  1. The cave spot in Cimerora (spelling, what's that)? Spent a bunch of time screwing around with that spot when first introduced and still take a dip in there during ITFs
  2. Yea, I figured as much, but usually when I'm running under diag, I'd rather not have the extra layers of possible debug. Mainly mentioned in case Rudra was running that and hadn't take the steps you just outlined.
  3. There is not. The leader of each SG needs to set it up while they are both on. Reasons to have a second account: 1) Ability to setup coalitions without another human involved 2) Powerleveling. 3) Secondary support roles. Sometimes I'll send in a character that I know will get in over it's head and have on the team my empathy defender who's main job is teleporting the dumbass to the start of the mission to rez them.
  4. Would be interesting if some of the animation models, etc... were made available.
  5. Citymod is very useful for installing
  6. Factions still listed in my RWZ map. I did note if I run the Diag client, I don't have vidiotmaps loaded.
  7. I have a Seismic/Plant and yes, visually noisy, but Meteor is one of the most entertaining powers. Especially slotted for KB and punting Hellions & Skulls in Perez
  8. Back in August , I moved and my new internet was horrible for City of Heroes. Did some diagnostics and noted that my connection wasn't awesome, it's just everything else wasn't as noticeable. After some more work, wound up replacing my router and immediately I was back to being able to run without too many issues. One of the odd things happening to me before the replacement router was when I was dual boxing, one of the clients would map serve and disconnect while the other didn't have that issue. However, I had bad lag whatever I was doing.
  9. I ran a Psi/Regen scrapper thru Praetoria. Just have to watch out for the regen debuffs, but you recover quick.
  10. Does she leave her position if someone brings a target nearby? Positron & Valkyrie often leave their post to gank an outcast.
  11. Based on my current latest characters, in this order: Teleport: It really is the fastest, TP Target is useful for lost teammates and pulling, fold space is fun. Flight: It's just a nice way to travel. I often get Mystic Flight instead. Super Jump: Mainly for combat jumping, but SJ is a lot of fun. Especially playing the street is lava (just can't cheat using the double jump...) Super Speed: Hardly ever. Just not my style (I think out of my current stable of 96 50s, one has SS)
  12. Reminds me, I need to outfit my Storm/Dark Sentinel.
  13. It's not the old style base raid, but there is a version: (Just scroll down or search for "base raid")
  14. On the issue of past characters hiding out in some database elsewhere. It takes so little time to rebuild a character into frankly better than what was on live. If you have your past costume files, you can upload them. Usually needing some tweaks, but you'll want to do that anyway. There's new cool stuff. AE files are also mostly compatible.
  15. Well, can't check for certain at the moment, but I think you can check to see who is online in a global channel. If you open the friends tab for the channel it lists who is online.
  16. Just got pulled into the shelter. Probably won't be back by the start time, but will login as soon as I get back
  17. See other discussions of why this was the course chosen. I was wondering why a topic about a graphics fix had anything to do with play styles, and then went, "oh" Old discussion, go summon GreyCat elsewhere.
  18. Sometimes topics get hammered if some of the reactions are the issue. And while there is a call for people to apply to be GMs, it will probably take at least a bit of time to spin them up to speed. In the meantime, people should just be nice to each other and ignore any thing that can be interpreted as a slight.
  19. Interesting bit, probably related to how some mission doors get pointed into weird areas, but for some reason if you setdown a thumbtack near the Port Oakes Plaque, the waypoint shows up at the abandoned lab instead. The thumbtack is shown at the correct location though. I added a kludge location nearby in the wiki, but didn't change the original parts since it's not the wiki's fault.
  20. That's not a problem with the location. If you thumbtack the location, it does put it at the right spot on the map. Not sure why the waypoint goes elsewhere. testing it out, if I back away from the plaque a little, the waypoint at least gets you to the right area /thumbtack -3102 207 -1546 I'll add a note to the wiki about it
  21. No current way. I'm not even sure there's a method for the devs to be able to do it easily.
  22. As mentioned, the tutorial. The Avid Reader Badge that you get via the Praetorian tutorial can also be gotten in Ouro from Prometheus after completing an incarnate trial. Doing the Praetorian Mission arcs via Ouro crystal doesn't give you the option of being undercover. Praetorians can't visit any of the Primal zones until they switch. However, they can do Primal missions that don't need to go to Primal areas. Instanced task forces such as Cathedral of Pain, incarnate trials, etc... are doable. You can sometimes get a train mission to work for you if you use Team Transport. And note that Praetorians can get to Pocket D, Echo Plaza, and the Winter Village. Plus the couple zones still available from Null the Gull.
  23. This is the crux really. And just because someone has been in IT for X amount of years, doesn't mean they are a lawyer...
  24. Just because you have the source code, doesn't mean you can say it's Open Source and voila, it's open source. The original owner still has that decision. It's a bit more complicated with code added onto a closed project and that is probably somewhere in the discussion with the legal stuff. There's a bunch of other stuff, but even when a company is willing to release something legally into Open Source, there's a few extra steps.
  25. My first 50 gradually built up funds and sets while being able to fund alts. Though I was a return veteran, so not so big a deal. I think it's not so much that someone gets to 50 without knowing how to play, but not taking the time to learn to play. You can do that at any level, you just have to actually learn
