graeberguinn Posted yesterday at 04:12 AM Posted yesterday at 04:12 AM As title states let's vent about mobs we hate the most in game. The ones who annoy you hard AF. The ones who are the bane of your existence. The yang to your yin. For me: Malta Sappers Maybe on the right toon with the right build, ok. But hot diggity dog if they get 1 up on you you'll have 1-2 sec before you're whiffing from -end loss, completely drained and praying for blue candies to suck down or to regain just enough +end to use a blue bar filler upper power. I hate those guys. What say you all? Least favorite worst mob in game for you? 3 1
TheMoneyMaker Posted yesterday at 07:43 AM Posted yesterday at 07:43 AM Definitely Sappers COH Music: Origins & Archtypes, Heroes & Villains, Croatoa, Nemesis
Maagic Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM For lower level characters, I struggle with Vahz. Mid level, Devouring Earth mushrooms that put me to sleep. High level, Sappers and Knives give me trouble.
KaizenSoze Posted yesterday at 11:25 AM Posted yesterday at 11:25 AM Low level: Snakes. same reason as Vazh. Lots of toxic damage and they hit hard too. Night Pixie on Excelsior Introduction to Arachnos Widows - Night/Blood/Fortunata
Icono04 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Syndicate Sword Adepts. At the level you encounter them on goldside, their defense debuff is a major problem.
tidge Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago For me it's probably Carnie Illusionists. I tend to get frustrated more by critters that run away (Warwolves, et al.) or become otherwise unhittable. 5
Ukase Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Any NPC that phases are the most annoying to me. Master Illusionists..and that darn phantasm decoy which doesn't phase, but can't kill it. 3 2
Billbailey96 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Sky raider porters and Tsoo Sorcerers, basically anyone who can teleport away and make fighting them turn into an annoying scavenger hunt. Especially on kill 'em all missions. 2
Skyhawke Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Any that put me in a detention bubble. I rarely notice until nobody's hitting anybody and then I'm just annoyed for several seconds. 1 Sky-Hawke: Rad/WP Brute Alts galore. So...soooo many alts. Originally Pinnacle Server, then Indomitable and now Excelsior

biostem Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I can handle sappers. It's those phasing enemies, like carnie illusionists, or ones that can taunt/confuse you, that really ruffle my feathers, (but at least a break free can help with the confusion)! 3

electric_emu Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Tsoo Sorcs are the absolute worst. They run away only to come back, delete your to-hit, and heal their friends. And since they're LTs they're harder to drop quickly than, say, Sappers. I also hate the DE summons. I always struggle to target them when surrounded, then have to go dig up the macro for the 857th time. 1
JKCarrier Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Sappers are the worst, especially teamed up with Gunslingers. "Surprise! You're frozen stiff AND completely drained!" 1 --- 64453 - This Was Your Life? - An AE arc that lets you relive your hero's greatest triumphs! (Er, there may still be some bugs in the system...)
Aracknight Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Family bosses with Singularity. Eff those guys right in their effing ears. 1 1 1
Mopery Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago In Cimerora, Immunes Surgeons. They like to stand waaay back with their long range heals, making you wonder where all that damage you just did went. Those times you saw no footprints, I had Fly toggled on.
Go0gleplex Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Yeah...I gotta go with Sappers too as the most annoying. Especially if I'm running an End hog toon. Pretty much have mobs I treat as primary drop-first targets with most of the villain groups though even if they may not be the strongest mob present. Sky Raider Engineers, Illusionists, & Fortunata-types for example.
Techwright Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Malta sappers, though I have to give dishonorable mention to Night Widows with their blind abilities. I don't think I'd mind it so much if the blind didn't last as long as it does. Repeated hits just add to the frustration as well: *Blinded* Hah, hah! I have a yellow inspiration. Blind solved! No multi-minute wait for me! Bam! *blinded* Oh, for the love of ... 1 1
BZRKR Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I think it's only the ones that aren't worth any xp or inf. 2
ZemX Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago 2 hours ago, Aracknight said: Family bosses with Singularity. Eff those guys right in their effing ears. I am thankful I do not get motion sickness in video games, but for anyone who does, I am not sure we can say there's another change that HC devs have done that can actually make players physically ill the way this can. It was seriously a bad idea. It would be fine if the effect was just to drag you towards the Singularity, but the way it seems to work, especially when there's more than one acting on you, is to violently bounce you all over the area. And guess what? On a full team there tend to be at least two Family bosses with Singularities in EVERY spawn. So good luck if you are trying to use Break Frees to solve this. You either need to stay away at range or play a melee that has Repel mez protection. My fave tanker, a Rad Armor, doesn't. Sadly.

WumpusRat Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago While sappers are annoying, they're fairly easy to deal with. But you know who isn't? Vanguard bosses/elite bosses and their gee danged curse of weariness. 10 minutes of -50 max end. There's nothing you can do about it. You just have to wait it out. 1

Nectanebo Cursebreaker, from the crafting tables by the base portal @Lyte Stryke is correct. Still a pain in the rear, but at least you can do something about it if you have the Vanguard Merits. That aside, my least favorite mob is any Nemesis Lieutenant. That whole cast Vengeance upon defeat thing is more annoying than it's worth since I tend to play at least a +N/x6 by the time I regularly encounter Nemesis missions. For those, I just drop difficulty to 0/x0 and rush the mission. I can make up the XP elsewhere, but it's still annoying.

I was going to say Gold side foes. I haven't been back since before Live ended because of them, all these low levels toons of mine (solo or not) would walk down some ramp and three guys would go BUDDA-BUDDA-BUDDA and somehow have a wide enough cone to hit everyone and each BUDDA took off like a fifth of health.
