  1. Just looking over some wiki info briefly, it looks like the AE badges were added in Issue 14 and many were yanked in Issue 15. According to the I15 patch notes page, the badges were removed because the devs wanted AE to be focused on playing story arcs rather than grinding badges. I was not playing during that time, so there may be more to the story than that. I know a handful of those badges (e.g. the Terminator badge) have been re-purposed as "new" badges on HC.
  2. That is a good question, and I was not involved in the log parser at all so I am afraid I do not know the answer. The website owner/creator, @KeyboardKitsune, still stops by the forums occasionally and might be able to shed some light on it when next they stop by.
  3. This is definitely a known issue. I've posted about it a few times in the past, and when the /thumbtack command was in testing I posted about it on the testing discord. A dev (Faultline) responded there, and I've quoted his response below:
  4. I don't see a template for Blaster archetype (or any archetype, for that matter) in the place I know to look, which is here (in the Related Templates section). There may be other places that I don't know about, though. I think there may be a good reason that there are apparently no archetype set templates. Using the Disintegrate screenshot you posted as an example, you'd need to add not only the Blaster AT set, but also the Corruptor, Defender, and Sentinal AT sets, since all those ATs can use the Disintegrate power. And that has the potential to cause confusion for those not overly familiar with how ATOs work, since it would imply that a corruptor could use blaster/defender/sentinal ATOs in that power. A better approach might be to have a generic ATO template to indicate that the power accepts ATOs depending on one's archetype, but for consistency it would need to be added to ALL relevant powers across the board, which would be quite an undertaking.
  5. Given that there are roughly 1,200 enhancement pages (I know because I updated them all), the best approach would probably be to modify or create a template that contains the relevant information. I'll take a look at it when I get some time and see if I can come up with something logical and flexible enough to apply to all circumstances. Or, if someone else decides they want to look into this, please let me know. I'm quite familiar with these pages and would be happy to help come up with a plan and/or brainstorm ideas.
  6. I've been revisiting my youth, playing some Infocom interactive fiction games.
  7. This is meant as general advice for anyone that wants to help with the wiki, but for anything more than minor corrections here and there, it might be beneficial to join and post in the HC wiki club. That way you can avoid potentially duplicating efforts with another editor, and you can also get help with the more complex aspects of the wiki editor if needed. Also, it's not uncommon for the more experienced wiki editors to shadow new folks for a little bit, to make sure that what's been edited is accurate and consistent with the rest of the wiki. Thank you kindly for being willing to help out with the wiki!
  8. If anything, I'd recommend just removing the link in the first post, rather than replacing it with the link to my thread, especially since the popmenu has been built-in to the Beta servers for some time now. There is no freebies popmenu currently available in my thread. It mostly just stands as a record of the changes I have made to it, and perhaps it would be reasonable to link to it as source of that info, rather than a source of the actual popmenu file. The only time I post a popmenu there is when I have a beta version that I want to provide temporarily for testing. Given that I have received practically no feedback the last couple of times I have posted something, I am not sure I will continue that practice. I also have no current plans to upgrade the freebies menu, beyond routine maintenance and upkeep. I will of course continue to post in my thread whenever I do make any noteworthy changes, but my overall impression is that folks haven't been overly concerned with any of the changes I have made recently.
  9. It's not required to vary the recipe type, only the recipe level. In the Arms Dealer example, it's required to craft eleven level 35 and eleven level 40 recipes, regardless of whether they are damage or knockback recipes.
  10. I'm not sure there is strong consensus on what to do with historical data, but I lean towards getting rid of it in most cases and letting Paragon wiki be the historical snapshot if folks need it. The only real exceptions I make are for specific pages that are meant to act as snapshots of game history (like the individual issue pages or patch note pages) or in cases where an appropriate historical note can be added that captures the essence of what was removed/changed. For instance, if I am updating a badge that has changed significantly, I'll add a note. There's always the edit history, too, so the info is never really gone forever.
  11. Bases are lost when there is a character wipe, but those don't seem to happen too often. Also, the freebies menu on Brainstorm contains all the functionality of that build importer, so you have a couple of options for importing characters.
  12. Thanks for the info. Locating the center of the badge award radius was not within the scope of my data collection endeavor. While I would never guarantee that my data is 100% accurate, I did test it twice and noted that each badge was successfully awarded by travelling to the coordinates that I surveyed. That includes the four badges you mentioned (Ambitious, Citizen Cole, Guardians of Justice, Tiberian Overseer), which I tested again last night. This data is intended to be used for locating exploration badge and history plaque markers. For the purposes of the various mods that I have made using this data, I've found it suitable that each badge awards at the coordinates I surveyed. That being said, users of this data do so at their own risk, especially if it is being used for purposes other than that which I intended. I've added a disclaimer to that effect to my top post.
  13. https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Echo_Plaza The Abandoned Sewer map was altered in i25, and the mini-map was just recently updated. See the May 4, 2021 patch notes. Kings Row had some minor updates to coincide with a new story arc introduced in i27p1.
  14. Thanks! If you don't have the folders I mentioned, you can safely create them yourself.
  15. It would not be hard to create a modified version of the quickchat.mnu to display these options. Whomever made the one in the screenshot didn't pay close attention to the quick key designations in the 'Team Size' sub-menu. Edited to add that I don't intend to imply that the OP is the one who made it. To the OP, if you look in your <CoH Root Folder>\data\texts\English\menus folder and see a quickchat.mnu file there, that may be the cause of what you are seeing.
