had only 7 primaries, or if Scrappers had only 7 primaries,, or Tankers.  A little love feels overdue. But if new MM primaries are deemed "not workable", and if there is no appetite to provide full pet customization... maybe some reskins?
    • Thugs:  vanilla option, or Family style suited gangsters.
    • Mercs:  vanilla option, or Knives of Artimis style special ops
    • Ninjas:  vanilla option, or Tsoo style ninjas
    • Robots: vanilla option, or something Cylon inspired. Always loved the look of the Centurions in the 2004 reboot with guns/claw hands.
    • Beasts:  vanilla option, or perhaps Shadow Hounds / Spirit Panthers, a la Night Ward?  something in that style.
    • Demons:  Drawing a blank on this one, to be honest.  Maybe something Talons of Vengeance inspired?
    • Necromancy:  vanilla option, or perhaps fresher corpses / resident evil twist?

Now gen up all the new animations you'll need for every single 'kick' power in the game that no longer work right because the character doesn't have legs to kick with.

I know this will sound dumb, and it is dumb, but I want Skull Boyfriends to be around.  We have Skull Girlfriends (NPC non-targetable non-combatants)  out and about and in missions, but no boyfriends.  We have male Night Widows and Fortunatas among the female spiders.  If we are going to do gender equity, male non-combatant non-targetable NPCs should be able to have the title of boyfriend too.

 

A Death Doll should be able to get a date.  Bonus points for dialog complaining about their relationships.  (Man, I don't know, Emily, or Mistress Bonecraker, is just so cold and distant lately.)

 

Other wish, if I put an aura on display on combat only, can that not take effect if I'm using an aura?  I'm using Incendiary Aura and it keeps my fireworks aura running too.  I would prefer it only happens with true attack powers and not auras.  Auras should not trigger other Auras.

Oh lord, where to start. I'll just post the MM stuff that I'm still grumpy about:

 

1) Finally rework Thugs, Demons and Beast Mastery to bring them in line with the other updated MM primaries (the upgrade powers doing SOMETHING, not just being a 1-slot end reducer power), fix Beast Mastery so it's not the absolute bottom-tier primary with so many bugs. When the first pass for the other sets went live, the others were said to be worked on "soon". That was almost 3 years and 4 major updates ago, and there's been no word since.

 

2) Fix MM Mercenaries so they're not stuck with double-time animations on all their summons and upgrade powers. They're supposed to be 2 seconds each. They've been stuck at 4s for years. I bug-reported it years ago and was talking to one of the devs about it, but it's never been fixed.

 

3) For the love of all things spandex, a new MM primary. Please. Pretty please? It's the only AT in the game that hasn't gotten a new primary in 14 years.

 

4) Come up with some way to not penalize the MM primaries that don't have a "spare" pet power. Right now Mercenaries, Beast Mastery, Robotics, and Ninjas all struggle to slot the aura IOs while still maintaining full acc/dmg/end on the pets. 6 slots out of 18 max is a heavy price to pay to make the minions slightly more durable. Ideally I'd love to see the upgrade powers just able to slot the pet sets, even if they do nothing, purely for being able to just throw the aura powers in there, as well as make the 18th level powers on Thugs, Necro and Demons more than just a mule for the aura powers.

 

5) Pet customization. If nothing else, allow us to recolor things. This has been something I and every other MM player has wanted for aaaaaaages. Pretty please?

For me, the only thing I would really hope for and care about is Freakshow costume parts. Not just the arm variations (probably would need to pin to the Robot Arms torsos) but also the Excelsior injectors, and Stunner arms and backpack options. 

 

It's a very selfish ask, but then again I do see a lot of Freakshow-related characters on Everlasting so maybe there is a market besides just me.

Well, I don't know how feasible some of these are but I'll try to keep it within what I think the devs might be able to do:

 

Powers:

  • Water and/or Kinetic Assault: I think this could be done with existing assets and some retextures. My big concern is actually that they'd be similar to one another that one would kind of exclude the other.
  • Adjustments to Masterminds to improve viability in high end gameplay.
  • Maybe another pass over Sentinels because Opportunity really doesn't feel that helpful in many situations. But this is my personal outlook and others might be able to say otherwise.
  • Arsenal Mastery APP added to Stalkers, Scrappers, Tanks, and Brutes.
    • Bonus idea: ranged attacks for Stalkers in AM would be with dual pistols, scrappers use Assault Rifle, and Brutes and tanks use shotguns.

