  1. I have both time/ defender and /time corrupter at lvl 50 fully incarnated and IOed, and I can tell you its actually even easier at 50 than before once you are set IO slotted. A good build and IO setup will give you softcap to all def positions (45%) once power boost or clarion is applied to farsight pre cast. That means you can tank all you want, solo or in teams as you are self contained in def buffing, just refresh your powerboosted/clarion farsight before the buff wears off- which is easy since farsight is a 2 min buff and clarion is a 2 min timer. No need for additional players to provide maneuvers, no need for anything outside of your own build and slotting. You just need powerboost from a epic set, or clarion from your destiny incarnate. Its really one of the best buffs in game.
  2. im really liking the new trip mine. I slotted the overwhelming force kb-kd IO in it on top of a 5 pc Armageddon, and its a very handy little toe bomb that acts as a pbaoe cast since theres no more interrupt to worry about. This was a very positive change to the /dev set and was probably the most impactful overall on how the set plays in combat now.
  3. Everything i worried about when i heard the taunt was being put in is exactly what has come to pass... a flimsy pet that already had trouble staying alive to deal any damage is now dead within seconds of casting because it aoe taunts (while still having only pitiful single target dot damage itself, poor resists, and no def/hps or real mitigation of any type) I am built to withstand hits through my softcapped def and resist shields, but unfortunately my drone now thinks its the tank and pulls my aggro before doing much of any damage itself, which is the only purpose of the drone, additional damage. its no longer worth the time it takes to cast it. To sum up, the gun drone changes are terrible. I would like to see it either reverted to its old bad but not terrible self, or actually improved with more attacks and higher damage and remove the taunt aura, or buff the mitigation of it and leave the pitiful damage as is, and make it a mini tankbot. But currently its neither a dps or tank pet, its just bad at everything.
  4. You also should very certainly take build momentum, regardless of attack chain, because that power is the fulcrum of the whole set- allowing you momentum when at zero, then building momentum naturally, then clicking build again- its a cycle you need to get familiar with as early as possible.
  5. If you want to get into those crazy silly dom tricks at high lvl like soloing TFs and making Avs your little puppy, then you want both confuses, both sleeps, the aoe hold is optional due to its long rech time. I always take the fear cone as well, it is a powerful soft control tool. Psi lance is your hardest hitter, mind probe is your best melee, and psy shockwave is mandatory for its overall damage and how well it plays with domination in effect. If you like more aoe then you can use the scream cone, or if you want more single target subdue does good damage and has immob as a secondary effect, outside of probe, lance, and shockwave the rest is dealers choice. Drain psyche is your -regen on hard targets, with the bonus of +regen to you, but for the most part this is a debuff rather than worrying about hitting 10 targets with it everytime to buff yourself. the regen is nice, but your control is so good you rarely get hit so the power really ends up being used to soften them up rather than heal you. You should probably slot this for heal, end is not an issue with perma dom, and heal sets offer more +rech bonus. Positional defenses are great, but your shield is going to be typed, so getting to caps on typed makes more sense, and requires less slotting sacrifices.
  6. The thing to remember about hasten is its merely a tool to get to the recharge numbers you want to get your rotation and longer recharging powers down to a manageable level. if Raths build gets by without it because he has designs on the stealth pool for def purposes, then thats fine in terms of overall build viability and performance. I personally rate hasten very high in all builds, because the 70% rech is greater than the 7.5% global id get from a mule power in the stealth pool and the def I can usually squeeze out in other ways, but if this particular build works with 106% recharge instead of 150%+ recharge, then more power to it. Stealth is a pretty handy power now that the movement penalty is gone, although for def purposes, once it suppresses you only get a small boost in combat, which could possibly be replaced with agility incarnate if thats not already in play. I think the overall consideration is always what you are trying to accomplish with a build, so if the extra rech% you get from hasten doesnt outweigh the benefits of the stealth pool in this particular case, theres no set in stone rule that hasten is always > stealth.
  7. Im not sure why the fun police would need to come in riot gear to bash down sets that in specific combos at end game overperform other sets in a game that already has a limited population and playerbase, driving away people from their enjoyed ATs just doesnt make any sense to me. the games back, its fun, no need for perfect balance or taking away the things that are enjoyable. If things arent enjoyable, then by all means make them so (dev time permitting), but crying for nerfs just makes no sense in the big picture of where this game is at.
  8. Do Oro arcs with enemies buffed, players debuffed, and enhancements have no effect turned on using +4/8. enjoy the challenge. Theres always ways of artificially creating challenge, you make rules for yourself not to slot powers, you dont ever use insp, you pick non ideal powersets, etc. So if its something non standard you are looking for, its not hard at all to engineer a challenge yourself.
  9. Guns, hiking and camping, backpacking, watching baseball, basketball and football, and coaching baseball and basketball youth teams is how i usually fill my weekends. Weekdays is sleep, work, eat repeat. With computer or occasional playstation games, and practices for the kids mixed in between the eat and sleep portions.
  10. Ive actually noticed a marked lack of damage on my ill/dark as well. I havent power analyzed but this might explain the "feeling" im getting of simply not doing damage as I remember Illusions putting out.
  11. I believe cap powerhouse stated the disintegrate effect being initiated by powers not named disintegrate is a bug, the spread % of the disintegrate was increased in those powers, and it triggered them to actually apply the effect as well as spread it I think. So dont go speccing out of Disintegrate quite yet, it sounds like a known issue that is going to be corrected.
