  1. I think the challenge now is it's likely do or die... The deal goes thru and you'll have access to Paragon Wiki, or the deal falls apart and you won't have access to HC anymore... One way or the other, this resolves itself sooner than later...HC seems optimistic, TonyV seems optimistic, and I have no reason to know otherwise, so I am trusting them as well...

I would...having any interruption stops it from being just a "escape hatch"...Give it 9 seconds instead of 17, and it's a much better fit...I can't use it when I am surrounded about to die, but I don't need to be standing for 17 full seconds in zone for it to activate (if I have 9 seconds of breathing room in combat, I might as well have several minutes, because I can run and re position myself in a safe place... You seem (and I could be wrong) against improvements to the current base teleporter...is there a reason? .And I think @ShardWarriorwas referring to the actually animation, not the animation time (he was referring to the interrupt time, so it's both the time, and the style of the animation)...
  4. +1...It's rare that anyone does this (myself included)...kudo's! I had a response, but decided it would not be in the spirit of letting it go, especially in a public forum, and I deleted it...I PM'ed you instead...feel free to ignore/respond.

Maybe the room is full, but even on a 8 man team (or +8 if fewer than 8 on the team) a spawn won’t be larger than the aggro cap...Maybe slow down a little or mix in some pulling with the charging in? There is a separate thread here on this topic...but the long and short, in the current world, the aggro cap is the same for all characters (regardless of AT), so changing it would mean trouble for non-tanky characters.

Discuss away....I wasn’t trying to tell you to stop talking, just suggesting we move on (emotionally) from the old...why invest energy (emotional) in something that is likely a pipe dream at best, and a nightmare at worst? You’ve been polite and civil and by no means am I trying to dictate what we can talk about on this thread...
  8. It’s never going to happen...how do ensure that the right person gets access to their stuff and not someone else’s? What are the optics the first time someone accesses someone else’s account because of something missed in setting this up? How do you ensure that a large enough body of people and not just a small elite minority can recover their information? I sure as heck remember neither my username nor password from Live. And the amount of work for HC to retrofit i23 accounts to i26? The amount of work to create a recovery process and a merge process (because you’d have to move the characters from the old account/shard to your HC account/shard). And then the Help desk support for people trying to navigate a recovery process for what might be 15 year old information in some cases. They don’t have the manpower I’m not worried about payment information because that would have to be scrubbed before handing it over to HC (or it was already tokenized and it’s gone anyway). But it’s too big an effort for too little reward, and if only a few are rewarded then sadly it’ll feel to many others that they were punished (that’s not true, but we know the internet, it’s still what’ll happen). Move on, let the old die, and enjoy the new.

  12. You might want a mechanic to check on your Mission Teleporter...Mine is a 30 min cool down...same as Team Transporter... Unless there is a different one from the one sold by the nice P2W lady

  14. Yes, the nerve of people posting an idea for some kind of a change, what’s the word, oh yes, a suggestion. There should people a special place for those kind of people...some kind of suggestions/feedback forum. Then we could just ruthlessly mock anyone who had the temerity to suggest a change. /sarcasm. Seriously Redlynne, this isn’t really like you. The suggestion made would have have no negative effect on anyone. The poster certainly doesn’t seem very demanding about it (it’s not a Dev’s must do this NOW kinda of post). Why throw shade?

  16. It is an Internet forum...there will be debate, bargaining and questioning. And there is always something more to be said. It likely isn’t to change minds, but I think the existing commentary will likely have the dev’s improve the existing Base TP, so it’s worthwhile having these discussions

  18. I have seen amazing work by the HC players since this game has gone live with Bases, and sharing their bases, and running RP from their bases...Maybe you haven't seen the posts? That was well before this macro was communicated on the forums...Role Play was doing fine before this was communicated and I have zero doubt that it will be fine after this changes... Honestly, any discussion that has "if you don't do what I want, I'm going to take my toys and leave," doesn't come across as persuasive. As you mentioned, HC has already bent over backwards to provide a better RP experience than we ever had on Live... It sucks that we lose this, it's true, but it also sounds like we are going to get a better base teleporter as part of the process (which I am thankful for). Having to use a teleporter (or even a base portal) is consistent with the game, even an Ouro portal doesn't TP instantly or recharge instantly...No mechanic in this game is anything like this passcode command (no cast, no cost, no impact to health/end, no recharge time), so if anything, to be consistent for role play in the game universe it should operate like most of the game mechanics... Again, it sucks, no reason to say otherwise, and frankly, it should have been removed a long time ago before we all got used to it, because that makes it suck more...But it doesn't make HC un-friendly to RP... Bentley - I have you ignored, so feel free to respond in any way you like, I won't read it...I only responded here because I saw you quoted earlier...but I was triggered that this would "kill Role Play"

Disclaimer: I have never been and don't plan to ever be a PvP The OP didn't ruin this for anyone...This had been communicated all over the boards and the HC team seemed like they were aware of it already... PvP is a part of the game, and they deserve as much as anybody to have working game mechanics... And this isn't a nerf...This doesn't stop you from defeating bad guys any faster, or leveling any quicker, or getting influence any differently. What's a shame is that once this was shared, it wasn't immediately locked down by the Dev's so we didn't get used to it... To be transparent, I currently love and use the slash command several times a day, and I will be disappointed when it goes away...but I'm not going to blame anyone, and I don't think we should pretend that losing it going to fundamentally break the game in any way...

I wouldn't assume that...The fact that they are waiting for improvements to the Base Teleporter before locking out the slash command seems to indicate that they want to give us a better experience without the "exploityness" of the current slash command... I'm not bothered by it being an Influence sink (we need those in the game), but I do imagine we will see a shorter interrupt, shorter cooldown, and hopefully (not sure on this), an ability to still tie it to a macro so you can enter the base code automagically...Essentially the slash command, but no longer free or instant...
  21. I just checked respec prices (~300K) but the Auction house is cross shard (server doesn’t matter).
  22. I'm down with having sets sooner than later..."Perfect is the enemy of good"...I'd rather have something good now, then have perfect never, because that's often the only 2 options... Comparing the work HC does now or will do even if a deal is reached with NCSoft, to the Live Development is a false comparison - they will never have those resources.