  16. In the process of updating some of my other mods, I had need of highly accurate coordinates for all the exploration badges and history plaques in the game. I have made this dataset available in the attached semicolon-delimited text file, and anyone that wishes to use this data in their own mod may feel free to do so. All I ask is that I be acknowledged for the work that went into creating it. The file is structured as follows: First column: Zone name Second column: badge/plaque marker as depicted on the most current vidiotmap for that zone. Badges are denoted as 'B' and plaques are denoted as 'P' Third column: Badge/plaque name, including any male/female/hero/villain/praetorian variants Fourth column: X value denoting position along east-west axis (see the Coordinates wiki page for more detailed explanation of in-game coordinate notation) Fifth column: Y value denoting position along vertical axis (see the Coordinates wiki page for more detailed explanation of in-game coordinate notation) Sixth column: Z value denoting position along north-south axis (see the Coordinates wiki page for more detailed explanation of in-game coordinate notation) The values in the fourth, fifth, and six columns can be used in that respective order to make the X, Y, Z coordinate triplet needed for the thumbtack command. While I won't claim that the data is 100% accurate and correct, I have tested it twice and have strong confidence in its accuracy. This data is intended to be used for locating exploration badge and history plaque markers, and use of this data outside of this intended purpose is done at the user's risk. I've also attached a couple of example screenshots showing the expected accuracy of each set of coordinates, which I measured to within a hundredth of a foot. Badge coordinates reference off the top of the center of the badge marker, and plaque coordinates reference off the center of the face of the plaque. The lone exception is the locations for the River Rat badge, which do not have physical badge markers. However, travelling to the coordinates provided for each River Rat location should be sufficient to increment the counter for the River Rat badge. If anyone finds that any of the coordinates are in error, please let me know. badge_plaque_coord_data_final.txt
  17. With Rylas' blessing (and helpful feedback), I have implemented this as a popmenu that includes a progress tracker for the relevant exploration badges and history plaques as well as an overall progress tracker for all the badges required to earn the blueside stat-enhancing accolade powers. Installation and usage instructions, as well as some screenshots of the menu, are available in the spoilered section below. Installation, Use, and Screenshots If there are any questions, comments, or if anyone notices any errors, please let me know. Thanks!
  18. Given that there are no commands to directly grant items such as inspirations, boosters, and incarnate salvage, I'm thinking of adding a section (tentatively named 'Consumables') to the freebies menu that lets the player know where to acquire such items. The player will still need to visit the vendor to obtain the desired items, but at least for those folks that are looking in the freebies menu for those items, the info they need to obtain those items will be there. For instance: Under 'Inspirations' it might say 'Luna in Ouroboros provides the highest tier single, dual, and team inspirations free of charge. The lowest tier single inspirations are available from nurses, bartenders in Pocket D, and other generic vendors for minimal inf', and below that, perhaps a command to open the Ouroboros portal. Under 'Incarnate Salvage' it might say 'Incarnate abilities do not require incarnate salvage and can be crafted free of charge from within the incarnate powers menu', and below that a command to open the incarnate window. The tentative list of items that might fit in this section includes: Inspirations Enhancement Boosters Enhancement Catalysts Enhancement Converters Enhancement Unslotters Invention Salvage Incarnate Salvage If anyone can think of any other items appropriate for this list, or if you can think of a more appropriate overall name for the section than 'Consumables', or if you have any other feedback/comments, please let me know. Thanks!
  19. From the Issue 27, Page 2 patch notes: In practical terms this means that any zone with a base portal (aside from Pocket D and Kallisti, as mentioned) can drop tour guide missions. The list of zones with a base portal was revised in Issue 27, Page 1 when the Long Range Teleporter was introduced. The list is in the Issue 27, Page 1 patch notes (about midway down, or search for 'Complete Base Portal List'). Last I heard the plan was to expand the tour guide missions to other zones with exploration badges in future issues/pages, until eventually all (or at least the vast majority) of exploration badges had accompanying tour guide missions. Tour guide missions will drop while street-sweeping in the listed zones as long as you have un-earned exploration badges in that zone.
  20. I would wager a princely sum that it is the display bug. My first encounter with this bug was quite similar. If you would like to read more and see more examples of where it crops up, this thread is dedicated to it (and there may be other threads): https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/5803-market-bug-different-items-are-sharing-sales-history
  21. Were you converting attuned IOs? The issue with Air Burst has reports going back to almost the time that HC was launched. I think the most active thread is here: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/17225-air-burst-conversion/ Not that that should discourage you from reporting bugs, of course. I merely link that in case you wanted to have a peek at some of the other observations and theories.
  22. I agree, and the cost certainly seems reasonable to me based on the numbers I saw and the work that I believe is being done. I was mostly trying to put the legal fees into perspective over time, especially given the 'sticker shock' value of the most recent entry.
  23. I did a peek back through the past 13 months of donations breakdowns (starting in June 2020). These were the legal invoices I saw (rounded to the nearest dollar): June 2020 - $132 Nov 2020 - $406 March 2021 - $622 April 2021 - $1225 June 2021 - $1823 That averages out to roughly $325 per month for that period, which is about 5-10% of the typical month's expenses (roughly eyeballing it, I didn't do a detailed tabulation of all expenses).
  24. The HC wiki Invention Salvage page includes (among other info) drop rates and specific listings of the types of salvage dropped by specific enemy groups. The Invention Salvage Tiers page has a breakdown of each salvage type by origin, rarity, and level.
  25. Creating demo files and taking screenshots definitely still works. My previous post in this thread (on Feb 12) has some links, and the HC wiki Demo Recording page also has some info about recording and playback.
