Yes. The powers will even say that they have a taunt component to them. Taunt is different then getting damage from agro. Most tanker attacks can slot threat enhancements. Tanker taunts are stronger than damage agro. @smnolimits43 .... or you use a break free or have some other way to break the taunt effect. (I think clear mind and O2 will clear it as well)

Homecoming 540 to Rebirth 375 at this point.

Get it all through the auction house and sell what you don't need. I don't even bother with salvage racks; they just slow me down. The tutorial on the IO system in the Universities pretty neatly shows the functionality of the invention system. The IO sets aren't much more complicated than that. I haven't watched any videos or googled on the Invention System. I'm no Yomo, but I do okay. Honestly, the AH is the easiest way to invent stuff or just simply by it off the rack. For many people, it is cheaper just to buy attuned enhancements than it is to build them. I like the invention market the way that it is. It saved my characters on-live when it came out. It doesn't need to be made easier. If you don't want to take the time to figure it out and do what is necessary, then buy my goods.
-
Gonna take a lot more voting for Homecoming to win. Announce in-game maybe?

Yep. If it was in the programing. This is a typo in text and not in a statement that needs to be executed by a programing language. The typo isn't causing the program to behave as it wasn't intended. It's simply mislabeling what the program is executing correctly and as intended.

Seems more like a typo to me.

fixed Impassioned Serenade bugged, not confusing
UltraAlt replied to WindDemon21's topic in Bug Reports
There is a chance to hit, and I'm pretty sure there is a seperate check on the special effects. I think all the other confuses are just confuse, so the hit check is for the confuse. I have the feeling that the hit check on the confuse for symphony is for the damage and then there is a second SFX activation check on the confuse versus any mez protection that the enemy might have at the time. I'm thinking it is the same kind of mechanic like holds and fears where magnitude may be playing a part in it as well. .... oh, and good to see that you were able to get the video capture working. . -
But, all in all, we know that Yomo is actually not hoarding it all. ... and Yomo can still sit on the fat stack or take a dive in the deep end and not have to worry about hitting the bottom of their savings pool.

Well, I'm confused. It looks to me like you are constantly confusing targets with the power and for well over a couple of seconds (per your estimate). -

Is your card on the list? Did you go into the AMD Radeon Settings and activate Relive? If so, check the keybind settings in Relive. My Symphony/Empathy controller is only level 14. I have not slotted up confuse on the power. It has 2 Acc and the +PSI Damage Prestige Enhancement in it. I don't have Tactics yet on the character. At this level, I confuse over 66% of the team by my estimates. I did the counting in my head and it lasts 20 seconds on Oranges. If you don't wait for the confuse to expire and hit the target successfully again, it should stack the confuse fx and make it easier for the confuse to happen. I'll check back after my Symphony Controller is over level 22. A friend of mine had a Symphony controller up in the 30's, and they haven't complained about the confuse not working, but we may be hitting the same targets on that one. (I duo that team with a Symphony Dominator). Enemies don't attack with any of the confuse powers that don't do damage. Honestly, I think Symphony is the only set where confuse and/or sleep do damage unless you add damage procs. Do you know where the video capture folder is? I kind of think mine for City of Heroes defaulted into the City of Heroes game file folder. It was a long time ago, and I redirected NVidia to load the CoH capture files directly into my main CoH storage folder (which is different from the game file folder). Plenty of videos on YouTube about AMD Radeon Relive, but I did see something about it being discontinued and, on newer versions of the software, you have to access the video capture by different methods, so you might want to check into that as well with AMD customer support. Oh, is it always happening while using hover? My character doesn't have hover. I'll try it with a flight pack to see if that has any impact on it. -
I don't use mids, so I can't address that. I'm a concept player so I am always building my character from scratch. Always with a concept. Always with limitation inbuilt about kinds of powers I won't take. It's a matter if you are going to be cookie cutter with MIds or if you are actually going to design the character yourself. Also, if you intend to be designing a level 50, that is a quite different thing than building a character through leveling. So I think clearly for me, the "design" is the character conception that I use as the guide for the character's development/construction in-game. If you are going to build a 40-story building, the foundation is extremely important. I'm not mini-maxing or cookie-cutting. I'm tailoring to my character conception.

