What Homecoming did really well was prepare for the eventual scaling down of servers... When the news burst in April, they scrambled to ensure they could take the capacity that came their way and then wisely moved to OVH. It's almost a certainty that they will have to eventually start consolidating some of the servers in the future...Player activity will drop, and given the age of the game, and that the game can't really be marketed, the need for 5 full servers will diminish...All people will eventually get bored of the "same" and given the slow pace of development, it's likely that boredom will eventually outpace excitement...4 servers will become 3 and so on... There will likely always be a dedicated fan-base (there were 3K of them when the game was played in secret, I can only imagine that number will be at least 5-10K as long as they can keep the server as public as they have been). The only thing that would really move the needle and maintain or even increase player activity (player counts and how long they play for) would be if HC can reach some kind of deal with NCSoft to allow them to develop the game and move to some kind of a true subscription model so they can have full time development...Then "excitement" might start to outpace boredom again... It's obviously does not have a financial issue...their costs can scale down very quick, and it takes very little of the player base to support the current model... As with all things...you never really know what's going to happen next, so regardless of the future outcome, if you are truly enjoying the game, play it while we have it...

The pets actually draw some aggro, I find them useful as a blaster to provide a 2nd target when I am soloing...

I have mostly just switched to buying salvage as needed...I have a few racks with 5 of every kind of uncommon and common salvage for the occasional drop I might get...but when I am doing anything more than 2 items, I just buy as needed... It's a fine suggestion, but for me, it solves a problem I don't have any longer...

Anything can be done, given enough time and resources...but, we know that Homecoming is limited on resources...Until they release a roadmap then, we really don't know what they are doing with their time, so it's impossible to say what they are capable of right now. Also, given that the community is able to do some of the lifting, and some parts of the process could likely be crowdsourced, the resources are actually broader than we might think...@malonkey1 is making a new powerset...It might never get into the game, but crowdsourcing IS possible Putting the above aside, I'd hate to "pre-judge suggestions" before they are made. Sometimes a wild and impossible suggestion sparks another idea that is doable, but would never have been thought of were it not for the crazy idea. Sometimes a crazy suggestion sparks an innovative way to do something that hadn't been thought of before to solve the problem. Finally, we have plenty of people here willing to poo-poo suggestions all thread long because someone dares to suggest it would be easy. I could suggest a spelling change to mission content, and if I said it was easy to fix, there would be 3 people here telling me how hard and impossible it is to do in the code...So I would rather not put up more barriers to suggestions and let's keep the crazy ideas coming...

We are definitely a welcoming community here...the original poster hasn't logged into the forums since June 22...Not sure we need to keep giving her advice...But it's nice that months later we still care!

You don't have Flu.x do you? It does the same thing...I haven't seen this behavior, but I can't get the Major Win10 updates and I don't have this feature yet...

Global is a global (cross shard) open chat channel, for exactly what this request is for. The only difference is that you are not automatically enrolled in it, and it’s not by default, on your chat tabs. i haven’t seen the issue you are describing. I haven’t posted there in a while, but I have never seen it convert to local
