Considering OP is a brand new account yet complained about their 5 year old characters being deleted, I'm leaning towards AI bot. Could be wrong. Gut feeling says bot, though. That or our education system has truly let us down.

I'm all for a hardcore server, but it gets baked into it's code: Every character must run a Posi 1 every level starting at 8. There will be one AI character that is automatically on your team. This character is a Kinetic Melee/Regen Scrapper, rushes the steps everytime and if you make it past that, will rush the shadows. All while yelling "For Snarky!" Good luck.

A self toggle, ala Null the Gull? Sure, it only affects you and on your terms. Imposed on everyone? Nope, keep your playstyle out of mine.

I tried it once. I made a character who's story was after each death, he'd resurrect as a random AT with random powers chosen. Ever try to take an Empathy/DP Defender through the Hollows solo? Gets tricky. If I remember correctly, I was on the 6th or 7th rebirth, had made it into Talos and got ganked by Freakshow in a mission and had enough. Never revisited that character again. Neat concept, but can get annoying fast. However, if it's a challenge you're looking for, may I suggest what I did: No START vendor powers, never team, not in a SG so no base portals, when you die you reroll with a random AT and random powersets. It's how I learned how to run the Atlas arcs faster than a DFB and get the badges plus some merit rewards.

I've been replaying TES 4: Oblivion lately while waiting on Avowed and I'd forgotten how much fun that one was! I've got @ 30ish game hours and I still haven't been to Kvatch yet.

Yeah, only your Taser Dart is an origin power. The Nemesis Staff and Sands powers have to be claimed from the START vendor.

If I'm getting a squishie/teaming character their Alpha slot, I'll auto complete the fight with the Honoree. My tougher characters? Yeah, let's rumble. My guys built for teaming? Nope. Auto complete and move on. Other than that, I keep the auto completes in the pocket for when something goes wrong on a mission (looking at you, enemy that clipped into the wall and is unhittable now).

Avowed comes out in a couple weeks and this is what I'm afraid I'm going to do the entirety of that Tuesday night.