Capture and Stream Gameplay Using AMD Radeon™ ReLive https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh-023 what behavior are you seeing that makes you think they aren't confused if you see the SFX? Are the enemies that are confused attacking you or are you just watching the combat log? Enemies are getting off an attack immediately when my symphony controller sleeps them before they go to sleep as well. I too think that the point of confuse and sleeps is to avoid the "alpha" attack of enemy groups. I'll go run around and try it solo. I've been running in a group, but I haven't noticed issues with the confuse. I use it like a second hold to be honest. -

What kind of graphics card do you have? If you go into the Nvidia control panel, you can set the capture settings to what you want them to be. If I remember the correctly, the default is Alt+Z to start and stop video capture. I just made a symphony controller a couple of days ago. The confuse works for me, but I 2 Acc's in everything + I'm usually running tactics. Sometimes the confuse graphics get hidden inside of some larger enemies. make sure your particle SFX are on as well. /macro fx1 "noparticles 0" You can use the opposite /macro fx0 "noparticles 1" to turn particles off when the screen gets too busy with SFX (like in higher level content or large teams) -
Are you talking about the Santa Boots? Look for Santa Boots. The Santa gloves don't come up sometimes based on chest costume parts apparently, or, least I couldn't find them with one costume top and have at least one other character that has them.

This is happening to me as well, but only on Everlasting. I logged into a level 40 character on Everlasting - I doubt they had been without log in for more than 40 days. When I logged out it was flagged for renaming. It wasn't flagged before I logged in. It was only flagged afterwards. * I logged back in and log back out, but it was still present. I played a character on Excelsior (no flag after logging out), went back and checked and the flag was gone on the character on Everlasting. I logged in to the same character (Character A) and logged back out and the flag is back again. Logged into Character B on Everlasting - level 34. Logged out. Now they are showing the name release policy flag; flag gone from Character A. Logged into Character C on Everlasting - level 36. Logged out. Now they are showing the flag and not Character B. Logged into Character D on Everlasting - level 29. Logged out. Now they are showing the flag and not Character C. I checked my characters on other servers last night. It was only occurring on Everlasting. Note that all of these characters are over level 5. I check all of my characters once a week to if I see any of them haven't logged in within 60 Days, and I log them in if I find them in that state. This is the first time I have seen the warning message on any of my characters. Based on the timing, I would think Winter Event related, but why on Everlasting and none of the other servers. * Never take off your mask

Take your time to go through the tutorial. Don't run DFB. Don't use x2 XP. Go to the contacts in City Hall and run the Origin arc missions. If you need some loot contact Yomo, You can play to level 50 with only SO's. You don't need to use IO set enhancements or IO's. I put 2 accuracy in any power that takes accuracy enhancements. I put 1 endurance reducer in any power that is going to be constantly toggled on. I put 1 endurance reducer in any power that cost more than 10 END. I add a slot to powers that take accuracy as soon as possible. I try to put a second slot in toggle Resistance and/or defense powers as soon as possible. By level 10 I try to put an additional slot in Stamina. By level 15 I try to put another slot in Stamina as able. I don't put more than 2 resistance and/or 2 defense in powers that take them until after level 35. The third slot on attack power depends on how much damage it does. Low damage powers get a slot for the powers SFX (-def, slow, etc.). High damage powers get damage enhances. If you have group heal powers, start with one heal, and then go with a endurance reducer if the power cost more than 10 END. Individual heals put in a recharge before the 2nd heal. Always get powers that help mitigate stun, holds, etc. Generally, the melee powers that cover this can be made pretty constant by slotting 2 recharge reductions. I usually set these on autofire. But, even on autofire, you have to pause clicking powers to let it active when it recharges. If you run the Origin arcs they aren't going to take you so far that you need travel powers early. Take your time and fight street crime. Keep your reputation on flat to begin with. Raise up the difficulty level as you feel comfortable with your powers against enemies. Don't feel bad about turning the difficulty down and resetting a mission if you are having problems with it. All enemy groups have a weakness. Watch their behavior. Just take your time and enjoy being a superhero. I know task forces are fun, but, at this point, I would suggest avoiding them for a while until you get a grip on the game or have enough friends to run them without others. There is a huge tendency to speed-run, bulldoze, and/or bull-in-the-china-shop content. Sure that can be fun, but it will rush leveling and take away from your learning curve getting used to new powers. I use a Logitech F310 controller (it is designed like a Playstation 2 controller) to play City of Heroes. If you or your friends are used to playing console games, you might want to look into controller use versus keyboard playing the game.

