  1. What annoys me about Ms Lib in the RSF..WHY the hell is she targetable, when she is KO'd? I seem to constantly tab to her, instead of the 7 heroes trying to kill me.
  2. I brought this up ages ago too. It is really dumb that robbing a bank gets you not even ONE single origin enhancement. Not to mention that Mayhems, especially low level ones when powers are lacking slots, are some of the toughest missions in the game with full teams. Those ambushes just go forever (almost), and its easy to get stuck in a cycle of death, going to jail, breaking out..only to find about 500 Longbow coming into the jail to kill you..again? Kinda dickish move to be honest! Mayhems (proper ones, not from the unlockable contact) should give more money, perhaps scaling with team size. Even a reward table with cash/SOs/other stuff.
  3. Regardless of how live was.. 'designed' for teams, and 'meant' for teams are quite different now. Sure, the TFC's are designed for teams, because you NEED a team to start them. But back when patrons came out, how many villains would have been soloing them? And now every TF in the can can be started solo, so the argument can be made that the Homecoming team (i forget if the TF min members was on Live before shutdown, but I dont think so) has redesigned every single tf in the came to be soloable. Obviously not everyone can do that, but I'd also say that not everyone can solo the patron arcs either. Regardless of design or intent, Redside SHOULD get more WTF options, especially since every week blueside gets two.
  4. Posi 1 has Bosses, that's IT. Just from that, even if the devs didn't 'design' it to be solo'd, it is STILL far and away easier than any of the patron arcs. Also..proof, in writing, that patrons were built specifically with solo players in mind? I can wait.
  5. Only if a Toxic one had NO other damage type. There is no typed def to Toxic damage, so it would just check on aoe def most likely. As far as resist goes...in pvp they would not do anything major, as all epic/patron toggles now (at least they did when I last pvpd) give resistance to All.
  6. ALL the TFC task forces say Hi. Posi1 is stupidly easy (and faster than a full team) to solo, and all the others can be done very easily with lotsa ATs, or by taking some Shivens. I dont see much difference between Posi1 and any of the Patron arcs. In fact, some of the patrons (fighting seraphina for one) are much harder. Blueside already gets TWO WTF's per week as it is.
  7. It would NEVER work in a game in which most fights end up a big pile on, with most of a team very close to the action.
  8. Or it just says that you talk bullshit. Which..given the comment about Sentinels (you know, a ranged class) being more front line than stalkers, is pretty bang on.
  9. lol, SR needing perma elude. Even more lol, SR with phase shift. I see a LOT more SRs skipping elude entirely (cause really..unless your build is awful, you don't need it), so making T9s, and therefore Elude actually worth taking for the majority wouldn't be a bad thing. I do see your point there. But aside from maybe..Sr/Invul/shield and Stone (which has its own issues), all the builds on those 3 ATs are only (or at least mostly) made OP because of IOs. For instance, I'd love, love to see a fire brute go out and fight +4 vanguard, without IOs. Because they would go splat. The only really OP power set on SOs is stone. And you cant move. Claiming 3 ATs are totally fine because SOME combos, on IOs are awesome is..well..not strictly true. The ATs are fine, there are great, good and less good powersets (that can nearly all be made into great with IOs) but all the powersets with T9s have distinctly average at best powers (the T9) that rarely add anything meaningful to the set itself.
  10. I want the power corrected. Corrected to match EVERY other (bar one) -kb power in the game. ANd also to match the theme of grounded (since people keep trotting out theme as being super important, and a reason WHY elec needs to be on the ground). The power correction just happens to be in a positive direction..a buff. Look at Dark Miasma..it recently got a correction, in a negative direction.
  11. Farsight? It is a prediction. And one with a very high chance of being fact. lol, what? No really. WHAT. I don't need to argue with you after that. It is hilarious.