Prismatic Aether rewards:

  • Embiggen! The opposite of the mini-mode, makes your character 50% or even 100% bigger than possible in the character creator.

Incarnate system:

  • New Judgements, Interfaces, and/or lore pet options. The former two could use some things that fill in missing damage types, also psionic interface's DoT is pretty weak, if I recall, as a penalty for being psionic.
    • Judgement ideas could include: Photonic Judgement (call down a beam of light for energy damage. Kill sat effect. basically. Also Septic Judgement for toxic and Psionic Judgement)
  • Something to do with loose incarnate threads and shards besides inspirations. Maybe we could cash them in for some prismatic aether particles or something?

Costumes:

  • Hoodie sweater top with shoulder options for it being down or using hood options to give it a hood. Also having open, closed, and pull-over variants.
  • Varsity Letterman Jacket
  • Leather loafer footwear, both clean and buckled variety.
  • Skirts and kilts with monstrous legs

Enemies:

  • Expand on the level range of Legacy Chain so villains don't have to keep fighting CoT for high level magic origin foes.
  • 'Human' boss for Skyraiders: just gonna plug this old idea

Mission Architect:

  • Rogue Paragon Police added to the critter list
  • Adjustments to EXP/rewards distribution of custom critter powers.
  • EAT/VEAT powers added

Player bases:

  • Sand and snow floor tiles and mounds
  • Police vehicles

  • Revamp Synapse, Citadel, Manticore and Numina TFs to make them less grindy. Do the same for villain TFs. In fact, do villain-side first, as that side could use more love. 
  • Make +5, +6, +7 enemies spawn. Give them scaling resistances and have them hit like a truck. 
  • Implement more tower defense missions where a team has to defend an area (see the last Dap-Dap mission). Characters have lots of ground control type powers (traps, ice patch, trip mines, quicksand) and few opportunities to use them. Might be nice to see controllers/dominators to get more of the spotlight in some situations. 
  • Smarter enemies (Blackwing is a nice step). Enemies that have some taunt resistance or peel back taunt. Enemies which will step back and always attack at range or unleash AoEs. Enemies which lower mez resistance or stack mez attacks that can override protection. Many more enemies that can stack +tohit, +damage and can apply -recharge and -healing. 
  • Dresses and more skirt options for female characters. I’ve always wanted to make a super-powered baker but all the skirt options look too flashy. 
  • An aristocrat’s jacket, ruffled shirt and a cravatte for all body types. Would love to create a 17th century nobleman, swashbuckler or vampire.

This.  Also please move the Black Helicopter in Mercy from Fort Cerberus to over closer to Dollface and Dresslock, maybe put it on the empty pad that's there close by.

Kinetic melee buffs!

 

I still don’t understand how Fire melee, BA and even EM got buffs before KM.

 

Pylon & Trapdoor Test data (thanks @Ston) shows it has the worst performance in both single target and AoE damage. (This excludes stalkers).

 

Makes me wonder if there are some technical challenges which make it difficult to effectively buff the set.

No transparency options for ALL stealth powers. And especially for stuff like FADE. i love dark affinity, but every time i'm teamed with a dark controller i want to scream and run away. i don't, if i'm on a task force, but it's torture until the end each time he casts it

  • Make Mastermind minion and lieutenant henchmen equal level to the Mastermind PC.
  • Bring on the Aprocalypse.
  • Buff Kinetic Melee.
  • Port Ninjitsu to the Brute AT.
  • I very much doubt that this one will happen, but Gadgetry power pool please.  I want my Jet Pack, (and no, temporary power ones don't count).
  • I very much doubt that this one will happen with Homecoming's lack of 3D artists and animators, but more hoodie options please.

While I personally despise sniping at other people's wishes, I feel compelled to say you technically already have Jet Pack as it was being designed with Fly.

 

When HC revamped travel powers and made Afterburner a Fly Boost effect, it was a direct port from how Gadgetry operated in the i24 code. It didn't animate an actual jetpack on your character, either 😕

 

That said, if they did something somehow different with Jet Pack and gave us Gadgetry's crown jewel: a click absorb any AT or power combo could use...

 

That would be something else.
