I'm old, from the classic pre-I1 and love the Superman/Hulk powersets, so it's Super Strength, for me. Foot Stomp? THE most satisfying attack, in the entire game. Hand Clap? The Hulk would be proud. Knockout Blow? Bolo wind up, hits like a freight train and watch them fly.

I only use the hero creator, so it's Spines/Fire/Fire, rather than the classic Spines/Fire/Electric, but no less effective, in my book. That looks hella-fun! Like the taunt duration in AAO and made me wonder. Would the PZ +chance for Psi proc in the AOE? Would it even slot?

<----unashamed Invulnerability fanboy Agree with everything said about "layering". Why Inv and Shield are so good, if you're looking at just survivability. I will say, however, when the Def numbers go in the red, even at 90% resist, when being hit by 10, 15, 20 enemies at at time (I'm looking at you Romanesque Cimerorans), that 10% can add up to feel like a sort of cascading failure...

And also referencing Krimson and BZB, there is already another way to pay, what, 200,000,000 INF to "craft" Rare incarnate components (25,000,000 each for Uncommon x4 and another 100,000,000 for the Rare)....

It's a "combo" based attack set, like Street Justice. Does make you work to get the combos in order, but not really challenging, once you get the rhythm down. I've never used it on a tank, but had a wonderful DB/WP scrapper on Live. Lots of animations, lots of damage.

NUT is constantly knocking them down, and when they're on their back, they can't hit you... Also, not true afk/follow-farming, because I do keep activating Hasten, Rage and Mighty Judgement, on the tank, along with using every inspiration that drops, as soon as it drops. I have also found that the Big Mobs Tunnel farm has very few "hang up" spots and goes very quickly.

Not sure what "Beta" was, but I was on the first retail distribution (remember when 40 was the top level and there were only four tank primaries?) and played almost entirely on Champion server. After my very first toon...NRG/NRG Blaster...I just wanna fly, man!...I made one of my favorite toons of all time: Kin/Dark Defender (Nosfera-too). Kin absolutely ruled the day and I made 50 in a heartbeat boosting tanks on the Chimera ninja map...well before farms and such.

I single slot Taunt with the psi-damage Perfect Zinger enhancement...so it does (occasional) damage, as well 🙂

During the last TT and Sarah Moore TF, my "properly" built Inv/SS tanker (NUT) felt the same...😆

Don't disagree, at all, but I take it and use it as a mule (five slot Impervium armor, which includes the psi-non unique)...don't even put it in my tray for usage...

Brunker, baby. Fire/MA is ridiculous. See Sovera's build (of which I copied/stole from without remorse for my tank - "Marshal Mayhem") for an incredibly tough and fun tank...that just buzzsaws through almost all content...
