  1. Minor updates to a few maps, primarily to account for updates to the underlying vidiotmaps. Installation instructions and change log are available in the top post.
  2. The most recent updates are available at this link: Click here for updated maps General update details are available in the spoilered section below:
  3. This occurs in Mercy Island as well, and it dates back to CoV beta. I mentioned it on discord a while back and a dev explained the issue, which I quoted in the thread at this link.
  4. The first thing I would check is to make 100% sure that it is installing the update in the correct location. If you've recently updated from Tequila to the HC Launcher, make sure it is installing the update to the HC Launcher directory structure. I know that issue has come up in the past for other folks.
  5. You might be using outdated vidiotmaps. The latest updates can be found at this link. I've edited the wiki where appropriate with the updated coordinates. I would also recommend taking any info from City Info Tracker with a grain of salt, because as far as I know none of that information has been updated for Homecoming.
  6. Glad you were able to help them out! That mission is Dr. Kane's House of Horror, which is a trial that is only available when the Halloween event is active.
  7. Glad that you were able to put it to good use! It is definitely possible to load the settitle bind file using relative paths (as you demonstrated), BUT the relative path can differ depending on the launcher one is using. Using absolute paths should theoretically be launcher-independent (and thus simplify the instructions) but I don't know if it was tested on a Mac. I didn't write the parser or the instructions so my knowledge is a bit limited. Regardless, I am glad you were able to find a method that worked and I'll keep that in mind if there are Mac users in the future that run into a similar issue. The parser loading all badges but one is a quirk that several folks have run into. I wish I could explain it but I wasn't involved with the parser at all, so your guess is as good as mine there!
  8. Even back when I did drink, I almost never drank while gaming because I just didn't find the experiences particularly compatible. I quit drinking a while back, though.
  9. If folks need something Homecoming-related to do during the downtime, now would be a good time to update vidiotmaps (click this link for the latest update) if you haven't done so recently.
  10. The Rosetta stone spreadsheet says it is a combo of these 4 sounds (although to my recollection the first and third sounds stand out the most):
  11. I've been checking day job locations over the last week or so and have noticed this occurring intermittently. It seems to happen more often if I am in an area with several nearby day jobs (like the area near the base portal in Mercy Island) and I go from one day job area to the next in succession. Often after doing so, I would notice that a day job icon that should be appearing, wasn't. I seemed to be able to reliably fix it by exiting all nearby day job areas for perhaps 15-20 seconds, and then returning, but I only knew to do this because I knew there should be a day job available there.

  13. NOTE: This post is no longer actively maintained. I have started a new thread for vidiotmaps, available at the link below: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/37216-vidiotmaps-for-homecoming/ Historic post follows: In order to make finding current and future updates easier, I am going to consolidate all updates into this post. For future updates, I will link back to this post. Please refer to the general and zone-specific update logs, located in the spoilered sections at the bottom of this post, for more specific update information. The current and most up-to-date version of VidiotMaps is available via the link above. This is the recommended installation method. For those that prefer manual installation, these maps are also available via zip file on Google Drive (link removed). The zip file available at that link contains all my updated maps to date, as detailed in the zone-specific update log below. Users that do not already have VidiotMaps installed and that prefer manual installation will need to install the Issue 23 and MoreMaps4U map packs, as detailed in the first post of this thread, before installing my updated maps from the linked zip file. Since I have begun maintaining these maps, I have removed several files from the vidiotmap package that are outdated and/or no longer necessary. All users, regardless of installation method, may wish to check for these files, and remove them if they are found. <CoH Root Folder>\data\texture_library\MAPS\city\citymap.texture <CoH Root Folder>\data\texture_library\P_MAPS\P_citymap.texture <CoH Root Folder>\data\texture_library\V_MAPS\City\V_citymap.texture <CoH Root Folder>\data\texture_library\GUI\Icons\Badges\badge_count_200.texture <CoH Root Folder>\data\texture_library\GUI\Icons\Badges\v_badge_StatureBadge7.texture General Update Log Zone-Specific Update Log Future Work
  14. There are three construction sites. One in the Royal Refinery neighborhood, one in the Aqueduct neighborhood, and one in the Industrial Avenue neighborhood. There is a map on the Paladin Construction wiki page showing the location of each of these spawn sites, and vidiotmaps has been updated to reflect this information as well. The site you note in High Park is the destination point to which the newly-constructed Paladin runs, and not a construction site. You'll need to search the three sites I mentioned above to find the active construction site.
