I am currently in the process of getting all my toons to at least 30 (already a project on the works). I was informed that level 30 'vanilla' IOs will function as even level SO++ all the way up so I will probably spec out several that way and see how it goes. I know several of those will be 100k or more each so ita not a super cheap route but I am hoping it will be cheaper than replacing SOs and a LOT cheaper than sets like a couple of my toons have. I may still pop in a few uniques for procs but havent decided yet.

Incentive: offer to PL them or give them a cut for those super sweet set bonuses lol Maybe AE is a prison and we just don't realize it.

That is odd...my ESC is bound to cancel whatever is queued, but it has been that way since my first week back and I always load my bindfile so maybe it skips the bug.

I was hoping it would lead to a back hallway or a super secret area with snacks or a continental breakfast or something, but it deposits you right in the front foyer as though you used the front door. No foods 😞

I love the council maps but that's because they arent blue caves with the 5 tier cake room. Until you get the pool room, then all bets are off lol.

A workaround would be /bind ESC <whatever you are wanting it to do> Like if you want it to fire off Hasten: /bind ESC powexecname Hasten I have found the options screen keybinds kinda winky in the past but maybe they will be tweeked one day. Until then, I hope this helps!

Top of this page has an option for Game Account. If you havent created one, that's your problem, you need a forum account for posting here and a game account for logging into the game. If you have made a game account, you need to make sure you are changing the password for it and not for your forum account. You also need to make sure you are using the game account password with the game account username to log into the game, not the forum account password. Hope this all helps you get it straightened out and you get to go kill the baddies!

Anyone happen to know the names of the files or which folder they may be in my CoH folder? I will have a peek tomorrow and see if I can do client side mods on my base. For everyone in your supergroup to see it itd have to be in the game or everyone have client side mods. People use client side mods for power buttons and even vidiotmaps is a mod, so it should be doable strictly from a client side perspective.

I am all for this, for all zones. I play the game through a hotspot, not Wi-Fi, so I zone really slowly which can be problematic on teams. All my other gameplay is speedy and lag free, just zoning to base then destination would be awesome if I have to go through more than 2 zones to get wherever I am supposed to be.

If this person is the person I think it is, they arent joking and I would bet money this is a bonifide offer of help. Either this person, or someone with a suspiciously similar name, helped me out and asked for nothing in return. If you are having problems finding what you feel you need, its a good idea to listen to people who may have had the same issue and found it a display bug or it was a wrong vendor problem. Rather than assuming everyone is just saying 'you are doing it wrong' take some private help to see if you are indeed doing it wrong or if something deeper is going on that should be reported as a bug or, yes, as a suggestion. When I read the original post I assumed the poster was looking for recipes specifically because they wanted to craft them...for badges or role play or whatever. If ALL the recipes are available at the merit vendor there should never be a reason someone can't find the recipe they need. To original poster: I hope you figure out how to find the stuff you need or maybe make it clearer why the AH should be seeded with recipes when they can be obtained at the merit vendor. Good luck!

Thanks y'all! Healing Flames is on auto-cast so it fires, needed or not, so I think from the logic and timing presented it is fine where it is. She has no end or health issues (except with knives of vengeance...they hurt) but I will keep that in mind for my future builds on other toons.

I took my 50 tank to ouro and soloed Cavern of Transcendence. I didnt remember there was a monster in there. Last time I did it had to be 05 or so, still needed 8 people to clickie simultaneously. I just did it on a lark because someone said they changed it and its soloable now. Tanks arent known for their damage output but TankYou managed to take down the beast! Slowly, yeah, but she succeeded! I was so shocked and surprised that I, someone who doesn't even understand IOs and incarnates yet, someone who has never min/max built or anything remotely similar, managed it that I am considering her for some TF solo runs just to 'see what shes made of'. I will follow this thread and hopefully others like me, with little clue about building massive power, will join the conversation. You dont have to be the best builder out there for some of this stuff, and that is awesome!

I am just learning about sets and bonuses and procs. Question: this morning on in-game help channel some people said Numina should always be in a passive power but the others can go anywhere. Now on my tank I have Numina in Healing Flames so am I doing it wrong? Why must Numina be in a passive power I guess is what I need to know? Or was I listening to the wrong people? Thanks for all the info, I am actually kinda starting to understand this whole business!

To be clear, I meant that because of the times I play people may not be available, online, I was NOT making a comment about the willingness or helpfulness of people here or there. You are right in that I should see for myself to verify populations rather just 'hearing' that other servers have small populations.

A blue name (dont remember which one) posted recently on another thread that in HC you can just go talk to contacts to 'get them' and introductions are unnecessary. My problem is that I dont remember where or who they are and my alt-tab while in-game causes crashes. The other day on a troller, Jim whatshisname in Faultline gave me a new contact in Talos and when I went to the contact tab to find out where to go find him, it had a phone already although I had never laid eyes on him! That was very helpful and I think that should work for all contacts. I have also had great luck with the 'find contact' button for when I just don't have a clue where to go. It will (sometimes) also teleport you to the contact so its very helpful if they are 3 zones away, less zoning yay! I am totally on board with giving all contacts/detectives/brokers, everyone basically, phones so you can just call them up and see if they need your help.

I havent tried other servers (because I dont know how) but I do know there are some very nice and helpful people here on HC who are available and answer the call when I need help. If the other servers have smaller populations (by a large margin so I have heard) that might limit how many people are available to help so players stay where the population is. To address the changes and upgrades to the server the OP wants to know about, I think the upgraded undercarriage (64 bit client) and other behind the scenes stuff in preparation for the future seems like slow progress but is really the best way to go about HCs goals for the server. As has been mentioned, they also recently added some storylines.

They implemented the power customization before I left the game and that was in early 2010.

Lol there is a house about a mile from me who, I swear, owns every decoration ever created. Every month, she/he/it has their front yard decorated for something so much so that you don't even see grass or the color of the bricks. Its atrocious! I still prefer that, seperate holidays, to this massive blending people do. To each his own but I prefer my holidays one at a time (less food to cook that way lol). But bring on the pressies! Edit: by every month I mean EVERY month...July is red white and blue all month, May, September, no holiday? No problem, that house decorates for....something lol

Reverse engineering, I like it. The only difference that may be coded differently or cause issues is the commandability of MM pets vs the non-commandability of troller pets.
