  1. The Fir Bolg one you can end sooner by fighting the mobs out there. There is no choice but to wait in the Red Cap one. I think the Fir Bolg one is also kinda boring though.

  3. Hover is the Combat Jumping of flight though.
  4. Afaik, Praetorian ambushes can't see through stealth but still know your location and follow you. They just can't attack unless your stealth is broken.
  5. Well then there should also be a combat teleport thing where you appear behind the enemy, say "heh, nothing personal kid" and unsheathe your katana.
  6. At level 50 you will probably never run out of inspirations. You have a lot of slots and a lot of firepower to get more inspirations before they can run out. At level 20 though? You have way fewer, and kill slower. I definitely have run out on lower levels before. It's not a matter of skill. It is a matter of luck. For the record I also disagree with universal mez protection outside what we have. Not every AT is going to solo the same. It would be hard to achieve that. I'm up for the other powers, as long as the DDR is costly in power picks/not too good to take over SR's thing.
  7. Lore wise the Midnighters are doing unauthorized bootleg mending in Cim. It would be extra work, but they can make a short Ouro arc for going to Cimerora to investigate the unauthorized time meddling. It would have some alternate dialogue options if you already got the Midnighter badge where you pokerface through.
  8. Just the shield for me. The animation time is just too brutal for my tastes. My most common epic pool is Mu.

  10. I would like to add that it has an epic battle feel due to large spawns/ambushes.
  11. Sign me up. The Knives of Artemis already have back sheaths. It was cool to get their Halloween costume to play around with.

  13. My experience with Bio is that it is good enough in other aspects that it can stand to have a glaring weakness like lack of DDR. Defensive is very very rarely used afaik, so I guess it may not harm things to add it to that? I have a feeling that it will not be worth switching off of offensive still and effectively make no difference though. I'd be ok with it on WP. WP isn't bad by any means IMO, but it doesn't come with the goodies that Bio has.

  15. I'd say the hero melee AT's are better than the red side counterparts slightly. Not knowledgeable enough about other stuff to say. But scrappers are survivable enough but do more damage than stalkers or brutes outside of a farm. Tanks can hit survivability goals with no effort leaving room for building for offense, and have better AoE radii, which I think is much better for actual play. They're all pretty close though.
  16. There's a NPC that explains the basics in the Vanguard base interior. One is near the exit portal to the outside of the base. That aside, there are also the more meta raid instructions, but those vary based on who's running it. Generally this includes the order the Pylons are pursued (not a big deal, just follow the blob), which team is assigned which bombs to defuse, and the timing of the jump into the bowl (this is generally the most dangerous step). After that, just keep the mobs flowing to the center and don't block them from coming in.
  17. I always do. I only go through Breakout on my red side characters. I feel too bad about randomly killing this dude.
  18. Haven't seen anyone say this, though I have been known to be selectively blind, but please don't break more grates than necessary to get your bombs. Grates, when taunted, will pull an entire spawn. They are very very convenient to use to do pulls. Another thing you can do (on the closest grates to the bowl anyway) is put a debuff toggle on them, like the rad ones or the darkness one. This continuously aggros the mob as they TP in and automatically pulls for you as you play turret in the bowl. Personally, I like the MSR's. It's time to BS with people, and I almost always pull. I don't generally use a super survivable character for this (EM/Bio scrapper, with genetic contamination turned off since it will damage grates) so it is an exciting battle of survival against 16 level 54 EB's, bosses, and LT's at a time. I don't worry about the profit from this too much, since I market/AFK farm for that. I'm just there to BS mainly.
  19. Shouldn't the comparison be with Golden Dragonfly/Headsplitter? Soaring Dragon and Disembowel are T8's. I'm guessing Staff will look even worse though with this comparison. Personally, I took 1k Cuts on my only DB, who is a stalker, just to have more AoE outside of SS and the Sweep Combo. I don't think it is amazing, but it is decent enough.
  20. This bothers me especially on Dream Doctor. He is a mystical arcane wizard dude, and he attacks by hitting people with his wizard staff while doing the coffee grinder? WTF.
  21. DB is good even without the combo mechanics. AFAIK, some of the the best DPS chains across all the AT's ignore the combos entirely. Just get a bunch of recharge in the build and shred.
  22. Does Savage Leap work differently than Lightning Rod? IIRC LR suffers from a bad proc rate due to being a pseudo pet or something (I don't fully understand TBH). I do like tele nukes. They are so flashy.
  23. It doesn't bother me at all with EM either. On teams I have almost enough recharge to ignore the long ET. There's technically 0.something seconds before TF recharges, but whatever. Solo, I often energy punch to fill in the gap since most enemies are either dead or at a tiny sliver of health at that point. Stalkers get to experience an entire powerset with no AoE. They changed it so even missed attacks count towards your combo for DB. For TW, momentum is just on a timer, and you get it even if you miss. It's 5 seconds for any momentum building attack and 10 seconds for using build up. Personally, I don't like the lockout mechanics in general. On my Psi/ stalker, I just ignore insight period. But even then, all it does it reduce the consistency of damage. I'd rather they just get rid of the mechanic entirely and just give a small boost to damage overall instead. Insight is just unfun, random, and almost pointless.
  24. Didn't know that. I don't know my seafood well. Yeah, Bio has no DDR. This TF is suffering from that perspective, as all the melee attacks from the Cimms are also defense debuffs. I'm pretty sure my defense was in the red the entire time. I already have pretty sad S/L defense on this character for the sake of slotting for damage. My strategy is to run in and out kiting with heavy hitting attacks to whittle down mobs while my absorb is still active. I can't hit anyone really when they clump up so I pick around the edges after stringing out the mobs. I target surgeons first, then whoever is convenient.
