  1. A Blood Widow speaking to a Fortunata Seer in the Double Down fortress of St. Martial: "I'm just saying...making the moves on your superior's girlfriend is probably not the best way to get ahead within the Recluse organization."
  2. Thank you kindly, @Aberrant. Any chance of getting those pieces added to the wiki? Who do we contact to fix that?
  3. With Swift and Hurdle now being Inherent, it's made things significantly easier in my experience compared to the olden days of Legacy/Retail.
  4. Or being able to toggle certain categories for costume pieces. ie: Toggle off Monster Heads when Randomizing.
  5. Pipedream: Overhaul the 3D rendering and animation. There are some serious limitations in there that really cramp the potential for making a LOT of the suggestions people ask for work the way they expect them to. Wall climbing could be done from a technical standpoint, but the animations would be so janky that I expect most people wouldn't want it. Motorcycles and vehicles are doable, but animating them would result in some really stiff movement. Underwater is already showcased in the game, but again the animations when you cast Powers would require either another pass of every single attack and emote with the swimming stance, or your character would adopt the flying stance for them, which wouldn't necessarily look quite right either. Personally, I wouldn't mind that much . . . but based on some market research, it seems I'm in a stark minority on that front. Almost everything else is doable, if perhaps a little dicey to pull off. The interactions which are possible in this engine are pretty robust if you're willing to extrapolate and use plenty of abstractions.
  6. Ah, dang. The best I can get you is: https://archive.paragonwiki.com/w/images//9/9d/V_MissionComplete1.ogg I thought you were referring to the -other- trailer music, and I was so ready to share https://archive.paragonwiki.com/w/images//d/dc/PortOakes_FortBlood.ogg But an extended/full version of the Villain's mission completion fanfare? All I can do is suggest searching through https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Music (Note: The Homecoming-specific Wiki's Music page is not yet complete https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Music)
  7. We dabbled very lightly in Farscape over in https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/14752-stargates/ and https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/14088-star-trek/ Although the show probably deserves its own thread. Anyone willing to step up and start it?
  8. I do the same. When I first started on Homecoming, I foolishly used Merits to get SOs on all my characters. As I plug away and level them up, I try to mitigate the damage done by using the Freespecs to collect and sell the SOs when it comes time to change my Enhancements. I do miss the feature of Legacy where you automatically got a full price refund for all Enhancements lost during a Respec. I'm rather sad to see that had been removed.
  9. Additionally, once you've experienced the arcs, you can provide your feedback in the official thread: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/10968-feedback-new-story-arcs/
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SpNjBI1lu0 When do we attach lasers to it?
  11. As a serious answer to your question, @Ohsirus, there are plans to introduce some new Exploration Badge Tip Missions. As everything, naturally, there are no guarantees.
  12. I think @arthurh35353 is referring specifically to the version number for the launcher software itself.
  13. Note: It some myths, a celestial being's powers ARE innate, but the petty and jealous god either seals them away or removes them as a punishment. That kind of muddy's the water for the distinction, but I'd argue that it's still Natural: If said god needs to actively remove or suppress the abilities, then they're Natural. If the mere absence of a connection to the god renders the Powers inert, then they're Magic. Which means it's possible for a celestial being to not even -know- whether their Powers are Magic or Natural. Then again, if the celestial being was specific created by the god in the first place, and all Powers initially originating from a godly source are Magical . . . *starts to chase Its own tentacles in circles*
  14. The definition from the game is "Your powers are tied to mystical or divine forces that you control." "Divine" is pretty easy to further extrapolate for this game, since "gods" are all over the frickin' place. Honestly, the world's lousy with 'em! Not to mention the scads of extradimensional entities which could take up that moniker for themselves too. "Mystical" is perhaps a little more ambiguous, and gives us more wiggle room. But still, it kind of loops back around toward something quasi-religious in a lot of contexts. Basically, you know the old saying "a wizard did it," yeah? For City of Heroes, it's more like "the Well did it."
