  1. Yea, I really really enjoyed Wrath. It was probably my favorite 'era' overall.
  2. Yea, Hybrids and itemization are going to be a rude awakening to a lot of people. QoL updates such as Spell Damage scaling with Intellect, Healing/Spell Damage being under the same banner, spell damage schools all being combined into one etc.. Just didn't exist yet in Vanilla. In Cata, you had something like +100 spell power on your gear. Back in Vanilla it was either +50 Healing. Or maybe +66 Nature Damage. It was very specific. Tier 1-3 gear was also proprietary with no options. You had 1 set of Tier Gear and it was balanced for the "Raid Spec" of that class in most cases. IE Priests got Holy Gear, not Shadow Gear. There were no other options. If you wanted to go against the grain and main a non-raid spec you your only hopes were "pity" slots in the raid and scavenging hodgepodge non-set pieces of gear. A feral druid had to wait until some Non-Tier piece of Rogue gear dropped. There was very little raid gear specifically made for Feral Druids in Vanilla. There was a reason that "Clothadins" existed xD Honestly I wish they either rolled up a Wrath server or a TBC. Although Blizzard has mentioned that those are possible if Vanilla is successful. I'll probably still level a toon in Vanilla just to revisit old memories, but I don't plan on raiding. Ain't got no time for that!
  3. I swear the devs tried something like this (in an attempt to let you 6-slot the level 49 power). The result was a very.. very. broken mess of a game. Apparently power slotting is coded so deeply in the spaghet that even looking at it funny will cause the game to implode. That point aside, I think working off a few slots would be neat. Not a lot though, 2-3.
  4. I find interesting how everyone treats Wrath like the apex of the game now. Yet, when it first launch it seemed most veteran players strongly disliked it. Reminds me of how the public opinion changed on Zelda Windwaker and Mario Sunshine too. For what its worth, I loved wrath. The story was back on track to finish up Frozen Throne, the atmosphere was great, the music was fantastic and the balance seemed pretty well. Some archaic design choices were finally being reverses. Albeit it was a bit on the 'easy' side, which is why I believe it got some tough love at first. I plan on revisiting Classic purely out of curiosity to see how well it holds up. Gotta roll a Shaman and experience them during their prime baby!
  5. While I haven't used Invoke Panic. I can say that mobs do retaliate when attacked while under the effect of both Dark Miasma's Fearsome Stare and the stare from Illusion's Spectral Terror. They'll usually attack once then go back into the "feared mode'.
  6. Wow you weren't kidding! All of them combined would still have less pop than a single shard on Homecoming. Still it's great to see other private servers up! In my opinion, Homecoming really hit a.. Homerun with its timing and professionalism. Not only were they the first out the door with stable (permanent) servers.. But they also had a grounded dev team. While everyone else was acting like spoiled manchildren, Homecoming was over here just doing their thing. ❤️
  7. It's both humorous and annoying when games do this. Take perfectly fine words and censor them. Either because they are made up of letters that form vulgar language on their own, or some other reason. I swear PSO used to censor the word "Door", or something similar to that. Azur Lane (a warship gacha) censors the latter part of the word "Torpedo" in the in-game chat rooms.. Which is extra funny because due to the nature of the game, torpedos are talked about a lot.
  8. Not really much I can add to what's already been said. It's to be expected. Some of the newer players left, others stayed. Some of us stick around but don't play as often anymore. I play maybe a night or two a week, depending on how busy I am. I still really love the game but I just cant dedicate as much time to it as I'd like. I pretty much took my vacation time when the servers launched xD Some other notes to take into consideration are "competing" servers. While AFAIK, HC is still "The Big Kid on the Block", its no longer the sole server.. Also the looming threat of an NCSoft shutdown is becoming less-and-less worrisome in the mind of the players. Going from "OMG it might be shut down next week, better cram all the play time you can" to "Eh, its probably pretty safe now". So there's a lot less urgency in milking the game. (I'm not saying there is no threat, but its discussed a lot less and it feels many players don't worry about it as much)
  9. It's gotta be tough to balance standard mission mobs around the power yielded by incarnate teams. Especially without resorting to cheap/gimicky stuff. iTrials pulled it off by pumping their stats to 11 and introducing actual raid mechanics. But that's not as easily carried over to the standard mission formats.
