  1. FFXIV Online interestingly gives you an arc where you simply get the ability to permanently breath underwater by magic. From then on any underwater mission I've seen after that has no limit on how long you can swim underwater. So much so that there are many missions where you hunt for collectables underwater for waaaaay long that should be possible if it were real life. or in other games like WoW where they still have the "breath" bar. I think it's the only game that does that. Even in the Witcher 3 I think you need to come up for air.
  2. Should also point out there is the AE where there are farm missions exactly like that mission or better.
  3. Cottage/Skyscraper rule be damned. If they are willing I would be fine with a TOTAL and complete revamp of Vigilance.
  4. Yeah a tech based enemy that mimics incarnate abilities but has no magic influence whatsoever.
  5. Interestingly in the first episode of Loki there is a line that alludes to this. It was/is a cool callout to those paying attention. I'll leave it there to avoid spoilers for those who intend to eventually watch the Disney+ series.
  6. As much as I argue about not making the base game harder, I'm also against things like this that make it any easier. Especially since there is no difficulty option that would put back the difficulty lost if suggestions like this go through. Of all the sets out there Invul is the least that needs a buff of any kind.
  7. Errr If you want to change it you have to show why it show to the devs why it should be changed. Like it or not they are sticking to the original plan of them being origin pools. And based on responses on this thread I think many players agree with that thematic idea. The burden of proof here is to on you if you're suggesting it be changed. Which I thought you were?
  8. Yeah no. I'd like to keep my defenders and corrupters separate. I think it's a dumb idea. Straight up. And you'd never get the playbase to ever agree to this.
  9. Meh I hate RNG. I simply don't use the Proc system. I find it annoying after having tried it and finding the whole thing completely unappealing. Which is why I stick with corrupters over defenders 90% of the time.
  10. In optional difficulty sure. Not at the base level.
  11. Mehhhhhhh, you should not have to use pen and paper in 2021 if you don't have to. 🙂
  12. People gotta get their fix from somewhere MAN!!!!!! *shakes from withdrawl*
  13. Errr some of the major mmos still have taunt auras and taunt. FFXIV Online for example. And they still have healers. So that kind of play still exists for those that want it (though more limited today than in the heyday of mmos).
  14. Hmmm, putting it in this context is interesting.
  15. I would not have minded number 1 IF and ONLY IF it had nothing to do with Emperor Cole. He needed to go.
  16. I'm all for anything that is optional. 🙂
  17. That sounds VERY VERY VERY familiar from what I read from them in various posts in the forums at the time.
  18. True. Which is why I always advocate for it to remain casual friendly at base level, yet offer more options to reward those who want more complex levels.
  19. Plus would you ever have adequate population there to be able to actually run it.? lol
  20. Yeah honestly I did this too at first. But changing rage does have merit. Will they ever actually touch SS after the last shitstorm they got? Who knows. But I would not blamed them if they put SS/Rage at the bottom of their 50 thousand page to do list LOL
  21. True. My reaction was based on the already existing archetypes that can tank more easily than what MMs have to do. I mean yeah MMs can clearly make it work. But that just seems so painful to base a class around, especially with how traditional mms were (no fast buffing of pets, no group aoe buffing of pets when you res-ummoned them at launch for MMs). And clearly when COV launched once again the players proved the devs thought process wrong. LOL
  22. I'm saving this post the next time someone claims COH was not built to be a casual friendly game. LMAO!
  23. Yeah I forgot which Dev admitted that years back. When I first heard that I was like "umm, wtf?" lol 🤯
  24. Hmm, okay fair, if you're talking about folks who came from the traditional Everquest style of mmo era. With that said what they built and what actually happened are two different things. That's always been the case proven time and time again, that the original devs were often surprised by what could be done vs what they thought could be done.
  25. If I get a team of 2 defenders, 2 dominators, 2 blasters, 2 controllers would you consider that soft trinity? If so then sure.
