  2. You'd just rise up the bit. The power would be a purely visual effect. Malonkey1 has it exactly right, like that DA personal mission when you play a Mu.

  4. Nice! Anyone have suggestions for Cold? I guess Psychic kinda has to be Blaster, and Sonic is a support no matter what. I know Energy Melee is weak, so what about Energy2 Blaster compared to Sentinel? EDIT: D'oh, forgot Doms could arguably be Mental^2!
  5. See, that's conflicting in terms of theme; I'm talking about if you're set on doing SOMETHING Fire/Fire, or Energy/Energy, what AT do you go with?
  6. Iunno if you Tank as a Brute, but I think the idea is that SR is fine for short durations of enemy attention, but if it's CONSTANT, then you're going to get nailed due to Streakbreaker over and over again.
  7. Dunno about working with Shields specifically, but I know WM is supposed to be brutal, and Shield is a strong set to begin with, so it's probably a strong combo.
  8. Yeah, given that they've done their tanker, brute, and MM fixes, I'd love if this were next on the to-do list.
  9. So for certain elemental/weapon themes, some ATs work better than others for the given power sets. For example, if someone wanted to blast things with electricity, I'd recommend Elec/Elec Sentinel over Elec/Elec Blaster. If you want to be a "natural," more basic hero however, I'd steer someone away from Assault Rifle sentinel over to maybe an AR/devices blaster. I've heard Sword/Shield is amazing on Stalker, but don't know how good it is on Brute. I'm just curious if anyone keeps track of which ATs work best for these sorts of stylistic combos, where you go for theme first, build second. Like, Stone/Stone Tanker is bad, but what about Earth/Earth Dom?

  12. Pretty sure Energy Melee is near the bottom of the barrel, sadly. Maybe SR/EM? No synergies really, and no res or self heal....

Just wondering if, for theme's sake on some characters, there could be another Spring option at the P2W vendor that just uses the Hover animation, but doesn't actually lift you any higher than maybe 1 foot off the ground. There's Slide, but that gives you that weird surfboard stance, and it'd be cool to have something similar with your toon facing straight forwards.
  15. Just like the title says. I know I've seen mention of this pairing a fair amount, but scanned and didn't see any builds posted. That 3500+ build post had like 2 of them, but they were...less than impressive. Just looking for a general-purpose, solid build.
  16. IMO we could also do with some sort of teleport-attack, similar to Air Superiority and Spring Attack....and maybe some better slotting options. Or else give it a nice buff/toggle. Maybe some sort of short-term, long-cooldown defense buff, as you TP at the last moment to dodge attacks? The other travel pools have more variety, and thus, more slotting options. Also, with the prevalence of base codes, Ouro, etc, long range teleport is a contender for least useful power in the game right now.

  19. Hmm, but with the Hybrid Control, it has a chance to add damage to enemies who are "controlled," but it doesn't specify mez or hold. If an enemy is Slowed, does that count?
  20. So I'm not seeing much talk about what Hybrid to use. I would have thought either support, or MAYBE Control for the lockdown aspect....but I'm seeing both those posted builds use Melee? That...seems kinda weird....
  21. I've heard Energy Melee IS on the dev team's To-Do list, at least....but don't know when they'll get to it. They may try and implement some of the changes to Energy Assault, which might work well.
  22. I strongly recommend AGAINST Energy Melee until the dev team has given it some love. Current issues with it (multiple stemming from slow animations) include: 1: Lack of AoE. 2: The animations are so slow that you'll get caught up in one when you need to react defensively to something. 3: Due to the slow ST animations, your hits will often be "wasted," because by the time they connect, teammates will likely have killed that mob already. 4: Related to the above, which someone termed "corpse blasting," your T9 burns some of your health every time you fire it off, hit or miss, or even if you're hitting something that's already dead. This will be exacerbated by a defensive set that lacks heals, like Shield. I say all this as someone who took an Energy/energy brute to 50, mind. I've heard good things about Psi or Rad melee as alternatives.
  23. Suggesting for Super Reflexes: "Glancing Blow": Any attack that hits you, has a chance to deal reduced damage as you roll with the punch/attack.
  24. What does PBU mean? Power Build Up?