  10. Just a quick silly idea. They could introduce some new stand-alone IO's that focus on nothing but KB -->KD. Each comes with an attached enhancement value. +DMG / KB->KD +ACC / KB-> KD +Rech / KB -> KD +End Reduce / KB -> KD Now you can slot in your KB-->KD IO, and not have to pay as hefty of a slot tax because it will also come with an attached enhancement bonus. Even if the Enhancement value carries the same strength of a dual-aspect IO. It gives a little extra oomf but still makes you choose if you want to sacrifice a bit of stats for that conversion. Put em on the Merit Vendor for 50 Merits a pop.
  11. Cant mobs also get the +1/+2/+3 modifiers? Been awhile since I've ran iTrials but I swear I remember that being a thing. So, perhaps there can be an option for the player to choose these boosts for mobs within DA missions. So you wouldn't be fighting a 'Level 57', but a '54 + 3', which turns out to be the same thing as far as number crunching is concerned.. (Well I suppose their base HP/Dmg values would remain the same. But the purple patch would apply at least)

    Dark/Dark

That's arguable. While I think many would take Fade or Soul Absorption over Petrifying Gaze, the same can't be said about Fearsome Stare. Fearsome Stare is damned good, and a cornerstone for a D3. It's a pretty hard sell. /Dark on trollers only 'feels better' because Stare would be redundant, so the new toys really shine.
  13. While I agree with you, never underestimate what a handful of off-the-clock hobbyist/enthusiasts can accomplish xD
  14. Well, doing so is not only better for prestige ('Hey we've come up with an entirely new powerset! Awesome!'). It also doesn't run the risk of wrecking people's builds and forcing respecs etc. While I appreciate their stance of minimal changes to how sets functions. I do feel they kind of worked themselves into a corner with that mindset as well.
  15. #3 95% of the time. I learned early on to always take the rear elevators to help prevent unexpected aggro from mobs who may have spawned in close proximity. Why on the right-hand side? I dunno, might be a product of being right-handed or our driving system xD. Interestingly enough when I'm driving down a parking lot, I prefer to park on the left hand side. Assuming I have a choice.
  16. A freaking blast from the past, holy cow! Thanks for that xD I do wonder, with IOs etc. If it would be possible to make a modernized Toggle Man that didn't go "OOM" in 5 seconds. xD
  17. Well for starters every level above you the mob is, they resist it naturally. https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Purple_Patch So if the mob is +2 to you, your debuffs will function at 80% efficiency. 30% at +5 AVs don't seem to have special resistance for -DMG, but I could be wrong.
  18. I imagine eventually they'd have so much Incarnate content that many of these Incarnate powers would only be useable within that specific content.. Like you could only use Omega and Genesis vs the Battalion etc.. Otherwise ya, you'd be able to solo the ITF by simply looking at Rommy funny.
  19. I almost always end up with Clarion on my Defenders. Perma mez protection is simply delicious!
  20. Just checked this. Very Rare recipes (both PvP and standard Purps) are still up at the Reward Merit vendor. Are you sure you didn't have some filtering on by accident? If you set the slider to anything but level 50 the Purps won't show up.
  21. Wasn't that a meme for awhile? Speaking of which, does anyone have the little piece of media where someone took the CoV Cinematic Trailer and added funny dialogue to it? I don't remember if it was a video or a comic/screen cap style. Sure gave me a lot of laughs back in the day, and I entirely forgot it existed until now.
  22. Because that toggle also debuffs the enemy. So it's de-toggled completely when you get mezzed. Same happens to RTTC iirc.. Actually probably just about any taunt aura.
