Some judges run with cell shader and some don't. I wouldn't be able to speak to everyone's graphics settings. We usually try to do an AM/PM light setting on each shard. I've never done a CC before and I have a costume that I think fits the theme well, but I couldn't stay much past 5:30 or so. Back in the days of Yore (ie: Last year, during the population lull), the turn outs were less than 20 people sometimes. THOSE contests flew by quickly! The last two? Hoo-geez! I can't speak for other Shards, but there were so many people on Everlasting that it took quite a while to get to the winner announcement, and that was with the two GMs moving at a very brisk pace as they glanced at the various contestants. They can run anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour depending on the people that show up.