  12. Will it? Why? A good idea doesnt mean people will like it. There was a thread recently about improving the KB prot in Grounded, on Elec Armour. A LOT of people said no, for the 'reason' that it went against theme and made sets to samey. It was not a 'good' idea for them, but others thought it was. How do you decide which is right? Again..how do you pick? Something that is a clear improvement will be seen by others as a bad idea, a nerf, or power creep.
  13. Would DA or FA have T9s added? FA is one of the most squishy sets, out of the box. DA has lotsa tools, but end issues galore. If every other set is getting these toggle tier9s..seems a bit unfair. The end cost would have to be a totally stupid increase after that 60 secs grace period. With all the +recovery out there, with IOs, end red procs and Incarnates, people could really extend their use beyond what is intended. Just copying what you said in the OP.. 'Trying to break it. Trying to get their recovery to a point where they can sustain this new T9 power for far longer than is usually possible. ' IS that a good thing? Is it needed? ED came along and got rid of perma everything, then IOs came and let us re-perma some of those. I am not sure its really fair that someone with every recovery IO, a end red alpha, ageless AND maybe an sb buff bot can basically run their t9 far far longer than anyone else. Also, while I rarely take t9 powers (MoG if any), I for one LIKE the theme of a panic button. Especially in MoGs case, it totally feels right and fits the theme. Would MoG suddenly become a toggle? I'd much prefer the various T9s were looked at, 1 by 1, in view of teh REST of the set. In the same way MoG is utterly amazing in regen, or Icy Bastion is a great tier9 for Ice Armour. Similar to Rad and Bio (with unique mechanics). Making every set have a toggle with identical behaviour (but different stats obviously) just seems as boring as they are currently, but if a different way. Also, just cause I can't resist bringing it up, weren't you recently bemoaning a LACK of diversity in sets? Lets give them all something unique.
  14. Still takes a lot longer than getting epic access. Since that just gets handed out. Make epic access require an unlock.
  15. Yeah those are correct, but you somehow forgot that ALL those sets, aside from Elec, provide a 1000% resistance to kb/ku. So yeah, Grounded is the strongest (aside from stone) kb protection, but the weakest kb resistance. Also there are SO few things in the game that are over mag8 kb, that for all the crowing about having the 2nd highest numbers, it basically is NEVER going to come up. Very few teams below 50 and incarnates will be fighting +4 hero or av classes, and they pretty much have to be, to have any chance of actually kbing a melee. I remember back on RSF, a lvl 50 stone brute COULD get knocked back..but it was so rare, and the magnitude so low, you basically just fell over. At the very least, Grounded should have resistance to kb, when on the grond. Oh you could well be right...but the odds of that 'mistake' being fixed? Since scrappers are a far more popular AT. It would be like if Dark Armour sentinels got KB prot in their powers. All those DA scrappers (at least I know I would) would be totally pissed that a less tanky version of the same powerset suddenly has a pretty important gap covered.
  16. Since you apparently cant read..I will quote myself. You ready? Hmm. Not seeing the bit where I said they have no diversity or change in mechanics. They ARE however quite similar, in that, as I already said..heal, resist, absorb. If me saying they share 3 stats (which they clearly do), is somehow the same as saying thay have no diversity at all, or no difference in mechanics..well..not a lot I can say to that. Other than try to read what I am actually saying, not what you think I am. To bring it up AGAIN..the new sets half that KB prot, and I realllllllllllllllly cant see any new sets coming out, having a kb hole. Cause it sucks. And yes, yes, i know KB IOs exist. It STILL SUCKS. In the MM change threads, people were talking about the MM ato's being a 'tax', because you basically have to have em, to be a good MM. Paraphrasing a bit there. Now, I dont believe the ato's are a tax for MMs, but if they ARE, then fire/dark/nin and to some extent elec armour all have a tax in at least one kb IOs to slot. That's 1 taxxed slot no other armour set has! Just to bring it up again, since the point is just as valid...Stalker Nin vs Other Nin. Oh lookee, it gets kb prot (not resist, but still far better than jack shit). Why? Hmm, is it suddenly the 'theme' of a ninja scrappa/senty (cause you keep banging on about how theme is so important, given the name of grounded) to have kb prot? Go on, I will wait while you try to answer that. Or could it be the new devs went 'oh hang on, we could get rid of the worst aspect of the set?' Back to theme again, how MANY other powers do stuff that makes no sense at all? I mean, stone armour has 2 lots of anti mez and kb, but consider an earthquake or avalanche. They both move and shift earth. So surely even as a huge walking boulder, you should get knocked back at least sometime right? Right? What about SR? Super quick, like the flash. Now I could be wrong, but at least in the TV series, sure, he can dodge basically anything. But when he gets hit..he quite often falls over. Well damn, we better go ahead and change SR to, for theme reasons. Also, if similar set mechanics were SO bad, and varied ones so great..again, why have we only got 3 basic Armour types..Def/Red/Hybrid? Why do only 4 of however many NOT have knockback protection? In case you missed it Nano, the above contains sarcasm.
