Share your Puns/amusing Character Names

I just can't stop. My cyberpunk SG on Excelsior currently has: Johnny Pneumatic Johnny Gnomonic Johnny Chthonic -
To OP, I just want to make sure that you understand that salvage in each category is exactly the same in terms of price and volume. I apologize if I am repeating something you already know, but when salvage (common, uncommon, rare) is put into the /AH system, it is fungible, or bucketed. If I sell an inanimate carbon rod, it goes into the pool of "common". If you bid for a spiritual essence and buy one, it comes out of that pool of "common".

I've been taking out a few Radiation Melee characters out since the IG pulse nerf. I've been having troubles with hostage missions, but couldn't figure out why until the Rescue Wormy mission. He stops on the last IG patch and waits there until the new one pops up, then he follows until the next patch. Since patches only spawn every ten seconds now, this makes things very awkward, especially if there are ambushes as well. Yes, I can turn it off, but that adds a lot to my vulnerability, especially since I also have to turn off my stealth (which at least makes logical sense). I totally understand why you wanted to nerf IG for AFK farming proc purposes, but is this throwing out the baby with the bath water?

and useless.

For regen on a brute, a few things that will really help: You can take MoG at level 30 now. It's only 15 seconds, but that's 15 seconds where you should feel pretty confident that nothing will kill you. That's enough time for one of your heals to come back, or to pop an insp. I'm a big fan of getting an additional "oh @#$@" button in the form of Unleash Potential. Totally underrated power pool, IMO. Going Soul Patron pool and taking Darkest Night at lvl 38 now will keep you safer than a cheeseburger at a vegan convention. Three lvl 53 Enzyme HOs will eventually give you the functional equivalent of 16% additional defense. And, as always, remember that Instant Healing is a proactive choice rather than a reactive choice. If you are starting to go down, it's too late to pop it. Pop it before a big battle, not in the middle of one.

If you put a chance for KD proc in a power with chance for knockdown, whenever both activate the KD mag stacks high enough to turn into KB. There are a lot of interesting things that can happen with procs!
-
For my scraxxers, I’m generally going with 3x Superior Scrapper Strike, Armageddon A/D/R boosted and proc, and FF proc. I put the FotG proc in Cleave (as well as the Critical Strikes proc) since Cleave is part of both my ST and AoE chain. Assuming you are fighting 3+ in the mob, crit strikes proc should trigger practically every time. (Lead with Cyclone and everyone is pulled next to you. You know who is now within three feet of your target next to you? Everyone.)

I had been accumulating so much stuff for so long. But I finally got to the point where I wanted to put my inf where my mouth was and to cash out before the music stopped. I'd rather sit on a huge pile of inf than have a huge pile of inventory that is worthless in a fire sale. I mean, I even opened all my Winter Packs!

How difficult would be to make AH account wide?
Yomo Kimyata replied to MsSmart's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Oh, you don't want to see that, because it's cranky. Maybe I'll monologue another time. But, as a way to demonstrate we do already have the tools available to clean up our own playpens, here's this guide again. I know, I know, you (generic you, not anyone in particular) don't want to do this. Great, but it does work, and you are certainly allowed to opt out of using this method or others that will clean up your inventory. -
Try a new Axe scrapper. You should be able to hover 7 feet above the crowd and smear them with Cleave and Pendulum at little personal risk. Easy enough to softcap ranged defense on a number of builds.
-
With a FF in both Pendulum and Axe Cyclone, it's reasonable to assume that you should have the proc activated most of the time in combat. This was a good combo before the axe changes and it's kind of ridiculous now!

If you are forgetting to activate your stances after defeats, try putting your default next to your armor toggles. Makes it easier to not overlook, especially if you tend to be in Body/Offensive. I mean, you don't forget to activate Hardened Carapace or Tough before battle, do you?
-
For you @Luminara, I'll make you a real green dress, from all the leaves in the forest, and from the skin of all the hobos you have buried there.
-
Let me get this straight. You're skipping Rage because for ten seconds after two minutes of being literally unstoppable, you're no longer unstoppable?

Endurance reduction pass on toggles

Buy this from the P2W vendor. 50k inf gets you five charges and with lots of global recharge you can make it permanent. -
Then you only need to do this twice!

I'm betting on the display bug.

"What does that sign say?" "No bare feet." "What does THAT sign say?" "No fighting." "What does it mean?" "No fighting." "You owe me one gumball machine."

I hope not, but I guess we'll find out!

I am very impressed by this paragraph, so much so that I didn't want to let it go with just a "like". Very wise.

I've been watching the "for sale" amount drop by about 200,000 over the past month or so -- either someone buying or someone taking down previous offerings. And now 20k new bids! I salute this attempt and I welcome our new inanimate carbon rod overlords.

Fifty Billion Worth of Chaos: A Market Thought Experiment
Yomo Kimyata replied to Andreah's topic in The Market
This is a really good point -- you can't forget the market is (probably) a lot bigger than you are. But at the same time, remember that there are only a few thousand active players at this point, so a few outsized actions can have repercussions. A few months ago, I decided to sell off most of my stash of purple recipes that I had been accumulating on the cheap. Probably about three thousand more or less. So I needed to pick up about 10k rare salvage, and not being a complete idiot, put in gradually increasing bids rather than buy it nao at 1mm a piece. If I didn't get filled overnight, I would increase my bid a bit and try again. Rare salvage prices went higher. Was that *because* of my increased demand? Not really, but other people who are buying lots probably noticed they weren't getting filled either and they bid higher as well and so prices increased. Then I crafted and again, not being a complete idiot, sold off thousands of purples relatively slowly. Under 100 a day. The worst thing I could have done would be to sell them all at 1 inf. The second worst thing would have been to offer them all at once at a given price. Again, other people noticed and gradually started dropping their offer prices. And again, we ask, was that *because* of me? Probably not, but people notice they aren't selling at their old prices and relist. And frankly, maybe this has nothing to do with me at all! But I notice when flows are greater or less than usual, and I have to assume that others are doing the same thing. -
