  1. I agree with the premise "Changes that would work in PvP, will not necessarily also work in PvE ... and vice versa. But that doesn't mean we can't evaluate a change on a change by change basis - maybe it works well in PvE, maybe it works well in PvP, maybe both, maybe neither...I'd rather appreciate it if someone who is a big PvP poster didn't come along and /jranger every PvE suggestion ever made because it might impact PvP (and this has in fact happened to the PvP'ers - changes made to PvE end up not being fully fleshed out in their PvP impacts...Let's show the same courtesy. I know you remember some bad experiences from Live, but this isn't Live, it's a new crew, and we survived Live, we can survive this... Also, chocolate is ONLY good with Peanut Butter, and Peanut Butter goes to new levels with Chocolate...The point of those commercials was that they really do belong together...
  2. Note for the Villain Only day jobs, you can earn the time toward the badge as a Vigilante, but you have to go Rogue/Villain to actually be awarded the badge...Spend 100 Hours in the Arachnos Building in Port Oakes as a Vigilante, and the Progress Bar will go all the way to 100...However, until you switch to Rogue/Villain, you won't get an actual Demagogue badge...After you switch to Rogue, the Badge appears, and if you switch back to Hero/Vig, it becomes the Professional Liar Badge...
  3. The signature TF's always spawn at the highest level of the Task Force, so no surprise on this...And at +0, outside of a signature TF, you should expect to see mobs at -1 to +1 of your level, conning blue to red, but mostly white and yellow... Now as to the OP, no clue there because there are no TF in Praetoria AFAIK...What was the mission @Panthonca7034?
  4. The only content they rolled out in the last 7 years was the Market Crash TF in Kallisti Wharf, they rolled out a new zone, Kallisti Wharf (though most of that was already done in the code before SCoRE got their hands on it), the Guardian of Forever Badge mission, and that's it... Not knocking the great work they do...and I don't think it's because they haven't gotten a "green light", but it hasn't been their passion or skill set to do much there...I would love for that to change in the future...
  5. Packers are a non-profit corporation, they are owned by fans, not the city of Green Bay...I think the largest owner (at 4%?) is Miller Beer... Oddly enough, they are completely irrelevant to this conversation, because they are not tax exempt (Non Profit is a STATE designation, Tax Exempt is a Federal Designation...usually they overlap, but in the Packers case, they do not). Packers pay all state and federal taxes, and purchasing Stock from them is NOT tax deductible...
  6. The 2 are tied together I believe (that setting defines your Name and Badge Title) - Yellow (Helper), Roleplaying (Purple), Blue (None), Can't remember what Help Me is...and then if you are on a team, it's green... I don't think they can be further customized, just the "Title" can be...but hey, I am often wrong...
  7. There are only 4 options for Display Name - Helper, Help Me, Roleplaying and None (each has it's own hard coded color)...all 4 can be set by the H command...
  8. I’m not a build expert, but as was mentioned Super Speed is suppressed during combat. So there could be value in trying to be the fastest build alive during combat by using any powers, enhancements, buffs and set bonuses that apply a run speed bonus to get as close to the speed cap (92 mph I think?) during combat
  9. Well, unless HC coughs up any specifics on how they make decisions, it's best to assume code changes are based on whims...They are hobbyists, not paid developers (at least not paid for their work here)...We aren't customers, so they owe us nothing... Ideally, the presence of these forums and a suggestions board, bug board, and pvp board, suggests that they care about our feedback. So while I assume it's whimsy, I assume it's guided whimsy... Sounds like good things coming @macskull...Happy testing, SOONtm
  10. Knockdown is just a smaller Knockback (lower magnitude) https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Knockdown Knockup is a different mechanic, but KB protection works on it as well https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Knockup
  11. I'm not piling onto you DR_Mechano, since you've already moved off this idea, but I would imagine any group like this that does anything in a public chat, would violate the Code of Conduct...
  12. Flashback Missions just use the TF mechanics...You play in the normal zones with all the normal players running around in them...The differences between flashback and running it at the normal level are 1.) You can't add players once you start the arc, 2.) You can't buy Enhancements/Insps from most places (Bartenders in Pocket D are an exception) and can't purchase from the P2W Vendor...
  13. I think the 3 events are Halloween, Winter/New Year, and Valentines. They have committed to all 3 in prior posts, and I believe it’s just a configuration for them, so no coding is needed (the events are ready to go, just need a switch flipped). There is a 4th event, Summer Blockbuster, but they have made that permanent
  14. You posted this last time there was a thread on this, and it got me to start doing the same thing!😃
  15. So I am not the only one. I went to Mercy and Port Oakes a couple weeks ago and had the same problem. I was just hunting the badges using Vidiotmaps and some of those are on the outskirts of those maps. Same issue, the waypoint on the compass was pointing as much as 60-90 degrees in the wrong direction. This was before all of the recent updates
