  1. So is crime, and yet here we are fighting back!
  2. Pretty to look at, but I was never able to manage the geysers in the Pocket D winter zone, so there's no way I wanna play that game, or to try playing that game, when a team is waiting on me (that's not "being in such a rush"). I stopped attempting the TFs because the few running them were in "such a rush" and exhibited the worst aspects of "what do you mean you don't have all this memorized and took the Incarnate TP power, I shall now roll my eyes verbally and dramatically*" What I do recall of them, they were indeed too long. *No, not a quote, but the meaning was direct.
  3. Not on my watch.
  4. Huh, news to me, but I've never had Kheledian. I tried to move 'em about using a few different TP powers one my toon (Savage Melle, Shield, Combat TP, Spring Jump), but nothing doing. Maybe I shoulda tried porting pets into them instead. Kheldians out there? You now know what you must do. 😃
  5. I've filed two complaints on this in the past coupla days and so far haven't gotten solid responses - I'm willing to wait a bit while they hash things out behind the scenes though, so I'm not throwing them under a bus yet. But yeah, they park on top, leave an AoE on auto, pets set for Attack, then walk away and wait for someone else to come along and summon. I really wish I could gently push them off the platform like civilians can nudge players on a sidewalk. 😃 I've also one-starred the toons so I can avoid playing with them, just as I did with Halloween ToT farmers of similar tactics. (Funnily enough, I haven't seen hardly any of those folks in the near-year since. I presume people are dual-boxing this and funneling the rewards to their main accounts.)
  6. Hate the MMS if you want, but you haven't lived until you and your flying formation of killbots swoop down on some foes. (That said, I do not use it in missions)
  7. So, didn't take notes on the first sorry, but for the second:
  8. Leviathan on that is going to make for a really nice set, that's a good call and the look is also great.
  9. *ahem* Allow me to repeat myself, since you seem to have missed it; I'll bold it this time for good measure too: "hey all, I have Fold Space and like to use it, OK?" That's not asking too much. 😃
  10. Oh, I do. I just hang back and sort of coast since they're happy enough to try and do it all, why should I stand in their way on that? But I tend to drop sooner than other teams because I get bored.
  11. I do realize that consideration and casual civility are a dying art, but that first unannounced jolt away from your AoE is nothing but exasperating. I'd also argue it's a bit narcissistic to suddenly make every group of foes all about you, especially without announcing, but yeah, see my first point...
  12. Thanks for the play and the kind words! I agree about that second map being ginormous, but I like how it shrinks down for the fourth map... I didn't arrange for them to light the trees as you show up there, but might as well have (so yes, I'll take credit for that ha ha): having run through parts of this story a billion times, I've discovered that wandering Patrol-set spawn tend to pile up on trees for some reason, and the longer you're on the map, the more likely it is to happen (probably because of all that wandering, it ups the odds to hit a tree). Now I want to do a Christmas arc with Christmas lights foes to light up trees... (Also, should you want to look up other things I've posted, some I have up right now are "early works" that I made back on Live, and are much more "traditional," so don't go in expecting the same sorts of fireworks. I think they still had their points, but they're in a different lane.)
  13. Yeah, not without an announcement before you start: "hey all, I have Fold Space and like to use it, OK?" That's not asking too much. 😃
  14. Same. I plan to start doing more arcs as my chances to team seem to be evaporating, so name me one of your arcs and I'll run it.
  15. I think that's part of the problem right there: players can't speed run, farm, or get the highest rewards from "the other stuff," so few people bother with it.
  16. Those two you mention are indeed meant to be pretty short. My general design philosophy is not to stretch stuff out needlessly, which often means I'd go for whatever "tiny" map I could find and try to not clutter it up much with unneeded spawn, and the leg of the story those two tell is organically (to me anyway) pretty short. But that's me and might tastes, I can see how it might otherwise come across as jarringly short or something. Again, thanks for your input, I've been considering a few tweaks based upon it.
  17. Eh, I still don't play that way, too boring, and I do just fine. But I know I'm in the minority on this issue, the AE in Pocket D always has a number of folk there.
  18. Not to sound Snarky ha ha, but I think he's about right. A new player go walk around and check things out, or they can zap about like headless chickens with 3 kins on their team. I guess maybe I'd try and find a way to encourage them to not fall into the "farm to 50 and then slot after two hours" path, so that they get the chance to realize there's more to the game than just that. I wouldn't like penalize them "your first toon must level normally" or anything, but... it's something to think about.
  19. The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter was also a good placer to start looking at making sort of sideways fairy tales.
  20. Savage Melee/Shield. I've thought to make an Elec, but then it would feel too similar and I'd probably wander away bored as I don't farm. If I farmed I think I'd have one of everything by now and no longer play.
  21. I dislike having to rush from one foe to the next on melee toons, so I made stalker with four different combat TPs, three of which also do damage. That was pretty lazy. I love it.
  22. The Fir Bolg and Tuatha might be my favorite groups in the game because they don't make me feel like I['m fighting some doltish weird street gang, and because they just look cool. They're also barely have any backstory or current story at all to be annoyed by, but I'd like to see people try at least. I made a toon with lots of TP specifically GM hunt during the Halloween event last year (and will pull him back out this season too), so lemme tell ya, the pumpkin pie guy is still on the menu. Lots. Often. Come the season, go to the Motel Hell, help out the MM leeches parked in the center of the parking lot spamming one power steal drops and XP from the rest of the group, and pretty soon you'll also be hopping around the map to have a slice of pie, guaranteed. Even with those despicable parasites, I still find it a fun time.
  23. Curious to know which two you thought ended abruptly. I have my ideas but don't want to name them for spoiling them ha ha. If it's the ones I suspect, yeah, they were meant to be short, partly to help the whole thing go by quickly.
  24. Who said anything about burning books? "Canceling" feels a bit extreme as well. I mean, you can say whatever hateful thing you want IIRC, but you have to take it when people point out that you're being an absolute tool for it. Here, seems like a sensible enough rule to keep the place from going to the dogs. "Stopgaps" do help worse from happening and ion this case, can also signal what the mindset of the people running the show want and expect of its users.
