  1. Alternatively, what about tweaking down the Lethal Damage in Icicles very slightly, but adding Cold Damage to Chilling Embrace? Like the thoughts about allowing for more Resistance to be slotted, but I find that I usually have enough reason to 6-Slot my Defensive Powers with just Defense Sets, so I'm not sure I would benefit at all from that particular part of the proposal. Not against it, either. And really now, @Galaxy Brain! How did you forget Wet Ice? I've heard the removal of Defense Slotting from that Power was done by the Legacy Devs back in the day to "save players from a noob trap," since Wet Ice's Defenses are so microscopic that no amount of Enhancements could make a worthwhile impact in the Power's numbers. BUT . . . IO Sets are a thing now. Could we not allow Defense IO Sets without allowing regular Defense Enhancements? Is that not a possibility? I think it would open a lot of potential in the Set for high-end Builds! I'd even opt to wholeheartedly accept your Resistance in Frozen Armour suggestion if I could just move my Defense Set down to Wet Ice instead.
  2. Have we got Arrow Control up in this thread yet? I feel like we should have an Arrow Control Set. Or would that not be Eco-Friendly enough, since we'd have to basically invent every Power in the Set from mostly-scratch to avoid stepping on Trick Arrow's toes? I mainly just want it for Dominators.
  3. Having an alt character on Legacy/Retail who logged out in Paragon Dance Party back when -that- zone was eventually "removed," I discovered that the map was still in the game even years later. While the doors in the public zones no longer pointed to the Dance Party map, at least the Steel Canyon door inside the Dance Party still worked. I don't know what would happen if a map is entirely removed from the game, a character parked there might before corrupted, but I think a petition to a GM could forcibly move said character to another Zone for you. But that shouldn't be a problem here; even after the Winter Event is over, the seasonal zone still exists in the game. You'd just talk to Null the Gull to get there all year around.
  4. Here's a thought . . . buying Temporary Powers from the P2W Vendor no longer rewards them directly to the Powers Window, but instead become Claim'able Character Items in the Email Window? Added benefit: Buy a tonne of them from your main character on an account, and then just claim them on your alts without having to transfer funds. Didn't the Signature Summons used to be rewards from the Real-Money Super Packs back during Legacy/Retail anyway?
  5. Honestly . . . why -not- make a Unique for each enemy faction? Minor Negative Energy Proc for sufficient Skulls. Minor Energy for Clockwork. Minor Heal Proc from Ally-target Buffs for Longbow. Don't rush it, of course. Just one to three of these little things added here and there as time goes on. Alternatively, if the time and energy is available, why not a whole Set for each enemy faction?
  6. Thank you! I've been looking for that for ages now! Muchly appreciated, @Aberrant.
  7. More varied options for the Prestige Attacks would be a wonderful thing! I tried to find any other threads on this idea, and I -thought- there would be a few, but my search-fu seems to be weak. The idea of an EMP Mace is pretty on-point, and sounds solid. A "lightwand" is a little more "eh" to me, as I'm not sure it would be distinct enough from the Nemesis Staff. Maybe something which deals Toxic Damage? Some kind of Prestige Mutant Attack Power? There's not currently a lot of Mutant representation in the Prestige Powers.
  8. Dang. Was tracking so well . . . Lots of good suggestions in here otherwise! But one sentence? Hmm . . . "City of Heroes is an MMORPG from 2004 which taught us that we could make our characters uniquely our own, and it's good enough that even seven sunset years wasn't enough to kill it."
  9. (( Since real money transactions are strictly against the Terms of Use, I'm sure that @jencohv is speaking in terms of in-game Inf and/or Loot, or even just roleplayed pretend currency. ))
  10. Level 21 you say? Were there any Mu Guardians around? They cast Heals on other Arachnos.
  11. I'd even keep the Sidekick available in team play, BUT make them progressively weaker based on the number of allied players in range. Basically a Conservation of Ninjutsu ( https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ConservationOfNinjutsu ), but with Sidekick Potency instead.
