Again, I understand all of this. But, however bad a casual player may look for ignoring a part of a broadcasted request, I’d rather see that than self-righteous fit thrown publicly over other players.

It may be somewhat of a social norm for Hami or MSR, but, in the broader game, sending a tell for a team invite is as normal as it gets. I’m not saying I don’t personally broadcast for an invite if I am told to. But people coming to the forums to cry about other players doing one of the most normal things you can do? I’d rather not play with someone so uptight generally speaking.

If people have to read a rant like this to know your reasons, it is still reasonable to interpret your rules as arbitrary. I agree with nihili. If you’re going to have special rules, ignore your tells or deal with them. Coming to the forums to whine about people not adopting your special rules is not a super flattering look.

Solution in search of a problem. What other playstyles could we arbitrarily nuke from orbit, since some of you guys are into that? Nerf farming and I’d just go back to finding that one Harvey Maylor mission anyway, so whatever.

I think they’ve said the defense is too much for something with resistance and healing too, but it seems simple enough to just swap the extra defense buff out of Energy Drain for something else if that’s the reasoning..

FWIW I made a variant of my Poison/Dark with no cones and it works fine too. I get AoE damage from Blackstar, Enflame, and loading damage and -res procs into Venomous Gas, World of Confusion, and Envenom/Weaken. Rune of Protection + Melee Core + Life Drain and you’ve got yourself a nice Poison Scrapper. I don’t much like Clarion for Poisons. Poisons want Ageless. If I made a Poison/Sonic, I’d be tempted to take Shockwave for Force Feedback, but I’d probably skip Howl.

Yeah, one problem with 100m is you can make that even quicker than you can powerlevel a character to 50. Though you’d be set back a smidge on IO money. I’d be more ok with 1 billion because only the ultra rich would waste their money so inefficiently, leaving this little chance to disrupt our game’s largely farmer driven economy. Outside the massive inf sink outside of the market that is.

Pets do wipe fairly often at high difficulties, but, against +4x8, any other AT is still going to use way more endurance cleaning up the entire mob than the MM would just recasting their T1 summon a couple of times and re-upgrading. The T2 and T3 most likely don’t need to be resummoned every mob. As for running tests on SO’s or without using one’s secondary/pools, I have no interest in testing arbitrary conditions I literally never use. I have never slotted a single SO since live.

I always slot Enflame with 2 acc/dam/ends and 3 damage procs and 1 -res proc.

I don’t know what set you’ve been playing but these days Storm has never been better due to Sudden Acceleration and Force Feedback procs tuning down their scattering while tuning up their damage bigtime. Most experienced Storms I know only run Hurricane against AV’s. If you have an occasional runner, shoot them down or CC them - with all that DPS, you’ve got time to. Does it scatter things more than a taunting tank would? Yes, obviously. Does the running across the map complaint sound like hyperbole since most mobs are either on their backs or dead? Yes, it does.

I believe a dev has already said in a focused feedback thread somewhere that Irradiated Ground is currently broken with procs.

The 2-3 hours currently required to get 1-50 seems small enough.

Have you been reading the thread responses at all? Masterminds generally have highest DPE in game.

Patch damage has never done containment damage. Like Ice Storm, Bonfire, etc. I have never used Corrosive Vial but know for certain Enflame summons patches. They are the only pool power exceptions you’ve found because they are the only pool powers that summon patches. Procs have not done containment damage either though there are less examples of this to reference (examples outside of damage proc enhancements ofc, none of which get containment damage). But I would assume Arcane Bolt’s proc functions like a damage proc like Assault Radial or Toxins does. All working as intended as far as I know.

You could, yes. It would just be clunky to *keep* aggro.

I love Sorcery but the extent of its usefulness certainly varies from AT to AT. Spirit Ward is perhaps best on pet classes (or at least support) unless you’re just using it as a Preventive Medicine mule. Makes a pet way more durable. You will like it on Controllers. Arcane Bolt is great but with the caveat that it doesn’t fill out an attack chain that well. Its problem is it is so much better when Arcane Power procs that it can feel better NOT to spam it but rather to just hit it when you see the yellow circle. Mystic Flight is a Fly/TP, nuff said. Enflame is a great power vs mobs and procs reliably, but I do not know if its damage is good enough to be justified against an AV instead of a group. I think maybe the Ill/Dark doesn’t have it. Two of my Grav trollers do though. Rune of Protection is awesome but more noticeably good if paired with Melee Core Embodiment. EDIT: Enflame could be really good against AV’s. I don’t know. On one hand it’s low damage in general, but it’s passive damage that only has to be activated once a minute.

Side note: my ill/dark/primal only picked up primal because I had little left to invest in an APP. So it’s just Conserve Power and Temp Invulnerability for me. I guess Sorcery limited my options since it’s a slotting heavy pool. I would agree with picking another pool if you have room to invest. Indomitable Will is always attractive. I know a friend with Ill/Dark/Mu that swears by the extra pet. Seismic Smash or Poisonous Ray or Water Spout would all also be good damage sources with proc options. Agree Power Blast kind of sucks.
