  1. People will sometimes put out a call for a Tinpex, which means the Apex and Tin Mage Mark II Task Forces run back-to-back.
  2. We need someone to figure out a major game-breaking way to exploit this, and then publicise it widely. Maybe that would bump it up the bug list and get it fixed.
  3. I feel like I'm fundamentally missing something about this suggestion. There's already such a small PVP population in the game that it almost all takes place in the Arena + one out of the four PVP zones. And your proposal to make PVP more popular is to take the miniscule sub-population of PVPers who PVP in the other three zones and spread them out over seven zones instead? What's the actual mechanism by which you envisage this increasing the number of players who want to PVP? Badgers don't convert into PVPers when they've collected the exploration badges in four zones, but eight zones will somehow definitely do the trick? I genuine don't understand the thinking behind this.
  4. Hell, make it a badge AND a free costume change!
  5. Praetoria is an alternate Earth, as you say. You might remember the Praetorian villains like Anti-Matter from when you played before. However, with Going Rogue (I18), the devs added three new level 1-20 zones allowing characters to start as Praetorians, and also revamped the old Praetorian content like A Hero's Hero to match the revised lore. First Ward was added to Praetoria in Issue 21, specifically as a co-op zone for Heroes, Villains and Praetorians. The Hero and Villain contacts that pop up at level 20 were added at the same time. (There is a way for Praetorians to get from Imperial City to First Ward, but it's relatively obscure, and I'd say that the gameplay strongly guides Praetorians towards leaving for Primal Earth at 20 and then going back to FW.) So to answer your question, yes, it's perfectly legit for your character to be in First Ward, in terms of how the live devs intended the game to play. While playing FW with a character who started as a Praetoria does add something, in terms of knowing more about Praetoria and having met some of the NPCs before, I wouldn't personally say it was necessary. I think it perhaps feels a bit disconnected from the game around it because it was originally added as VIP/Paragon Market paid content, so it's set up so that it doesn't leave too jagged a hole in the game for the players who hadn't bought it. I hope that's helpful. If not, just ask and I can elaborate -- I tried to avoid any spoilers!
  6. M.C. Louis. Manticore. Hmm...
  7. That is a frankly adorable level of optimism.
  8. If you make the change to the costume before level 10, it'll be free anyway, I think.
  9. That would be really cool! Every time I get a helicopter mission door I think it's a shame that I can just fly through the propellers like they aren't there. Adding some electrical damage to the power lines would make weaving between them while flying more exciting, too.
  10. How safe uncooked egg is basically depends on your county's food standards. In the UK. there's no real risk as long as you buy the eggs with the red lions stamped on them. Anyway, I'm with Ramsey -- runny scrambled eggs all the way. I can't stand them all rubbery.
  11. I found this guide on Strategywiki about Enhancement drops by enemy type, but I have no idea how accurate it is, so please approach with caution. Someone did update the page in May 2019, for what that's worth.
  12. Speaking of butter, I've occasionally been known to butter a slice of nice cheddar, add a sprinkle of crunchy salt crystals, and eat it like that. Sometime the bread part of the sandwich just doesn't feel necessary.
  13. I'm not knocking them! They're my favourite flavour of crisps, at least since Seabrooks stopped making Tomato Ketchup flavour. A Prawn Cocktail butty made with a well-buttered floury bap is one of the joys of life. ETA: Now I have to walk up to the corner shop to see if they have any for sale.
  14. Well, that is odd. You should use Prawn Cocktail flavour like a normal person.
  15. Sorry, but no. I don't want everywhere in CoX to feel the same. I want my level 50 character to stroll through Perez Park like an awesome untouchable badass. Preferably, I want someone to tweak the enemy AI so that the Skulls cower at my passing, praying that I don't choose that moment to tidy the streets up with a casual fireball. If it wouldn't make it inconvenient for badge hunting, I'd say they should scatter in terror and dive through the nearest doorway. (I definitely wouldn't be opposed to a trainer offering the option to exemp a character, though. That would be cool.)
  16. It has a variable payout, though, doesn't it, with more merits for the first completion? It would fit in if the system can't 'see' which particular payout an activity gives, and only counts those with a fixed reward.
  17. It isn't that the people with goods will ask more, it's that people with more currency will pay more. If the same number of goods are for sale, then the people with more currency will pay more so that they can 'win' the available goods. This then pushes up the price for everyone. That's it. That's how excess currency drives inflation.
  18. Petition to include 'Stylishness' in all set scores.
  19. Not only that, they have ludicrous aggro ranges, which is especially galling when letting them be defeated fails the mission. I have no idea how Aarons possibly survived long enough to become a General.
  20. Welcome home. I duoed an Ice/Cold Corr up to Incarnate recently, and it was a fantastic ride! Good mix of damage, support and control. My duo partner had a fire/fire Brute and appreciated the +Def, especially at pre-IO levels.
  21. I actually really enjoy this mission, I think it's different and a lot of fun, EXCEPT for the spawn camping by the mobs. Just tweak that, and everything would be awesome. We had to reset it while duoing it because even stacking up insps and base buffs we couldn't stay alive long enough, and it soured the arc experience on those characters.
  22. @FrauleinMental Your character bio made me tear up a little!
  23. One of the biggest differences between CoX and other MMOs is the 'alts are the end game' nature of CoX. Grinding for particular rewards is one thing when you're using it to add new shinies to players' very limited stables of characters. It's another thing when people have dozens of characters and have to jump through the same hoops over and over and over again.
  24. Whoops! I even look it up in Paragonwiki to make sure I got the right one and I still typoed the name!
  25. This thread inspired me to make an Ill/Storm controller called Illusion of Chaos. PSA: Did you know that six-slotting Kinetic Combat Kinetic Crash gives you a 7.5% Rech bonus?
