  1. Yep. That's exactly what Farming did to the AE.
  2. A majority of the Mystic Fortunes are favorable like Secondary Mutation. However, there are negative mystic fortunes ... in the same way that secondary mutations' worst is the rikti monkey (which most of the time is pretty comical to me, to be honest). The list of powers granted by mystic fortune is here :: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Mystic_Fortune It's based on character conception to me (and/or I have not taken the time to visit the Gull to pick one way or the other, in which case I mostly deny it) Robots won't take it or accept it Science and tech characters for the most part won't take it or accept it. Mystic characters will take it and accept it. Most of my natural characters won't take it, but will accept it. If you want some extra flash when using it, use /e cardtrick Cast the mystic fortune before you throw the cards into the air.
  3. Search for it it you want to take the time to do it. bye.
  4. Honestly, did you just make an account to snipe at me?
  5. I've been playing since about a week before issue 2 dropped. I can't remember if I made a dominator during villain beta or not, but I probably did. I know I made one of at least each villain AT when the villain side went live. So, back then, it was more about playing all the ATs. Since the Sunset, it hasn't been so much about playing all the ATs, but I've made one of all of them on Homecoming since being back other than a Warshade, Arachnos Soldier, and Arachnos Widow. I'm character conception player, so it's mainly about trying to get the powers that fit my character conception. So far that means out of 136 characters 13 are dominators, and one of those non-dominators characters would not have been made as a dominator if I knew that I could get the powers I was looking for out of the dominator set. But I have to throw in, I would really like to have Whip as a dominator secondary (1 melee single target, 1 ranged single target, and one cone melee are the whip powers already in the game).... ... maybe with 1 or 2 Dual Pistols powers (including Executioner's shot) with some Street Justice powers to round out the set?! (filling in the missing ranged and melee powers that come with most Dominator sets)
  6. I don't know what level range you play in, but I have never experienced this. In my experience, teams don't need tanks. They never did. Teams don't even need melee characters. Teams don't even really need a healer. It really a matter of your playstyle and a willingness to adjust tactics based on the powers, slotting, and level of characters and the experience and skill of the player playing the characters. Do you slot it up? I do when I play a tank. You play a tank and are upset about the changes? I don't know. I'm guessing. Which is not a thing in City of Heroes even though people try to force it into that mold. It never was. It still isn't. Most tanks are solo minded even when on a team. I have honestly run into far too many tanks recently that not only don't have taunt but don't care about what is going on with the other players on the team. A tank is great when you can find a good one. It just hasn't been happening for me lately accept with close friends that know tanks have taunt and know how to use it to hold aggro ... which still can be done. I haven't had any problem holding agro and protecting my teammates when running my own tanks recently on 8 player PUGs. Honestly, I've been on plenty of teams lately with no melee and we had little or no problem with content. The changes don't appear to be an issue to me. Change level and playstyle dependent upon the composition and abilities of your team and your golden. I used to run with supergroup coalition that would run teams with just bubblers, just sonics, etc. and those teams did fine. I've run with all Symphony teams recently, and they did fine. But I agree that Trinity style gaming is very narrow minded. It gets forced into games by players even when the game didn't intend that to be a thing.
  7. oh, no! I have to slot accuracy?! I slot 2 ACC in every power with a hit check unless I can generate that accuracy boost with IO Sets and contant to-hit buffs. Oh, no! I have to save a power until I really need it instead of burning it every time it recharges!? Uh, wait. You know that they to be held until they are really needed instead of being activated as soon as they recharge. /e face palm Uh, what other powers in a set have a chance of holding an entire mob? I think I missed taking those. Are those like the extra Khelian powers that you have to scroll down the primary list to see because they go off the bottom of the page?! I'm always missing those ...because I make Kheldians so rarely. Maybe slot them up if you want them to be useful? I hear that's a thing, but you know the internet. It might be silly to think slotting +accuracy or +holds into them would do anything to help how effective they are. How about we up END use so it completely deletes the your end bar and you can't gain any END for a minute or two when you use it? That might balance out the blatant overpowering of the power. ---- I'm going to stop. I just wanted to point out what I see as flaws in this without simply /jranger'ing it.
  8. I know one main thing that people don't like about the process :: everything getting taken out of your tray and thrown back in. If a /respec could at least keep the macros in place in the trays, people wouldn't dislike it so much. For myself, I don't like respec-ing because I feel like the wrong move I make while leveling up are part of the uniqueness of the character. That isn't to say that I don't /respec sometimes. I think I have /respec'd 1-3 times since I've been on Homecoming. I usually don't play past level 50. I am pretty sure I haven't /respec'd any of the characters that I leveled to 50.
  9. Oh, jump on me and then act like I'm jumping on you? ...by someone other than the OP, doesn't display what the OP was looking for. What is your problem? Okay. I'm over it.
  10. Nope. It simply means that I don't want to have to put people on ignore, but now you are.
  11. Yep. We disagree. No more comment needed on this. Yes. I think you are crazy to think that other people would think that "I'll join" in /lfg is some kind of sin. I think a majority of players know what that means and respond to it ... most certainly most of the people that I've gamed with ... people point it out to me when I'm recruiting and don't catch it fast enough because I'm doing other recruiting stuff. I see other people that I'm teaming with catch it and recruit the people. But do your own thing. As I said from the get go. I send tells. We disagree. I won't be responding to you in regard to this. I don't want to have to put you on ignore. This must be a sore topic for you for some reason, so just let it go.
  12. Wow. They weren't the OP. I was responding to the OP, not someone replied to the OP.
  13. Can you post any pictures of what you would like it to look like? I mean my suggestion of a tail that is an extension cord with a plug on the end is a pretty obvious visual, but how the tall would attach, size, etc. would be good to help in the design of the thing.
