With the new changes to group, my MMs perform even better than ever, and it's no longer quite so much a niche travel power.

 

Took my pets (Bots and Demons)  out for a spin, none of them dropped from the air like season 8 Game of Thrones ratings, no matter how far I flew. Pretty fast, as well.

 

Also, cleaning up the erroneous -Accuracy text is helpful. Haters take a back seat, me and my flying pets are on our way to a group near you!

 

Anyone else happy with the changes? Anyone else considering taking group fly where before you would have just passed it on by?

Group fly with zombies is recommended as a the bucket list item by 9 out of 10 doctors. Including Dr. Vahzilok.

Flying Merc are still weak sauce, but safer....for them...not the MM.

I am content that my Robots jet feet are now useful for more than hanging out in Pocket D. Having Group Fly actually be a useful group travel power for my pets is intensely satisfying.

I took the power for my robots MM too!

 

But... I just can't use it in group play... there is always some boring person to complain about...

 

Soon or later I will go f'up mode and just tell them to visit Null >.> because bots on ground are really easy to get stuck somewhere or even in mid of party members.

Same here been complaining about group fly since it came out..  

I just wish they would not make it incumbent on players to disable group fly via Null the Gull. 
I would rather they reverse it. Visit Null the Gull if you want it on.. This would just stop the b!tching all together and stop making the player the enemy of the other player.

I am SO happy about the fixes to group fly!  My demons are adorable flying along behind me, and they don't drop out of the sky if I fly too fast (i.e. if I fly  at all).  So far, I have only enjoyed this wonderful upgrade solo; I really do feel bad that others have to visit Null to turn off Group Fly (even though I turn it off on all my toons because I can't stand being "flown" against my will).

 

I see all-flight MM ITFs on the horizon and can't wait!

For my Bots/time MM, Group Flight has become a godsend.  The bots react and move faster when you have Group fly on, especially in the middle of the 'Bowl' in an MSR raid.  No longer do they have to wade through Rikti to get close to the group, now they can fly over the group.  PLUS, because of Group Flight, MMs are now viable in a Hami raid, as well as the pylon phase of the MSR.

Making a Robot MM and have a question... On a normal flying toon with the changes I'd take fly, hover, and evasive manuvers. If I want group fly for bots would it be best to skip just fly? What do you all choose?

I personally keep Fly, as it is faster by a smidge and has some ther benefits, after the travel patch, but I could see dropping it if needed. I have yet to have anyone ignorant enough about the power or too lazy to use  Null the Gull  yell or  threaten to kick me when using Group Fly since the improvement, but it has happened in the past, sadly, so it's a backup power also in the event I'm on an MSR or TF and I get flak for using it. 

 

Dropping Fly means losing Afterburner, but flight is so fast these days I don't really notice it when used.

Looking to make a Group Fly Robot flying fortress. But that endurance drain is so darn high.

I was of course thinking FF myself but I really do like Trick Arrow all around good mix. In both builds Endurance is covered with all the bonuses. My current rule of thumb ( that was given to me by another poster LONG AGO ) is recovery has to be 2 points higher then usage.
