  1. With that said I've read some of the posters here say they prefer the "batman" or "daredevil" template for super heroes versus the "X-Men" or "Superman" template. So yeah I can see how that mission is utterly ridic as you mentioned. With that said I prefer my supers . . . Super. Do I still enjoy batman and daredevil? Sure. But if I'm thinking of a super hero I'm looking for the absolutely ridiculous and fantastical . . . hence why I enjoy X-Men (especially the current iteration) and Superman more.

  3. Well maybe in 2072. . . If we're all still alive and we aren't all avatars in a virtual reality version of City of Heroes . . . being accidentally broadcast in the Italian Senate . . .LOL
  4. If it wasn't by design they never would have even thought of introducing IOs. The adjustments like ED prior were paving the way of this. Let's face it the devs never intended for this to be a hard game. (And yet at the same time maybe not as easy as it's become because of IOs) I always find it funny how a lot of folks focus on Incarnates when we have things like IOs "breaking the game" before the Incarnate system was even an idea on paper.
  5. Fair. Also to be clear, I simply won't run content I consider annoying or terrible. If an enemy group is made more annoying I simply avoid that content. I haven't fought the new Crey in a tf yet, so we'll see. Life is too short and this isn't a decade ago.
  6. I would run the shard tfs if I liked to have my eyes bleed out of their sockets. If there's one thing that needs a straight content re-design it's those, merit rewards being lowered be damned.
  7. When I'm running tfs I don't consider the non-tf rewards aren't all that important. I can get those anywhere else. If I'm doing a tf it's for the merits at end. Those who run kill-alls probably see it differently. It'd be interesting to see the data on the number of kill all tfs, regularly run tfs, or pure speed tfs as a comparison.
  8. This is actually a very good point about why the OPs suggestion would not work. This is not like live, there is no limitation on the number of accounts you can make.

  10. Arcane summed this up better than I could. This is what I'm talking about when talking about the "rules of the arena". The community's rules. And to be clear if the pvp community finds it fun, more power to them. But I'll just continue to avoid it.
  11. No, because I find the rules in the Arena completely restrictive. It's my least favorite form of pvp in this game.
  12. And I will say not every piece of feedback that comes from the "community" is useful. There are some things that are out right not. That shouldn't be ever be listened to. And I'm not just talking about trolls, I'm talking about some suggestions that would lead to bad things happening for a subscription based game or completely change a game from what it's about. Just as there is useful feedback, we have to acknowledge there most certainly is feedback that should be put straight in the trash can.
  13. And just in case it wasn't clear I 100% DISAGREE with the OPs suggestion for all the coherent and logical reasons given already in this thread. Or as the kids say nowadays /jranger.
  14. Yep I don't think ANY of my characters have any accolades, and I sure as hell know how to play the game. Been here since beta on live.
  15. I'll just leave this here. If a game as loved as FFXIV still has this issue . . . I've always tried to be kind to devs on any game I play even if I'm angry. Cause as someone who works in IT, I know how working in any type of IT environment is a completely thankless job at times. Be kind everyone. 🙂

  19. Meh I kinda disagree with this. The one thing I will fully agree with is that Opportunity needs a rework. Mac's idea for opportunity is a great one. The current Opportunity I don't pay attention to at all when I play a Sentinel. I find it pointless.

  21. Sooooo the bottom line is some one with authority already said this is likely to NOT happen on Homecoming. But folks are still arguing about it. Not convicting the ones in charge or anyone else. So a typcial Thursday. good to know.
  22. I'm just glad someone in charge already came in a said why this idea is nonstarter. glad to see. Anything else is just yelling into the wind at this point.
  23. Give it a few weeks and it will stabilize. Happens every time a new issue hits. Then prices go back down. The good news is the devs can re-seed the market at will. This isn't like the live game where the main motivating factor behind what Paragon did was profit . . . and keeping their jobs.
  24. Arguing for or against changes in an mmo is inherently combative. There is nothing wrong with that. It's the nature of the beast. Sometimes your suggestion is on the side of the minority and other times its the majority. Also lets keep in mind that what players find fun has changed over the years. Time wasters in MMOs has been something that folks have been less and less interested in. Especially if they aren't fun. And yes, there ARE unfun AND fun time wasters. Some of the stuff in FFXIV for instance is a time waster on purpose due to it being a subscription based MMO. But a lot of folks find them fun. (For example: Having to do some 4 man tf like content to progress in the overall story at certain points.)