  12. Like Bopper said above, stealth IO is much better placed in sprint for this purpose, leaving hover free for a def IO slotting. Rule of thumb for stealth combos: Stealth + stealth IO= invis to mobs Super speed + Stealth IO= invis to mobs Base grant invisibilty crafted buff + stealth Io = invis to mobs (while the buff lasts) Stealth IO alone= reduced threat range, but not invis where you can stand next to mobs and not be attacked.
  13. grab yourself some envenomed daggers from the PTW vendor as well. those will help on damage vs the EB. Use base buffs by converting your salvage. Use confuse on the EB to start the fight, you should be able to confuse him and hit him for a while with no retaliation. If there are mobs near him, confuse those into attacking him. And like the poster above said- use mez to sleep him if you are getting overwhelmed and heal up. As a mind dom, you have the tools to break through triangles, stack up on insp and use your tools and outside buffs and you can make it work.
  14. Was gun drone going to get a Hp boost or some increase in durability? this thing is fragile, I dont expect it will last more than the time taken to cast it now if its taunting enemies.
  15. is the 1787% regen number accurate in mids? Where does all that regen come from if so- conditioning? Thats insane levels of passive regen.
  16. ahh fair enough, I didnt even consider end drain was an angle. I go for hp drain as my debuff of choice. And more rech is never a bad thing, i just find nerve adds more overall to my dom than agility- but then again my dom is mind so it gains acc/hold and confuse benefits from nerve.
  17. I can personally attest to rad melee being a "proc blender" as my live build has irradiated ground fully proc slotted and it simply chews up herds. I tested it with a friend who had traditional damage slotting in his IG, and the results were pretty significant in favor of the procced out version.
  18. While i am a strong proponent of heavy recharge builds on doms to make keeping perma dom up easy, and allow for double stacked domination more uptime, I dont think its necessary to have drain psyche on perma by choosing agility over nerve. nerve simply has more benefit to a dom in most cases, because End is not an issue and Nerve provides the same def bonus, in addition to acc and hold. Drain Psyche is a nice tool to pop when a big spawn is gathered, but it is situational to get the full effect, most of the time you have much less than a full spawn to work with. So the regen numbers from drain psyche are not going to be maxxed out the great majority of your time in game, making it nice to have up, but not 100% needed when you should probably focus on def instead and pop greens here and there as needed. I have a 5-10 sec downtime on my drain psyche and honestly never once have I thought I needed it and it wasnt up. Because my capped def makes me hard to hit, and I have already locked down the mobs before they can do much damage anyways. So while nice, perma drain psyche is something i consider very niche compared to perma dom and perma hasten which are near mandatory on doms. To get that extra rech by limiting my alpha choice to agility makes my overall build weaker over picking nerve and having the acc and hold benefits which affect my gameplay far more often.
  19. Im not sure why you would need to do this, as others have pointed out the market itself will attune your enhancements- just sell the crafted ones you make, and rebuy off the market attuned to save the catalyst/unslotter cost and a hell of a lot of fiddling around making and leveling an alt to 50 just to do what is already available for much cheaper and more efficient with the market tools in game.
  20. I like getting on a team of friends or even new players i havent teamed with before and having a little friendly banter. I generally run the same type of content -speed TFs, iTrials, Hami raids etc, and honestly its just going through the motions to get the tasks done, so its mainly fun to yuk it up and talk trash. I do enjoy exemping down and joining random Tfs alot as well, especially for weekly targets since theres such a wide variety of people who do them- maxxed incarnates, non shifted 50s, characters on the way to 50, and even the occasional noob who doesnt even know what were doing, but saw the LFG invitation and asked to join. sometimes you have to carry the whole team, and other times you get to just see what other people are running. But always the banter is what makes me laugh. Theres some interesting folks in this game.
  21. What a shame that one of the best QoL features on the homecoming server turns out to be an exploit. I can see the issue with players abusing it in pvp or MO runs which is not intended (or cool) but from a daily convenience and making the game even more enjoyable to play standpoint, its a really great feature, and hopefully the solution can involve a compromise of keeping the good, and removing the bad aspects of using it.
  22. Yeah because 999 out of the 1100 people who picked super strength find the mechanic broken and terrible they must all be wrong and clearly you are right. apparently not enjoying standing around for 10 seconds every minute in trade for mediocre performance is lazy. Just to be clear, I have hated rage since live, because -9999% damage should never be a mechanic in the game, and now with the -def penalty on top its just crap flavored icing on a poop flavored cake. But anyways, we can agree to disagree in that thread. It is interesting to see the numbers on how many picked ss, I truly wonder how many actually play the toons still after hitting 50, and how many of those play without rage at all to avoid the badly thought out mechanics. I know I rarely if ever play mine anymore, and every time I do I think of how I could be playing one of the many fun characters I have instead and performing better to boot. Cool animations, iconic powerset. Terrible +dam mechanic. What a shame, really.
  23. Also why theres 3x as many people complaining about it being crap in that thread. People play it because they wanted it to be fun, it not being fun is because it has a crap mechanic, hence theres hundreds of people out of the thousand who chose it complaining on the forum. The rest just dont post. Apologist and talk around it not being bad all you want. its still bad. Its just bad for a lot of people, which is why theres a huge thread on it being bad.
  24. influence and drops. Once lvl 50/vet lvl 100/or dont care about vet lvls because already tier 4 incarnates- double influence while exemp farming for 2x influ and drops.