  17. Sarcasm is hard. I thought it was pretty obvious sarcasm. Just because you CAN fix something, doesnt mean the lack of it in the first place was a great idea (stalker nin vs scrappa/senty nin, anyone?). Awesome point. Lets KEEP adding new sets and mechanics, but not bother with changing OLD sets at all. Again, see time/nature/bio/rad/titanweaps/elec aff all having new mechanics or a huge variety of tools for almost every situation.
  18. Big difference between equalizing sets and just wanting to fix some design relics. If you are gonna cry about diversity, better go ahead and propose some changes to Axe/WM/BS/Kat, which are basically carbon copies of one another. We cant have that! Back to diversity, I find it really funny that the 2 newest armour sets (rad and bio) are quite similar, with heal/absorb/resists AND full kb prot. How much would you like to bet that no new armour sets will come out that dont have kb protection/resistance, even IF it fit the theme?
  19. ET was awful. I actually dont mind the animation..as itself. Just after the change, I was playing my Bane Spider, and doing the special veat story arc. Came up against BaB's (who uses energy melee) and he used that on me. I saw it coming 5 days early, of course, but it was SO cool I jsut stood there. ANd died. lol. It felt totally RIGHT that this super powerful sig hero should have a super fancy attack, that really got across just HOW strong he was. Then..I logged my Em brute (at the time, my fav toon) and after using ET once, I never played it again.
  20. That is still 'stealth' and enough to bug em out. Even so, ALL npc's should have a +perception power, to counter any played stealth.
  21. Interesting idea. Makes me think of Riven mods in Warframe..and how totally damn stupid they are. Getting a good one is a matter of luck, and getting a great one is even more luck, or a huge stack of rerolling (think something similar to enhancement converting). I can totally see custom IOs, converted a huge number of times to get the best stats, going for insane amounts on the MP.
  22. Good ideas. The data backs it all up. I dont really like the one ATO becoming a damage proc though. MM attacks suck (which your ideas kinda redress, but still) and I have NEVER been tempted by any, besides perhaps whip ones, cause they look awesome. But the MM themself should NOT be about doing (much) damage..so a damage proc? I dont know. Love the change for kb prot one, but something else in place of damage.
  23. Yeah. I did an all emp ITF back on Live. Not +4, but WITH everyone IOd. And it totally wasnt 'havoc.' At all. Sure, we were speeding, but havoc? Lol, no. ANd being on a Green Machine team is hardly a measure of how good the set is solo, or on SOs.
  24. I'd argue that for squishy Ats (who are NOT building for uber range def), Clarion is utterly, stupidly awesome. it may not make you unkillable, but never getting mezzed is amazing.
  25. What about more power interactions? Like...you use Absorb Pain on someone, 'empathize' with them as it were, and if they have CM applied to them already, that CM gets shared through the empathic link? That would encourgae people to actually use CM, and with the risk of AP, for the benefit of self mez prot. Granted, that wouldn't do much solo (unless you AP a wisp pet, which would be as annoyign as the elec heal).