  15. Given the current free, unlimited accounts, with 1000 character slots per Shard each, I think the best solution would be for the introduction of a "Whitelist" to Base Storage Containers. This would hopefully be the least impactful to the Devs, and allow for players to meet most needs.
  16. I rebound my F7 to the enterbase command. I had to check the Wiki to find out what F7 originally defaults as. Been a VERY long time since I've seen anyone say "Ready!" while playing.
  17. I know there are other players who have a LOT to say about the mechanics of Kinetic Melee, and I don't know enough about that topic because of my primary hand-up for Kinetic Melee; it has a VERY distinct visual style. It's not bad. It's just not terribly appealing to me. If there could be some alternate animations for the Set, I think I would be able to feel more inclined to playing it. I do have one Kinetic/Energy Stalker who is pretty nifty and works within the loose concept, but generally I eschew the flashier stuff. A more subdued set of optional animations for Kinetic Melee would definitely give me interest in trying it more frequently. But that's also probably a rather narrow point of view, and one I imagine won't be shared by many. I just wanted to get it out there before the tidal wave of discussion hits regarding the mechanical issues with the Set.
  18. More tentacles is good tentacles, I always say! Granted, I'm generally talking about, uh, "friendly" tentacles when I say it, but I'm not against tentacles in this scenario as described either. The only concern I have it that the muckies can run around. Tentacles tend to be stationary in this game.
  19. That's not a @Faultline! That's a @Number Six! (Thanks for posting the link, @Ura Hero.)
  20. We brainstormed some ideas for Mayhem mission rewards a while back. Could just as easily be examined as rewards for Safeguards too: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/19591-make-mayhem-missions-more-rewarding/ Although I'm certainly of the opinion that Mayhem Missions should be more rewarding than Safeguards, if only because robbing a bank should net someone more clout than protecting it in a city full of heroes.
  21. Why settle for Captain, when you could be Admiral Mediocre!?
  22. (( Creative idea! I'mma have to check this out. Thank you for sharing. )) (( Ok! Ran it. Overall I'm pretty pleased with how it went. (( Gave me pretty strong vibes of the Robomat from Magellan ( http://Magellanverse.com ) and that's a very good thing. Well done in that regard! Although I think they could use some custom descriptions. (( First mission does exactly what it says on the tin. Nice. (( Second mission . . . I liked the idea behind it, but I think ALL of the terminals should have some variation of a Trolley Car Problem on them as the one terminal did (Terminal D, I think it was?), rather than most of them being just silly flavour text. This would allow roleplayers the opportunity to all share what their individual terminals are testing them on, and give their answers to the Instructor. After all, those progress bars take FOREVER. May as well fill the time with something, right? (( For mission three it was said the area was Kings Row, but the map used was Terra Volta, which would honestly fit better given the enemy factions at play in the zone. Granted, it might also make sense to have the mission set to the 21 to 35 range for those factions too. But then again, it's all just a simulation, right? No need to worry about canon quite so much. (( Mission four . . . Arachnos Layer Cake Room. *dies* (Luckily, my instance of the 'Mastermind' spawned down one of the smaller dead-end hallways.) (( There were some minor typos and spelling errors here and there throughout the arc. An editorial pass may be worthwhile. Also, I think the post-accept-click text could be an opportunity for you to express some additional characterization, especially for the fourth mission. It would be good, I think, to give Brawler something more to say than just "Clock's ticking" all the time. (( Thanks for publishing this! I hope it garners plenty of attention. ))
  23. The Long Range Teleport Power would, I assume, be shortened to L.R.T. However, most everywhere I see people using "LTR." Did I miss something? Is this just some kind of universal typo due to the way QWERTY keyboards are laid out? Is there some kind of cultural impetus which psychs people in to using this spelling? Was there a joke cracked in Open Beta which I missed in that monster of a thread? What's the deal with this?
  24. I'm not even sure how this ended up on my playlist, but: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgFaK6ZQifE
