Fair. (FWIW, I *hate* fast snipe and wish we had a way to turn it off. We've got an "always fast snipe" IO, I want a "never fast snipe" one.) <-- still uses standard snipes regularly and *hates* fast snipes and having to wait for them to get out of "fast" mode. I picked a snipe for *range* and *damage.* If I want something I can use during combat, I've got at *least* the rest of an entire powerset for that.

give iTrial leader a tip upon completion
Greycat replied to Gerswin's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Why do I see this opening up leaders abusing players for not paying them... -
This, I think, would be one of the few times I'd be up for "Yeah, straight replacement might be a good idea," especially if you're trying to "tankermind" a bit and get a specific enemy (or eliminate that one quickly, or before the minions go haring off after a runner.) The extra range would be useful.

Have to say I don't particularly care for this. Right now, you can get "infiltration" by taking mask presence on the three VEATs it's thematic for (since Crabs don't tend to be stealthy) and Athletic Run - so no need for a pool pick. I can run Mask Presence without affecting my movement. Plus, frankly, there's nothing about Widows, Forts, Crabs or Banes that indicates "Inherent travel power." If one of the options were Mu? There'd be an argument for an inherent flight there. But for the others? Nope. You're an Epic. the ATs are designed to be you, a common redslider schlub working for Arachnos, to decide you want to force your way onto the "Destined Ones" list. That's the basis to work with.
-
Yeah. This has been a longstanding request/gripe. It got worse during invasions when they cut down the despawn time of defeated mobs to cut down the "clutter."
-
Well, no. Blue *and* red can go into Praetoria, after all, so numbers wouldn't necessarily be too bad. If they get into the WTF migration, people would jump in for an hour or two. It'd be more finding one to *start* the TF, unless it considers what your starting alignment was (looking for some Praetoria-specific badge, perhaps - I'm not sure how it handles the forced red/blue on leaving praetoria and if the game remembers what you were previously.)
-
Yeah. Main issue there is screwing up the story progression. If you don't care about that? *shrug* I don't know that there's story enough left in Praetoria, but sure.

A way to make acquiring day jobs slightly less tedious
Greycat replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Note, I wasn't actually asking. But have heard that asked more often than not. -
I don't have problems telling them apart, but I'm certainly not going to discount that others might. Either letting people select their own color, or if that's not possible, maybe providing a few palettes wouldn't hurt.

A way to make acquiring day jobs slightly less tedious
Greycat replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Ehhhh... depends on the temp power. There's not a temp power that (for instance) gives me vanguard merits for completing missions. That said, yeah. I'm "eh" about this. I suppose at times finding an appropriate *place* to add to day job time can be a bit annoying ("What counts as a graveyard nearby?") but... eh. -
And here I was going to scroll right past this... ;) More base stuff = yes please.

"Wreckage" or other remains for enemies that blow up/vanish
Greycat replied to biostem's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
As someone who's on a warshade a lot ... GMs stick around long enough to get a few powers off their bodies, so I'm not quite sure why you're using that for an example (other than, perhaps, Caleb, Scrappy or Sparky.) Some enemies just aren't good for certain power types. Ask any Psy blast user faced with a mission that's mostly robots, or someone watching their slows and such ignored by War Wolves. That said? Every one of your examples is typically surrounded by other enemy types. BP masks explode and don't leave something behind? The shaman summoning them, the other shamans, the zombies - all leave bodies. Jump bots (and FF generators) don't? How about those Raider Engineers, Porters and the rest of the NPCs? COT Ghosts? How about the rest of the COT and their summoned demons? Their bodies stick around. I *will* say the one "fade away" timer that could use some looking at in this instance, though, is invasion mobs. They had their timers altered on live to make them disappear faster to cut down on the visual clutter, but it often *has* been to fast to manage to get something like an Extracted Essence off of them. About the only other group I'd complain about would be Rikti and seeing if we could have some of the spawn patterns there adjusted. I've gone through everything from several spawns to complete missions that are almost completely drones, which is just annoying for multiple types of character. Putting some sort of limit on how many drones per spawn not mixed in with anything else would be nice. -
I want to say it wasn't "rolled back" so much as an attempt at emulating a *very* early server, and that that had been going on since some point in live. We don't have "early" code to work with, after all.
-
Well, got back *really* early on mine... to pre-ED. And as for PHotobucket, well... yeah, PB pretty well screwed itself when it tried to screw its users with its ridiculous payment demands.
-
Yes. Hamidon Pasalima. No, no. Hamidon itself is the only viscous nightmare. The rest are merely vicious. :)
-
Yeah. If you want to "see" the game, don't join speed runs. My first Aeon ended up being a speed run, and I still have no clue what was going on. Start a run (of anything,) explain "hey, I'm new to this and want to SEE the content," and do it. Don't rush to 50. DOn't know if you did or not, but... you miss a lot. Also, it half sounds like the OP should get into RP. Making *characters* to me and interacting with others has been far more fun than "1-50 in an hour, eleventybillioni percent defense nothing can hit me I'm permaeverything raaaaagh!"

