  1. As someone who threw together a Energy/Dev Blaster recently as a lark, then found out it's a fun combo, I appreciate the builds guys. (I also need to brush up on my usage of JSON readers since I don't use mids...) And here's my build that works well enough for what I play them in. Tends to be more a solo or duo and great for setting up a bunch of trip mines while I make dinner... Nothing in particular chased and as long as I don't play too reckless very serviceable. blaster_energy_dev.txt
  2. Those badges are just for Ouro, not for most task forces. Some Task Forces have Masters that do similar, but they're normally just activated by a check box.
  3. That is an interesting question: How many characters per account do people have? Live, I had around 50 characters near the end. (multi-server) Here, I have 100 over two accounts. (the alt account has eight) and that's after I trimmed down. So, I can see there being more names claimed on HC, though that's just a thought. I do think 50s shouldn't be immune, but I like Without_Pause's idea of one saved name (per server maybe?). Though that would mean one more check in the DB, and some people might then do more accounts, just for that. I would really prefer global tied to the char name, then it wouldn't matter as much, but coding...
  4. I think OP mentioning to the player that they would probably get generic'd was a nice thing to do. And it's not like he posted the person's global, and it's not like we can look them up, since as stated, they got a generic right away.
  5. My Ether Bunney, same sets, but barely slotted with sets has a 364' range with Lance
  6. yea, communication without coffee is hard. I'll add if you look at the history (which isn't always accurate), but if you see a lot of for sale, and a bunch of bids. There's probably a bunch of lowball bids.
  7. See above fee discussion from ATC. It's just a risk if all the bids are lowball bids. I normally dump my salvage at 11 inf and sometimes will see a progression of payouts going out and then cratering into the teens eventually. For enhancements, I post at a minimum that it cost me to craft at. I know a lot of people post at much lower and on average, they still pull a profit.
  8. Yep. After reinstall, still a little off kilter. And yep, knew the falling thru the map wouldn't be from that.
  9. Used to be a cafe, but then a bunch of speedboaters kept splashing the customers, which caused the cafe to close, but their request for help still wound up going thru with the city putting the wall in.
  10. There are a few mobs like clockwork that get tossed due to having KB effect them more. Also, these were same level mobs?
  11. I'm in the "Ugh, respec" especially if it's just moving a couple slots around. And yes, that whole needing to drag the enh up to the tray if you're swapping all the generic IOs out. Though really the whole thing could be done in a cleaner fashion, but that would require some new UI design and a few things. In the meantime, bumping enhancement inventory up to 100 and the ability to just say "Shove all into inventory" would at least make it more bearable
  12. I see an issue with the Atlas one. Founders, the map seems alright, but coming out of the Police Station dropped me under the city with /stuck not helping. That has nothing to do with the map though. I'll see what a clean install does with the vidiot maps
  13. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Main_Page Gotta use the updated url. The old one is kaput
  14. It was the early days. We hadn't even had ED, aggro limits, or regen nerfed yet. My group thought it was pretty funny at the time.
  15. Yea, I had a kinetics defender that got refused teams often since they weren't Empathy and people didn't realize what Fulcrum and speed boosts really do.
  16. Ahem: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/code-of-conduct/
  17. Either this, or the ability to stuff them into a sack
  18. I have a bunch of characters on Excelsior. Won't be really able to test until next weekend maybe, since I am in the midst of a move.
  19. RNG is the most powerful cosmic entity
  20. I'm going to guess Dr Todd. The Brute must have lost Todd just before the teleport, though if you don't teleport Todd right to the door with ATT, she sometimes will run back to her doom. Especially if the person with her doesn't take the teleport. I have gotten annoyed at a Steamy Mist, etc... when someone did a driveby while I was escorting a hostage, but this was certainly not the case this time. Though we could do a test with several people. Have one subject at the door with stealth, have one with stealth grab Dr Todd and stand next to so she's still on the person, and another with AOE Stealth not by either. Then ATT and see if a failure happens because stealth adding up messes it up if Todd is one of the last ones teleported. It's a twitchy mission. And yea, while I'm one of those "I was on Beta!", it really doesn't mean that much. If anything, we're remembering how a power used to work.
  21. My favorite Storm is my Storm/Dark Sentinel. I do have a Storm/Cold Corruptor that's not bad. Neither is completely kitted out yet, so they should get better
  22. That was Flash in Luthor's body though.
  23. Since I was just comparing to SOs, it didn't seem worth it to compare to Set IOs that often have other benefits. A dual benefit set IO might look worse if you just compare the straight bonus, but depending on how many others from the set, yada yada yada. And then there's the whole comparison with HO (and related)
  24. a 50+5 IO gives a bonus of 53% vs a level 50 IO at 42.4% (smooth progression between +1 to +5 at ~2.12% per step) And for just completion sake, a 10+5 IO is worse than a level 15 IO. Not that anyone would waste boosters that way.
  25. Took a quick look at my chart: And yea, a level 40 IO beats any SO. A level 35 IO is equal to a +2 SO. 30 IO is almost as good as a +0 SO, a 25 IO is better than a -1 SO. One thing of interest, there's only a 5.7% difference between a level 35 IO and a level 50 IO. On the other hand, a 50+5 is 53% compared to a level 50 at 42.4%. Definitely not a smooth curve in progression for the IOs. And of course, ED complicates it a bit more. Just makes me feel better about not replacing any level 35 IOs with higher ones until I'm ready for sets
