  1. On a more serious note, I would like to point out that Rad Melee and Broadsword (which were newly imported power sets) did indeed remove the AoEs. With this in mind, I don't think that particular statement (I acknowledge this was not the only thing you said in your case against the idea) can be held to be truth. Whoops, Atom Smasher. Wasn't thinking about that due to it being a T9 ability. However, I think you catch my drift.

  3. A few Stalker sets had their AoE removed in place of Assassin's Strike though, so this isn't really asking for anything new IMO.
  4. I can see Em on a Scrapper since that power set feels very scraperish anyway due to fast animations and quick strikes. However, SS just seems to sluggish for Scrappers for my taste.
  5. Do Stalkers really need Shadow Maul? I'm not so sure...at least at its current state. Right now, the damage has been a tad bit lowered (I think) and the cone widened and extended, but is this what Stalkers really needed? I'm starting to think that perhaps we are getting away from what Stalkers are at their core. Here are my thoughts on this... We already have Scrappers. We don't need two of them. Stalkers are supposed to be King of Single Target Burst Damage, right? Then why would Stalkers need an animation that roots them in place while that animation plays out and does repetitive damage while you wait? I think what Stalkers need is something that strikes faster and does more damage in its place. I think what was done to Eviscerate for Stalkers (and Scrappers, although I do not agree that Scrappers should have been given the same treatment on that power) should also be done with Shadow Maul for Stalker. Have the cone changed from a Cone power, to a Single Target power that animates fast (Maybe like the original ET Animation or the animation for Psionic's fast casting Assassin Strike?) with burst damage being the focus rather than Damage Over Time. I think Stalkers are becoming too much like Scrappers and as of right now there seems to be a fine line between Stalkers and Scrappers. This exception being that Scrappers have a higher damage modifier and Stalkers have a bit more controlled Critts. However, are we not starting to float away from what Stalkers were meant to be; King/Queen of Single Target Burst Damage? We have already fixed a Stalker's staying power, they no longer need to continuously (although I never played one that way, I always stuck with the fight back in those days, but I could easily look around me and see why these changes were needed, most Stalkers hit and ran in those days which wasn't very helpful to a team) strike, run, get back in to hide so that they can strike and run again. They can now stick around and fight like everyone else. However, with the new changes coming in for Dark Melee (That only really affects Scrappers/Brutes/Tanks; Stalkers don't get the Consumption power, so these changes are more for Tanks/Brutes/Scrappers) I think Stalkers should get a much needed change to Shadow Maul, that spikes harder and faster in place of it; to bring the set back to what Stalkers are supposed to be...the instant death nightmares to single targets. I'm sure I know how most will feel about this, it's tough asking people to consider something completely new like this, especially when players are completely used to what they currently have now...but give it a moment and let it sink in a bit and ask yourself, do Stalkers really need Shadow Maul in its current state?

Besides, when somebody makes a new post, the first thing that is screamed at them is, "Google is your friend, there are other threads just like this one, there was no need to make a new thread." So pretty much, they did right by posting this thread rather than start a new one as far as I am concerned. P.S. I do like the meme though! 😄

  8. Like I said earlier, most flags consist of straight lines. Any symbols inside of them would be rescaled symbols of what we already have. Straight lines and symbols in game make it pretty cut and dry.
  9. If you check back some, the current conversation leads to, "perhaps if we were given a tool to design our own flags." This opens the door to include anyone's flag and shuts down anything PC, anti-PC or political in general.

  12. Which is why I think it's stupid as being only 17. They just stand there...waiting their turn to fight you...like some cheap B-Rated movie. I know everyone is a big fan of this magical 17 number, me personally, I will never be on board with it. I never have been, I never will be. The nice round number of 30 should be the cap.
  13. They nerfed it just after issue 5 or 6, put fear in it so that mobs wouldn't just stand in it anymore. Since then they have removed the extra fear but never changed it back. I guess people like it as is now and don't want it to go back to what it was. Me personally, I hate it like it is and wish like hell it went back to what it was.
  14. I'm doing something similar with Bubbles. In my mind Bubbles are sort of a Psionic ability, so I am giving them similar sound effects. I am not finished with it yet, but once it's finished, I'll post it here. I think even @The Philotic Knight would enjoy the new mod once finished, and he's probably the biggest advocate for Bubbles that I know of. 🙂
  15. I rarely use hasten or build up and aim because of the bug. And since Blasters MUST take BU and Aim, I rarely play Blasters anymore. I did post a video at one time.
  16. Most flags consist of straight lines of various colors, some have symbols in them that we pretty much already have in game. It would be great if we could use some simple tools to create our own flag emblems. If that kind of a tool could be created (if even possible or worth the time to create) that would end a lot of problems. I'm sure not every flag would be created perfectly, but even if I could create a red and white stripe flag with a blue box with a single star in the center of it, I would be happy...so as long as everyone can create a flag that is at least close to what their country has, I think everyone could be happy with that. Far fetched I'm sure, but worth tossing the idea around.
  17. I'm old school is why. When I first played this game shortly after opening day, if you wanted to play Super Strength, you rolled a Tank, if you wanted Dark Melee, you rolled a Scrapper, if you wanted to play Dark Armor, you rolled a Scrapper and so forth and if you wanted Fire Armor, you rolled a Tank. Now it is getting to a point that it doesn't matter what you roll, you can play whatever power you want to. I never wanted to see the game turn in to this. I was even a bit disappointed that Villains were basically mirror copies of heroes. Very few unique powers. Now that doesn't even matter because now you can play villain rolls as heroes. So as you can see from my point of view, what once made AT's and Factions unique, no longer have much of a point...and the more power sets that get shared between AT's, the less unique they become. However, I recognize that I am pretty much the only forum poster who feels this way, so I am out numbered by 10,000 to 1 here. Not much place left for us old timers I guess.

  19. Apparently once again I am just the opposite as the rest of the community, but I for one would HATE to see SS on Scrappers. I should have suggested this first so the community can disagree with me, lol.

  21. Well, for starters, it would probably be extremely helpful if a Dev chimed in at some point and gave everyone an idea of how difficult or easy it would be to implement flag emblems. If it's something that would be relatively easy, then I would say that the "case by case" basis would be a realistic view point. However, if they would be difficult to implement, then obviously we would just drop the whole idea and shake on it. 🙂
  22. So we just don't do any flags, is that it? Like I said before, if somebody from a smaller country wanted their flag represented, they would post it here. In other words, I covered this.