I like the Hollows story arcs ... more so up to the FrostFire mission (who doesn't love Frostfire?!) I like the Striga story arcs because I get to ... ah... Council. And the Hess Task Force is icing on the cake. Twinshot. why? oh, please why?! Graveyard Shift. I really want to like this. I think the story is a good concept, but the zoombies are just a bit much. I think that they were toned down at some point; I don't think I have tried running it again once they have been toned down. There are a couple of First Ward or Night Ward arcs that I'm not too keen on, but I can't remember the names. The one with the Coyote that takes you into a massive ambush by mastermind enemies is kind of out of hand for small teams especially if the team is all squishies. One of the main complaints that I hear are about arcs with multiple screens of text when taking to a contact. I'm sure some people like this, but it often seems the same feeling can be put across with fewer words. These days players are rushing to get through mission so what does that say about how much time that they want to read the contact information? + only the team leader is going to be reading the content anyway (there are a few will take time to copy-and-paste the info into /team, but that just makes the contact interaction even longer). I've written some AE arcs, but, honestly, I don't play other people's AE arcs that often. I would rather I wasn't limited to 3 arcs at a time. (I know I could ask the DEVs for more, and I know I could post my missions in the forums, but I don't want to take off my in-game mask in the forums) Farming really has put a bad taste in my mouth for the AE. And that's pretty horrible because it is a great creative tool. Many of the story arcs do this fairly correctly in City of Heroes. One think I really hate about DCUO is that everyone is talking down to your character. Having a developing relationship with a contact is important for engagement purposes. A contact showing increased trust for a player-character makes the player feel good about interacting with the contact. I think it is important to the contact to recognize aspects of the character that it can react to. This can be done in the AE; I don't know if it can be done in the game itself. I'm talking about reacting to the fact that the player is female/male, their archetype, and/or origin. This doesn't have to be done in a heavy-handed fashion, but just worked into the mix of dialog sometimes. The Clue concept is good, but I'm unsure of how many people take time to read clues. I think revelations are best revealed when talking with contacts. To me, this varies. There are story arcs that link with one another. I see this happening mainly in 2 ways. Zone-related arcs and pivotal-point-related arcs. Zone-related arcs should end with obvious advancement of the overall storyline while completing that contact's needs or knowledge of the situation. I think overall zone arcs already lead to AVs and that is where I think zone arcs should end. I don't mind this rolling into a task force like Hess in Striga. I think all the pivotal-point-related arcs should end in AVs as well. I'm aiming this at Origin arcs in particular. Getting to level 20 was supposed to be a big deal in the original game, so I think that the 15-19 Origin contacts should all have AVs at the end of their arcs. I think the same thing should happen in the Origin arcs heading into level 40 and again at level 50 (many arcs heading into level 50 have multiple AVs). I think the feeling of defeating the big bad once-and-for-all (even if they do end up showing up later) gives the player a feeling of accomplishment. I think that the contact should let the player-character know that they have done a great thing to defeat the enemy group and save the citizens of Paragon City from their criminal activities. ... and maybe tell them that they can't talk to them any more in such a way as it doesn't seem like the contact is blowing them off. And that includes any message they say when you call them from your character's inactive contact list.

How difficult would be to make AH account wide?
UltraAlt replied to MsSmart's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Think about what you are asking for from a marketing point of view? Where's @Yomo Kimyata post on this!? You could make a mule that moves from sg to sg. Joins one sg, loads up with stuff, quits the sg, gets invited to another sg, move to that sg, and dump off the goods. -
I take the easy route with this. I'm not switching my modes about all that often. When you are on a team, you generally can tell the mode you should be in for bio armor. Basically, Defense Adaptation is to be more tankery Offensive Adaption is to increase damage dealing Efficient Adaptation is for between battles and/or you are getting low on end or hp (or getting ready to use DNA Siphon and/or whenever it is more important to increase regen and recovery. Most of my staff characters (I probably should say all) are scrappers or stalkers. I use Offense when fighting, and Efficient between battle or when my character low on end and/or need to use regeneration powers. For the Staff, what kind of damage is your enemy weak against and/or what kind of secondary effect will help you in that situation? Form of Body - Executing Sky Splitter with three levels of Perfection of Body will deal additional smashing damage and grant the user a moderate resistance buff for a short time. Form of Mind - Executing Sky Splitter with three levels of Perfection of Mind will deal additional psychic damage and grant the user a moderate to hit buff for a short time. Form of Soul - Executing Sky Splitter with three levels of Perfection of Soul will deal additional energy damage and grant the user a moderate regeneration and recovery buff for a short time. I generally stay in Form of Mind because most enemies are weak against psychic damage and I like getting a to hit buff. I don't set-up my trays like most people do. I put my toggles all in one tray away from the main 3 stack. Tray one (which I usually keep as the active tray) is set with toggle to tray 2 (which has toggle to tray 1. I put tray 2 on the top of the stack. Tray 1 is hidden when not in use. These are my main click power trays. Both trays also have a macro to trigger healing inspirations. I have tray 3 in the middle of the 3 stack, and this is where I put powers that I have to click on the map or might want to activate sometimes but not all that often. It is in that 3rd tray that I put both bio armor and the staff stances (I put Domination in that tray as well). I put them in an order that I'm most likely to use them/makes sense to me mid-battle. I do a huge amount of alt-ing and positioning of powers in a way that all characters are set-up the same as much as possible is very important to keep track of/access powers in the same manner regardless of power set.
