Beast Run stance as a Prestige Sprint option
SwitchFade replied to Bossk_Hogg's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Prestige movement was before power customization. -
I build all my toons for smooth level progression. Several powers are always at 5 or 6 slots by 31-33 and ready for attuned sets. I slot iO sets as early as I can, health and end by 10, and sets starting usually around 29-31, adding in more as i progress. Attuned is the way to go, except for purples, which are attuned inherent and should be +5'd at 50. So, slot em as early as you can, and build for fun and effect.

Beast Run stance as a Prestige Sprint option

You mean just the animation? Cuz that's an easy yes vote. Now, if you meant the power itself, then, no... -
Base storage is hacky. Ever notice how the lighting fluctuates when you add/remove stuff? I do believe it's being converted to a base decorations and back. Ever notice if you remove too quickly it bugs out the order on storage? There used to be tech limitations of how storage, or possibly types, could be added. This may be a current consideration.

50+ water/SR here. I don't copy and paste builds for safety reasons, but I'll give you water feedback. Geyser: you primary kablooey, shoot for 24-27 second recharge. This should be up every spawn so you can whirlpool-tidal-geyser Whirlpool: there's debate, I suggest it's not skippable, it's a big part of your damage. I have annihilation set, but I may switch to winter set with chance for immob. Slot for damage and io set bonuses Tidal: you want this up before geyser as they go together. Drop whirlpool, hit tidal, drop geyser. Steam spray: huge dps, probably one of the best comes available. Slot for damage, set io bonuses and position well. I play in melee so I tend to jump up and fire this from above, hitting everything. Water burst: also debated and sometimes skipped, I recommend take it. Slot for damage and set bonuses, it has knockup, so it keeps foes from running and improves survivability. Dehydrate: slot for damage, as slotting for heal is lackluster. Using it combined with defensive opportunity is good enough on SR, but different sets may vary. I still suggest slot for damage and set bonuses, as the heal is not very enhanceable. I skipped the T1, as the damage boost is miniscule and I prefer the opportunity from defense, it's actually a pretty substantial boost to overall healing. Alpha choice is, as always, to solve build issues or enhance low areas. In this case, as SR is so survivable, I went damage. Hybrid I went damage again, specifically the 65%chance to increase, up to 5 stacks, as this is better for a sentinel than chance to double. I chose reactive for the fire DoT, cuz... AoE. You have to experiment with set combinations, because each secondary will need a different set up to get to its full survival potential. I solo +4/8 and on teams am almost always the alpha strike absorber. Water is the bee's knees.

*/SR I been doing it wrong, need some build advice for soft cap
SwitchFade replied to Mansome's topic in Sentinel
The only really not needed power in SR is elude. Shoot for 49% to all positionals. Choose set bonuses to complement what is already there. Taking tough and weave not only is a tremendous help, but the set bonuses are fabulous. 49% resist to S/L is a highly recommended build tactic to complement any leak through., 20-30% others. My Water/SR is at 52%+ to all positionals without incarnates, no waste powers for mailing. Choose sets carefully and it's a cinch, no need to get any unwanted pools to close the gap, that's how good SR is. -

Knockback Attack! What cool stuff could KB do?
SwitchFade replied to Galaxy Brain's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm now curious and weirdly piqued to find out just how Uber KB my energy blaster can be. I will now rebuild him exclusively for KB and stun. Will I do damage?! Meh, who gives a bajeebus! Will he bring dreams of graceful floating MOBs to life? Will he bestow upon friend and foe the drunken shambling stupor of a Friday night at 2am? Oh yes, my dear sweet summer children, yes he will! Fear the KB! I will be coming to a team near you! Now playing in cinemas city-wide! -
What Is The Most Resource Efficient Way To Get KB Protection?

Gah, you dudes are slipping. Here, since no one already did... Stay in atlas, under the globe. There, no knockback and zero cost! *Bows* Also, nerf Regen. -

Scale Knockback Chance,Not Just Magnitude, Across ATs
SwitchFade replied to oedipus_tex's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I think... Random stuff. I digress. ANYHOW... Let's be Frank, he won't mind! Knockback is super annoying. It is! What can I say, troof hurts. Now, I'm cool with it mostly, I love energy blasters, not a huge deal. I love Kheldians, but I'll be a good gal darn, when PB's mass KB things out of all AoE; when stormies use Gale like a mallet at a gopher game, auto fire... You feel me. Hey, stop feeling me! 😋 Let's swing the pendulum back to the center, neh? Knockback is not as bad as it is made out to be, knockback is worse than some think it is. And! And! Knockback should be revised. That said, some of us here were a little too vigoroisly spiteful. Knockback™ it off! See what I did thurr? Really though, let's not be vengeful. Cuz you never know, even though I love you though you hurt me so... I may just pack my things and go! -
I notice, defense opportunity, that the vulnerable red text above their head is triplicated. So, this triple text happens on landing a hit and activating defensive opportunity also.

Scale Knockback Chance,Not Just Magnitude, Across ATs
SwitchFade replied to oedipus_tex's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Oh look, an empty seat! Hi, anyone sitting here? Sorry, I came in from the restroom during the opening scene. What's that? Yes, I'm hoping this flick is scary too, so many of these shows are just kind of a let down. Blood? No, I'm not so much into Gore, but I do hope we get some good thriller scenes. Yeah, of course, you can have some popcorn! Did you want a cup for your own? Now, where are my /jranger 3D glasses...? Ah, good! We started out with flame! This is great! *Munch, munch* -
As a fair point and to those dismissing the original post, you're neglecting to consider inflation. The basic premise of the OP, a sound one at that, is that flooding the market with cash instantly devalues it. What was once 10 million becomes 100 million. Now, there are levers in place to counteract this, such as winter packs and seeding, to name a few. The premise is, the longer runaway inf earning goes on, bidding on purple enhances may become the game of the ultra rich. 25 mill for Armageddon? Noep, Maybe 100mill each. Mexico found out the hard way in the past that printing more money doesn't lead to everyone having more value, it leads to the devaluation of a unit of currency as a means of exchange. Remember, one of the aspects of currency is it has a set value. When there is more of it, that value diminishes. Now, it would probably be difficult to cause that kind of inflation here, due to the afore mentioned levers and the fact I am sure the devs would react to unchecked inflation, as they did with salvage.

The REAL question is... Is it so good it's bad? Or so bad it's good?! Word up, yo.

I wonder if the animation time has to do with game mechanics? Super speed is limited to 92mph, max movement speed the game can see, essentially. I wonder if there's a required time for the server to "redraw" you at another location? If not, yeah it's a bit long. 1.7seconds seems better. Maybe 1.6.

Sorry, no vote. Teleport is teleport, not invisible super speed. Disappear and reappear. Good as is.