  14. Guess what? If you wanted to be fair, you could have placed a Support Ticket. If you want to be more aggressive about it, you can PM a GM. If want to hang out your dirty laundry for everyone to see, post it in the forums. ... and ... this is nothing that the Homecoming team is going to do anything about. You can get kicked from a team, league, or supergroup and the DEVs aren't going to do anything about it. Why do you think an RPG group would be any different? By posting this here, It looks like your goal is drama more than anything else. You are dealing with a private RPG group. There are no official Homecoming RPG groups. There isn't even an "official" Homecoming RPG server. They are trying to find other people to game with, but they are very protective of what they already have. It seems that they were kind enough to communicating with you about why they did not want to let you join before showing you the door. You left the same RPG groups that they don't want to be involved with because you didn't like their behavior. How can you blame them for wanting to avoid those people that you found toxic? I tell you what. To me, you seem to be pretty toxic, self righteous, and full of hubris. Perhaps you would do best to start your own RPG group. Some people like the drama.
  15. Set the main enemies as the Skulls. You can place an escort NPC(s) in the back of a mission (the number of things you can set in an area are limited), and what type of villain group you want guarding them - they don't have to be the same as the rest of the mission. If you don't want this to show up until all the skulls are defeated, then you would need to make it a "kill all" and set it to trigger when the "kill all" is completed. Then you chain ambushes onto the completion of the escort and set what kind of villain group they are. They don't have to be the same villain group as the ones set for the mission nor the ones that were guarding the escort NPC. Different maps allow a different number of activated things in the various areas of the map. Set the main mission enemies as Skulls. I would start with setting the escorts first and see how many you can set in the back. If that meets the number you want. Set them up and make the Crey the enemy group. Setup the Crey ambushes next and set the "Mission goal is created when" to the "escort" completion with - obviously - the Crey as the enemy group. If you want the escorts only to show up after the Skulls are defeated, then I would put the "defeat all enemies" in next. Then I would go back and set the escort "Mission goal is created when" to "defeat all enemies" is completed Keep in mind the levels of the various villain groups.
  16. How is it a technicality for someone to use the /lfg to communicate with someone that is recruiting for a team and/or to reference your message per minute rate on the channel? Yeah. I understand that you do not think them being able to post quickly on the LFG verus probably trying to type out the person's name to send a tell to the that they would to join would be any more successful. I think it will up their chances of getting on the team. This is a garbage response. "I'll join" after someone posts a message recruiting for something is in no way just just saying "Yes" or some such. It is clearly stating that they would like to join the team. You can take it how you want. No one is going to have any control over that. I personally invite people to the team when they say "I'll join". But I'm just like that. Here is and I provided it for them. It isn't a direct tell to the leader, but it is a macro. Several of us also directed them that they could click on their name to get the option to send them a direct tell. They may not have known that. You are really getting argumentative with me. I don't know why other than you may want to join my ignore list. If that is the intent, just ask me to put you on my ignore list.
  17. Yep. It's necroed, but there was already a post about it and I wanted to post about my experience with whip only masterminds. My timesense is a bit shot to hades and back at this point, but I'm guessing I've been playing them while alt-ing around for about 3-4 months now. There was a more recent thread, but that directed that they didn't want to post on that thread about petless whip masterminds on that thread as it was already going on in another thread, so I hunted this one down and posted.
  18. I'm assuming if there is only 3.25 posts per minute. It is most likely to be to the last poster. I think you are working too hard to try to defend your stance.
  19. Shard culture is real. I play on all the servers. Across the all servers it seems like it's heading on 50% of the people are playing 50's at any given time. We know how a good majority of how those 50's get there. I think you are going to find players that run sub-50 content on every server. The secret is always - if you want to run a certain level content with a team, the easiest way to get people to join you is to recruit for it yourself. I say this because people have astrophobia - a fear of (the) star(s), but a large number of people are looking for a team that won't say anything but will jump (alts even) to join one. There does seem to be more bios on Everlasting than on Excelsior. There are a good number on Torchbearer and Reunion as well. (I am honestly not sure if I ever managed to get on a team or a get a team going on Indomitable) There is a migration to higher population servers. But I have seen those that have migrated and stop playing. Why? They want to find more people to play with but the grass isn't always greener and when you go to a more or most populated server, you get what comes with that territory. I have characters on Excelsior, but, honestly, for a good while now, I put more time in on Reunion and have a better time there than when on Excelsior. The people on Reunion really seem to enjoy being on a team with other people and don't have a problem expressing that. I always think that goes around comes around. If you spread the environment that you want, then you are more likely to run into it in return.
  20. Sounds like a good experiment. Let us know how it turns out. I haven't made one, because I haven't had a character conception that made me want to make one ..... yet ... .... oh, wait ... I do have an electric/electric sentinel ... I just don't have a non-electric/electric Sentinel ....
  21. So I have been experimenting with this. The key to not picking pet powers is 1) treat your teammates as your pets. (So, yes, that means trying to always team up.) 2) not expecting this to work at level 50+ 3) some point before level 50, turn off XP 4) run content sub 50 that is a comfortable level for your character Electrical Affinity seems to work really well as a secondary. You can heal, shield, and buff your teammates and yourself through the spark off a nearby teammate. I haven't used hasten in any of my petless whip masterminds. Between the whipping (enemies) and electrocuting my teammates (and enemies sometimes), my character is plenty busy, helpful, and successful on most teams. It is obviously much easier with a Tank that is actually a Tank (how can you be a tank without Taunt?! I know, don't get them started ... I'm talking about being a mastermind without pets!)
