  1. My MA/WP scrapper. I just really like the MA animations, and the speed of the abilities (except for Eagle's Claw but I'll deal). WP is just a nice, low maintenance set. The whole thing just clicks, and when I try another character for a while, and go back to this one, I'm quickly reminded why I like this char so much.
  2. I can only speak from my experience which is PC and Android. For a PC I'd go with MusicBee: https://getmusicbee.com/downloads/ - I liked iTunes but hated how poorly it ran on PCs so this was almost as good. With many skins and a lot of customization options you can do a lot. For android, that's tougher. As I ride the subways a lot and the internet connection is spotty at best, streaming wasn't an option at all. So for my standalone music player for android, I like PowerAmp (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer&hl=en_US&gl=US). That's the trial version, but it's good enough, and I use it enough that I bought the full unlocked version.
  3. Probably Goku. After enough yelling and flashing lights, he'd find a color combination for his firey glowy aura that would work.
  4. It depends on the situation and what you're applying for and who the targeted applicants are. A friend of mine years ago asked if they should have put on their resume that they lead raids in WoW. Due to the lack of real-world experience this person had, I advised them to add it, if for the sole purpose was to get the interviewer to ask, "Why did you add this?" Then you can elaborate, and show a leadership type quality that may help you stand out vs. other people in a similar position than yours. The idea was if you can organize, explain roles and strategies, and delegate assignments for 40 people (later 25) through a VOIP system, that may look good to the recruiter. Of course, that would depend on the recruiter as well.
  5. So I had the chance to visit all these bases, and each and every one of them is very impressive in their own right. So many times I looked at something and thought "I had no idea you could do that". Kudos to you all, and I surely didn't envy the judges to determine the outcome of this.
  6. It depends. Cosmetic only items I'm not a fan of a steep unlock requirement. Things that increase the capabilities of my character, yes. This is to say I am a big fan of the gear treadmill, with the requirement to unlock said gear (or whatever the item(s) is/are which increases your character's capabilities) should be proportional to the strength of the item. But like was said, there should be multiple avenues to get these items. Drop and either a crafting requirement or purchasable by in-game currency. Whether you purchase the item, materials and recipe(s) to craft the items or any other alternative means than just mere RNG while faming for that item to drop.
  7. I will be surprised if this game sees the light of day.
  8. There are two things I use for naming my characters. So if I make a fire character I may want to name him Ignis. May be taken. Ignys. Maybe make the character female: Ignysse. Or Eygnis. Or I'll just break out google translator. Fire in Bosnian (according to google translate) is Vatra. Or in Icelandic - Eldur. Both work for me.
  9. The sapper you didn't see is the dangerous one. Check around corners - especially in "those" areas of door missions.
  10. I really like FF14, and have a 60 ninja. I think he's 60. I do like the game but I find it requires too much time than I'm willing to put into it right now. And the constant nodding. I was tempted to rename my char to SirNodsAlot because that's what he does.
  11. What I think I'd do is let her pick out what type of char she wants and powers, and base your character off of that. Most tanks will be fine (like was said, take taunt ASAP). You can do the classic Inv/SS tank though because that will work with almost anything she chooses theme wise.
  12. OK. I'm sure I'll repeat other people's suggestions, but here goes. Adjustable UI snap grid. Not many levels, maybe 2x2 5x5 10x10. Window docks. Allow windows to be docked to and undocked from each other and that whole window dock cluster moveable as a group. Windowed netgraph (moveable, scalable). Target of target. If this is actually in the game, I haven't found it. Assist window. This can either be another player, a player's target or a target set by the RL. Threat meter. This is the only meter I'll be all right with unless you count the netgraph which I suppose is a meter also. Raid announcement notification on screen and in chat. A temporary powers tray. Basically this is another toolbar that temp powers go to. It is always on if the active mission you are on requires it and that power goes into slot 1 on the first bar with other powers going into subsequent bar pages. That's all 😉 Well, you asked.
  13. My wallpaper shuffles through about 20 images. The one it's currently on is:
  14. I'm not a dev (obvi) but here's my take. Yes there's power creep. I think the answer is to tune up mobs than nerf sets or incarnate. It's probably easier.
  15. I'm thinking something different with Regen. First I think it should be available to all ATs - other than Arachnos and PB/WS. Of course, instant healing should be changed but here's my idea on this power: Make IH do a heal based upon the damage you do. On Tanks, because Regen's the primary, the heal is stronger than chars who have regen as a secondary. But, overhealing will apply a HP buffer over you max HP for damage absorption. So your blaster's 100 damage attack at full health will give you say, 10 HP, barrier unslotted, which would be stackable for a very short time, up to a % (30%?) of your total health. This barrier will start to diminish after a certain amount of inactivity. I'm just thinking as I type, the numbers can be adjusted of course. And maybe the heal can be based upon another power type for controllers or such instead of just damage.
  16. Here's a deeper cut. This is from Van Halen's demo in 1976 produced by Gene Simmons.

Rest In Peace to my favorite artist.
  18. Yes, the new one. It doesn't have any fog after I edit my base and enter the zone, but if I then do a door mission and exit back into the zone the fog returns.
  19. Funny aside, after I finish editing my base and go to DA, there's no fog. It's dark, sure, but I can see quite a ways.
  20. I'll do the same thing with your Archery / EA build, through my eyes. It will be shorter. But just remember, this is how I see things and how I operate and -not- a critique on playstyle, or build, or anything else. Now that I have the PC stuff out of the way. Archery / EA is a combo I'd never even try due to my lack of imagination. How is it my archer has an aura of energy which provides defense and / or resistance? Is it a device? Did I build this device or is it implanted? If either, why didn't I or the creator of this device arm me with something better than a bow? That would be my hang up. Archery seems to be a learned, low tech skill. Energy aura seems to be very high tech or even something scientific or magical possibly. Maybe a magical archer with a magical aura of energy? Ah, possible justification, but for me the combo is a stretch and just doesn't click with me. The reason why I posted this was to just demonstrate how differently people see the same thing, but very different perspectives. It's all legit, but IMO rather interesting.
  21. No. I actually think game balance is rather important and one of the tougher aspects of an MMO for the devs to get right. That said, I don't think it's as important here as other games - except for PvP. It's a competition thing, yes, but it's also partially a QoL issue. I want to keep this short, so I'll sum it up like this - it's a terrible feeling to know you did everything correctly, and still feel like you fall short of other players - whether they're on your team or not - due to lack of balance. The whole concept of Feature Of The Month builds is based around this, and it stinks.
  22. I don't know if I have a set time, but I can tell quickly if the character is for me. My frustration factor is primary. Like when i tried my human Kehlidan (sp?) and got into the 20s and felt like I'd be better off taking boxing than using his powers. A lot of times it's character concept. A good concept one day doesn't mean a few days later the char losty his/her appeal.
