  1. I always disconnect my map right away and stick it in the upper right hand corner, just as an aside, and don't think I've ever not had a zoom slider. But this might be enough for it to reset (or whatever) the window to give the zoom control back.
  2. Eh. No real reason to make them levelless, really. They're there for a badge (well, two.) Besides, being able to *out*level them helps for some characters.
  3. Sounds like someone who was just going to be negative. "This isn't the COH I remember?" Most of the base stuff is. If he left in issue 10 and came back in issue 15, it wouldn't have been "the COH they remember" either. Don't let it bother you.
  4. Yeah, I just ran around a few zones, making sure to include founders falls (the map in question here,) and they all had the zoom slider on the right. Think my next steps would be "Zone, see if it changes. If not, log off/on. If that still doesn't do it, verify your files from the launcher." Edit: Since the OP replied - I actually wouldn' twant it to fill the window, primarily because of the way it already acts in some maps (or has, I can't recall if that was fixed.) I tend to associate it with Cimerora maps, since that's where I see it most, where the map *starts out* already too zoomed in. One of the more annoying little things to me... I'd hate to have it do that everywhere. Especially if you can't zoom out because it's bugged like what you're seeing.
  5. Pfft. Telling us we're not crazy. I *know* you're wrong there.
  6. Pfft, make a medium mastermind, people will want a high and low mastermind too. Then those won't be good enough, we'll need a supersized mastermind, a vente mastermind (all coffee attacks,) it'll be madness! On the serious side, I wouldn't mind, though Propel feels... weird to me in this. Not sure what I'd put in its place.
  7. So, I get a character, level them to 41. I now can't hunt glowies in FF, I've outleveled the zone. I now practically can't hunt them in PI, since I'm 41 and the mobs will be 50. Said character - and most characters, I'd say - can now not practically play the event without begging for teams. Not controversial, just ... not good.
  8. So when I set up certain characters, I tend to want to watch the same things. Or just have a basic "XP to next level, level shift, inf" window. And of course, with some recent tweaks to what shows up in the power monitoring window, some of my windows have changed - some show "gravity" (which is irrelevant to me,) some do the thing where there are suddenly huge gaps and blank spots where stuff I used to have set up to monitor would be. Would it be possible to have a /save_monitor (filename) and /load_monitor (filename) like we do for so many other things? (Filename, of course, would be optional.) (Talking about this window: )
  9. So, looking at one of my bots MMs, I noticed they were all marked as invalid. Wanted to change colors on them anyway, so I went in to fix it. Nothing *looked* invalid, changed the colors, saved the costume. (All slots on this one currently have the same costume.) Went to load it on another character - invalid part , it doesn't have access to part (13, right weapon) - the Shard Cannon. (Which it shows properly in the preview.) Costume fix changes the weapon to the default old-AR weapon. I can switch it back, but it's apparently using (I'd assume) the old location or an invalid location in the save file for the gun - I'm assuming from an update. .costume file has it listed thusly: CostumePart "" { Fx WEAPONS/Custom_AssaultRifle/Fem_AssaultRifle_Shard_Cannon_01.fx Geometry None Texture1 None Texture2 None DisplayName P2098554993 RegionName Weapons BodySetName Weapons Color1 255, 169, 0 Color2 255, 103, 28 Color3 255, 169, 0 Color4 255, 103, 28 } broken-mastermind-gun.costume
  10. So, messing around with the event I ended up getting these temps - one to go monochrome, one to go sepia tone. I actually have characters this would be *really* fitting for. (Including one that's a black and white photograph come to life.) Would it be possible to have these as P2W or otherwise long-term temp powers? A bit niche, sure, but I could also see - if we can't pick the effect for it - suggesting using them in spots in AE arcs for the sake of atmosphere, for instance.
  11. If they could add things like holding cell doors and COT crystals to the "do not show" list, I'd be thrilled.
  12. If you do - don't recall if it's Tina or Unai's arc - there are two missions relating to this - these guys were taken by the Rikti and used as troops.
  13. Eh. My big thing with mice is either the cord (though they're gettting better at strain relief) or the right mouse button. So I bought some spares and am starting to just replace the internal button when it starts not behaving.
  14. EEEEK... all the naked Rikti... *looks for eye bleach*
  15. I'd say this is a place where the lore takes a back seat to game mechanics. There's a *tiny* bit of lore, sure (Vanguard are aware of the "new" (as opposed to when it was the Rikti Crash Site) generators, etc.) but otherwise it's a thin coat of lore flavor (maybe hazelnut) over a repeatable game event. Realistically, there's no way that (for instance) every December Trixie over on Everlasting can run "the smushening" with 10+ MSR runs back to back as an actual, "this happens within game lore and canon." (Yes, this is a thing.) Just like Perez Park likely wouldn't have hundreds if not thousands of gang members just standing around in groups constantly so you could run back and forth and street sweep, or the task forces wouldn't have "oh no, what a surprise, the exact same thing happened witht he last group I sent out five minutes before you, and will happen again if you want to run it when you finish this run." The events of the RWZ arcs (and other Rikti arcs) and LGTF happen as well, sure, but just once (and don't rely on an MSR.)
  16. ... isn't that actually backwards, or am I remembering the lore wrong...
  17. You can get the @global already... just /geglobalname whatsisface and it will return @thatguyoverthere or whatever the global is. You can then email them. Just so you know. (Also, frankly, I'm still of the mind that it'd be better to free/not free by account. But that's apparently a no go.)
  18. 70? ... yeah, I've slowed down a bit, but still. Just the login for anniversary badges is a process. (The other servers... maybe up to 3.)
  19. OK. Show of hands, how many people are using an "easy to remember" password... That is likely used, or has something similar used, elsewhere? Or, perhaps, logs on to the forum with it - which means someone with that ID/PW can easily post a link to a malicious site, so that other people get compromised with more *important* things... like bank information? That's actually more the security risk. Yeah, your character gets deleted, sad for you. But if they've gotten to *that* text file, what other access has been gotten on the system? While you're worrying about a deleted character, the *rest* of your identity, money, etc. could be getting taken. And before anyone chimes in with "but I use a password manager," well, I support a hospital network, and "Why can't I just use the same password" and "I just change the number at the end usually" are things I hear *way* too often.
  20. Ehh... depends on what the OP wants. If you're just looking at stabbing, etc. with a spear? Yeah, sort of. If they're looking at a mix of melee and range (thrown spears,) basically describing an Assault set, not so much. (Essentially ... *roughly* the "javazon" from D2.) Though my mind, of course, goes "wait, if you're fighting/blocking with a long spear... what if it breaks?" and immediately, well...
  21. Just use Jim. 'Cause you don't mess around with Jim.
  22. Shards are generally useless and IMHO should just be done away with. Threads... yeah, super inspirations. (If you do MSRs and use fold space? They're *really* useful there... and you will go through at least 8 of the Super! inspirations in the bowl. Probably my biggest thread-burner when I get in the mood to keep doing those.)
  23. *waves from being a renamed memphis_bill.* 😉
  24. Regardless, given just how much of a boost it gives dominators, it's still a perfectly fine tradeoff. In all the time I've played them, I can't think of a single instance where that second-and-a-sliver ended up making a whit of difference.
  25. With the recharge time shortened by being on a team *and* by global recharge.