  12. As an intentional Inf sink, I don't imagine the Devs would want to do such a thing as allow these to be permanent. And if they ever did, I imagine the Signature Summons would be something like a full 2 Billion each. I think the costs are honestly already excessive, but these are definitely luxury items, so I'm not going to die on a hill to make them more accessible right now. So, no objection to the suggestion, but based on my understanding of their current implementation, the suggestion also goes against what the Devs have suggested is their specific design intention. In the long run, though, I would like to see permanent Sidekick summonables. That would require some kind of pet costume customization be developed, though, and ideally a way to customize their Powers a little too (or just select "prepackaged" Sidekicks with specific Power Set combos). Also, I think it could be really fun if these Sidekicks became flagged as "captured" whenever they despawn after being defeated, and you would need to either revive them on the spot, or run a special Rescue mission to get them back. Would such permanent Sidekicks be a good solution to your concern, @TrueBornTyrant?
  13. Would you feel comfortable sharing the specs of your computer? Things like RAM, operating system, processor, and graphics card might help diagnose the issue.
  14. My understanding of it, based on information during the original City of Villains Beta and the concept art, at least for the Wolf Spiders it was always meant to be gender non-discriminatory. But the character models for Arachnos NPCs took time and resources, so it was decided for an entirely development pipeline reason that they would just focus on the male Spiders. While it's not hard to believe that the same could be true for the Widows/Fortunata, their names do suggest a certain gendered aspect. All the same, it was clearly established with Villain Epics that yes; Arachnos is equal opportunity, and past references to gendered roles in the organization were either non-canon or simply no longer restricted. I have LONG felt that we should have that representation show up in the NPCs as well, but it's still a matter of someone needing to do the work. If Homecoming had taken a more open source approach to development, this would have been one of the first projects I would jump on. Relatively low overhead, enriches the lore of the game, and demonstrates a willingness to be forward focused. As it stands, though, the specific development methodologies of Homecoming are largely secret, and I don't think any of the existing Dev team have decided to take up the initiative on this project. I'd support it wholesale, and would be willing to help, if possible.
  15. Before anyone else replies, I'd just like to say: Given the previous treads, and the use of that particular individual in the profile images for those accounts, I'm leaning heavily in to just assuming malicious trolling at this point. I really don't like to make such an assumption, but I'm at a loss for a more fitting explanation under Occam's Razor. Quietly walking away might just be in everyone's best interest.
  16. Talon Agent: I have a very bad feeling about this. Talon Agent: Agent Jergen's raised the threat level to fuchsia. I think that's above red.
  17. Here are some of the various grunts in The Army of Commandant Nongratis: I wish there were a cut-off version of the camo fatigue pants.
  18. I generally chose Galaxy over Atlas (when I wasn't choosing Mercy, anyway). I do miss it. Galaxy City always felt more real with the way the zone was laid out from a city planning standpoint. Atlas' design smacks of "this is a video game place, for video game things" to me.
  19. I dunno . . . I think we've defeated well over 20,000 Rikti in Paragon City over the past eight to fifteen years. They gotta make up those numbers from somewhere, right?
  20. My recommendations while listening to some Richard Cheese:
  21. Which key are you trying to bind the command to, and which Power are you trying to get to work?
  22. "*something else here*" . . . The coveted "Shield Throw," perhaps? And I had some thoughts on how to pull it off visually, since apparently that's been a sticking point in its development . . . The Power would summon a full Doppleganger model of the player-character, but apply transparency to the entirety of the model other than the Shield. Said model could then strike an awkward pose to give the appearance of the Shield being thrown through the air as the model moves to the target destination. Apply additional visual effects for launch, travel, and impact as appropriate. Such a Power would also disable all other Shield Ancillary Pool Powers for a few seconds (5?) to represent that the player-character literally just threw their protection away.
  23. "True Rikti" are extraterrestrial AND from another dimension (it remains to be seen if there are "True Rikti" in the Primal Dimension). The Rikti that invaded the Primal Dimension are converted humans from Rikti Earth. The majority of Rikti that continue to fight on Primal Earth are converts from The Lost. At least that's my reading of the lore presented, sourced additionally from the Lore Bible and A.M.A.s. But the topic on hand . . . there's a LOT of inconsistency, both narratively and strictly from a pure gameplay standpoint, when it comes to this decision to remove the Echo Zones from Base Telepads. It really doesn't add up any way you slice it.
  24. https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Powexec_location_(Slash_Command) So, let's say you want to drop a Tar Patch on the enemy you have selected: /bind KEY powexeclocation target Tar Patch
  25. What? "Nobody would want" Emmy? That's not what -I've- been hearing in . . . "That" Channel.