  16. This is a very fair answer. Thank you...
  17. Only got it twice - once involved me running, Rikti Tail beneath my legs for the mission exit as fast as I could, and the second time was when I was telling my 9 yr old about it being a possible power, and poof, to his amazement I did. He was sad it only lasted a minute instead of the full 20. Anything that farts is super heroic to him
  18. Amateur sports are qualified non-profits (little league through college and the olympics), so definitely the NCAA and the IOC... FIFA and the NFL both have foundations that are tied to the business venture...the foundations are charities, I know the NFL is not, and I would assume FIFA is not either (at least not in the US)
  19. Sorry, for a second there I thought the trolling of PvP might be wrapping up on this thread, my bad... Can we just back to dupin’ rares? *pops corn for day 2 of this*
  20. Told ya'. Regardless of how bad some of their members are...just try to remember that there are some pretty bad PvE posters on these forums as well...Remember that @macskullhasn't resorted to these behaviors...
  21. Thanks for the shorter post...I appreciate it... There is no personal reward. This is a change based on location and nothing else...Personal Rewards imply some differential treatment...Don't play PvP, but walk into Bloody Bay - then you too would get a buff...If it was truly a personal reward, I would be right there with you...
  22. I'm not sure how to respond to this @srmalloy. Are you advocating for the NPC's? Are they unionizing? But seriously...the current GM command is being used as an exploit against real people in the game...It needs to go away...So what are you advocating for? My take for most people is that there are 4 things they are asking for...where do you land? CORE ASK - Reduce the interrupt time for the current Base Teleporter...clearly, it needs some interrupt to avoid being an exploit CORE ASK - Reduce the recharge time for the current Base Teleporter...something significantly less than the current 30 minutes Secondary Ask - Allow someway to Bookmark Bases, in the way that using the GM command allowed us to do when using it with a macro Nice to Have - Improve the animation, or perhaps allow customization
  23. Listen Ryan Reynolds...If it means more fun for PvP, then I am adamantly opposed to it. I don't even know where an arena is, or even what it is, but I know for darn sure, I might see one, and people inside might be having fun, while I sit here on the outside grinding away at content that the DEV's FORCE ME TO PLAY when what I really want to be doing is dupin' rares and planning a trip to the Americas...I once saw a PvP'er go into a zone and the darkness that stared back at me was so deep that I've come to believe that this whole City of Heroes thing might be just a game...or a Nemesis Plot I'm perma-haten this thread! /extreme sarcasm off...I don't play PvP so I'm fine with whatever they are fine with...so long as it isn't dupin rares, or impacting the PvE experience...
  24. I'm am not, nor should you expect anyone, to respond to your last post in any comprehensive way...it was the definition of TL;DR...Please be more succinct, if you would like to continue discussion in any meaningful way... I will respond to this tidbit however...And what is the "reward"? They aren't asking for the accolade badges...they aren't asking for accolade powers outside of the Arena or PvP zones...they aren't asking for something that some PvP'ers would get and not others...They aren't asking for anything that anyone who does NOT do PvP cares about, as has been evidenced several times in this post (by posters who would rather have dental surgery than go into a PvP zone). They are asking for all players to be treated equally in this regard...They are asking, that as PvP'ers, they get to spend more time doing PvP instead of grinding...How is that any different than DFB instead of running low level missions? How is it any different AE Farming instead of grinding through content? It's not... You coming back to this tired refrain about fairness...why do you care how much time the PvP'er spend on their build compared to PvE? How will it impact your play and your good time? You and I are not the guardians of the Dev's time...you aren't paying any more for this game than I am or the PvP'ers...We aren't their shareholders, or even their customers...they are hobbyists (at this point), and as such they can decide for themselves what amount of time they want to spend on what area. So if this the one thing a PvP'er gets in a future update, how does it break things? I'm pretty much done @Warlawk, I'll leave you be, because I don't want to spend more time repeating myself, and making you repeat yourself...But regardless of the length of the posts, this still, FEELS to me exactly what MunkiLord said: TL;DR - The Dev's will decide for themselves what allocation to give PVP'ers...PvP'ers seem to understand that's very little Dev time...Why can't the PvP'ers decide for themselves what's the most important QoL improvement so long as is doesn't impact PvE, and why do other people think they know what's better for them? P.S. - I do agree that @Dan Petrois a master of ad hominim attacks, and would suggest you do as I do, and just /ignore him on the forums...He's just going to try and get his yucks at your expense...
  25. I really, really want to give you Kudo's here @macskull. You've been hammered at on this issue for the last 24 hours...You've responded patiently, consistently, and civilly to everything that's been thrown at you...You ALMOST make me want to PvP in the game... This example, regarding the Fitness inherent is a perfect example...It's essentially the same argument you are making...again, well thought out... For all the people who worked so hard to get the accolades in PvE...they would still be there for them in PvE...nothing would be lost to them. @Kimuji's suggestion would impact those players the same as yours, either way, the accolade earned would not longer matter in the PvP zones... Anyway, I am going to like a bunch of your posts now, and I hope you get some sleep...