  15. Found a small break in the geometry in St Martial, in the northern end of the bayou area in the Fortune's Wheel neighborhood. Coordinates are [-883.1 14.5 -1757.3]. (And no this isn't an old screenshot, the Everlasting TFs channel just shows a really old MOTD when on Brainstorm)
  16. The best I can offer is this set of maps and this popmenu, both of which follow the shortest path for collecting all badges/plaques in a zone.
  17. When using the bind commands (in any form, including silent) directly from the popmenu, you have to, at a minimum, change zones before they take effect. You could restart the client too, but zoning works. The only workaround I have found if zoning is not a practical option is to use 'beginchat /bind' (or 'beginchat /bind_load_file' if you are loading a bind file) followed by the bind you want to use. That will populate the chat bar with the command, and you have to press 'Enter' twice to send the command to make it work. But, the binds will start working immediately. It's not ideal, but as far as I know it's the only option if you want to avoid having to zone after changing binds.
  18. Michiyo posted at 2:15 eastern on Discord that the HC wiki would be down "for a bit" while some hardware was being installed on the server.
  19. Thank you for the info, Voltor. I'll add that an updated vidiotmap was published on June 2 (the day the patch went live), so users in need of a replacement for their in-game Kings Row vidiotmap (along with several other maps that have been recently updated) can click that link. The HC wiki page for the Paladin Construction event has also been thoroughly updated to reflect the best currently available information for the event.
  20. I've added animate GIFs for the following i25 emotes: Cameraphone Despair DoubleFacepalm LieDown LookUp Shocked SLRCamera Smartphone Text WalkieTalkie and for the following costume change emotes: CCLightMagic CCRainbow That should cover all the emotes that were missing animations. If I missed one, or if one of the ones I uploaded is incorrect, please let me know!
  21. I am not sure I can definitively answer your question, but I found this in my logs (and I did verify these were from the same character): 2019-09-21 15:35:48 Your combat improves to level 25! Seek a trainer to further your abilities. 2019-09-21 16:25:49 You recovered Stephanie's ring. 2019-09-21 16:25:49 You received 25 reward merits. 2019-09-21 16:26:10 You received Wedding Band. So, my character was level 25 when he received the Wedding Band temp power. Given the time that has passed, I cannot remember if I had actually trained him to 25 by the time he completed the arc. But, at the very least, his character level was 25 at that point so I think you might be OK to get the temp power if you don't gain enough XP to hit level 26. I also noticed in my logs that I had a level 50 character that did the arc through Ouro (exemplared down to 25) and got the Wedding Band, so if it turns out you don't get it the 'normal' way, you could get it via Ouro.
  22. I'll put together a quick prototype tonight, take some screenshots, and send you a PM.
  23. This is a great idea, and quite cleverly implemented. I think it would translate well to a popmenu, including a progress tracker. If that is of interest just let me know, I am happy to help and could even work up a quick prototype. One minor editorial note: Item 3 in Founders' Falls appears to be missing the symbol indicating whether it is a badge or a plaque.
  24. To follow up on my previous post, I logged into Kings Row on Brainstorm over lunch and the spawn site near the tram became active (along with the SW spawn site). I waited for Paladin to form, then took the scenic route to the destination point in High Park, making sure to steer well clear of the AE building. Several minutes later both Paladins arrived safely at their destination. EDIT: To summarize my observations: In once instance, I followed the completed Paladin from the spawn point nearest the tram (312 yds due south of the tram to be exact), wherein Paladin ran directly under the AE building and was zapped by a police drone In a second instance, I observed a completed Paladin leave the spawn point nearest the tram, but I did not follow it, and I made a point to stay as far from the AE building as possible. That Paladin reached the destination point in High Park safely. My conclusion is that the second Paladin survived for one of three reasons: My staying away from the AE building meant that no police drones spawned at that location to zap Paladin as it passed by Paladin took a different route than the one it takes while being followed There's some other game mechanic that keeps Paladin from being zapped I think the former is the most likely, although there certainly could be some other explanation. I suspect that the Live servers will have sufficient player activity in Kings Row to maintain the presence of police drones at the AE building, so it will probably be rare for that particular Paladin to survive the run past the AE building on the Live servers.