I have to disagree with making (most) hazard zones co-op zones. It's already annoyingly "weird" to have Arachnos operating *in Atlas Park and Faultline,* (and, the flip side, Longbow taking over Mercy.) It's an invasion (or at least attack) by a hostile power. Plus, frankly, I agree with six-six, redside should have its own stuff instead of Blueside's seconds and table scraps. Plus, even if you say "well, it's not an Arachnos invasion (sorry VEATs,) just "independent contractors," there's the old argument - if I'm on SuperHeroicDude and I see EvilGuy running around to get to their mission, *why can't I stop them?* I don't think there'd be much, if any, support for opening up PVP in the zones, and if they just can't see each other... what would be the point? Not sure how I feel about extending the hazard zone level ranges. They align nicely with regular zone ranges right now, and extending would just give overlap that's not really needed. (Side note, I don't think there *are* any "trial zones" in the game. Faultline was the only one I can think of, and that trial never made it into the game - it was designed for a full SG, as I recall in the 15-20 range needing a league's worth of people. I'd have to check my old Prima guide. It's now a story zone. The concept seemed to get dropped early.) Story arcs? Yes. There's a little rebuilding in Boomtown now, there's *got* to be something going on in Crey's Folly - especially with it being so close to the RWZ (and Crey's is probably the only place where, to me, "independent contractors" (villains) coming in make sense with the bleedover from the RWZ - no Arachnos, though - but it runs into the same "but why can't I stop them?" question.) Events? Something *other* than GMs that can be soloed without "A build?" Sure. The only real ones we have blueside are the ghost ship, hellion fires and troll raves that aren't GM-centric. They seem like another idea that was just abandoned on live. So more and more variety... yeah.

You can see the sky in Echo:DA? :) (If you're looking for the fog, that's available, it's just not a sky.)
-
"Double Prestige?" Ugh. Just the thought of having to deal with Prestige is reason enough for me to stay away from there.
-
Nope. Can't make me. Rarely take Hasten, either, despite the apparent (at least in some quarters) "It's NEEEDED in EVERY build!" Nope. And I rarely take Leadership in any form, unless I'm a MM. Maybe if I have an extra pick or two, or I'm working on a solidly team-centric build. I build my characters to be who they are, not what numbers are where on someone's spreadsheet.

While they don't make video games, EVGA is known for video cards... But they won't be now. They're getting out of the video card business entirely, apparently... 80% of the business.
-
You can just go to the contact, too. It'll automatically exemp you down to the max level of the arc (WWD #1, for instance, you'd run at level 20.)
-
If you think this is a good challenge? Do ya one better. Death = being auto-kicked from the team, account is banned from trying another run of that TF for 24 hours. Maybe even get a badge - "Booted" or "Roadkill" or something for it! That sounds like a fun "challenge" and penalty, right?

That's kind of what I see crashing T9s as. It seems a lot of people hate "situational" powers (and in an age of IOs, it's kind of hard to come up with a situation that's also fair to others...) and want to use everything, all the time, perma if possible (*shudders.*) But to me, something that crashes is something you're only going to want to use once in a while. The crash representing (as it's usually described, paraphrased) having to reach down and give *everything* to overcome the hardest challenges and burn yourself out for a while as a result. The "little something" you keep in your back pocket for when you absolutely, positively need it. The "Meh, he's some guy with a sword, we've wiped the floor with the rest of the team and he's slowing down, we can take him,s ure he's a little tough but OMG WTF WHY IS HE GLOWING WHY IS THE ROOM BURNING" moment. (So, yeah. "Worth it" not just being numeric. ;) )
